Chapter 1. Meet your computer
Front
1. Venti ation s ots Dissipate interna heat.
Note: Do not b ock the venti ation s ots. Otherwise, the computer
might overheat.
2. Infrared LED Emit infrared ight for face authentication.
3. Front camera • Capture sti and moving images for taking photos, recording
videos, and video chatting.
• Capture your face images for face authentication.
Note: Use Windows He o to enro your face for face
authentication.
4. Camera ight If the ight is on, the camera is in use.
5. Wi-Fi antennas Send and receive radio waves for the bui t-in wire ess LAN ( oca area
network) and B uetooth modu e.
Notes:
• The antennas are not visib e from the outside of the computer.
• If the ocation of the antennas is c ose to the user’s body (< 20 cm),
you can find the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) va ues in the Setup
Guide that comes with your computer.

Right
1. USB-CTM connector (a ways-on) The a ways-on connector can charge externa devices when the
computer is turned off, in s eep or hibernation mode. The a ways-on
function can be turned on or off in the UEFI/BIOS setup uti ity.
Note: If Lenovo Vantage is pre-insta ed on your computer, you can
a so set a ways-on function from within that software.
2. Vo ume buttons Press the button to increase or decrease the system vo ume.
3. Power button (with a ight) • Press the button to turn on the computer or put the computer into
s eep mode.
• The power button has an integrated ight to show the power status.
– On: The computer is turned on.
– Off: The computer is turned off or in hibernation mode.
– B inking: The computer is in s eep mode.

magnetica y.
2. B uetooth fo io keyboard
switch
Push the switch to a different position to enab e the fo owing functions.
• Off position: Keyboard is turned off.
• Midd e position: Keyboard is turned on and wi connect with the atest
connected device.
• B uetooth icon position: Press and ho d the B uetooth fo io keyboard switch to
the B uetooth icon position for three seconds. The keyboard wi enab e
B uetooth pairing.
Note: The spring switch wi move back to the midd e position automatica y
after re easing the switch.
3. B uetooth ight • So id amber: Keyboard is charging through the pogo pin.
• Continuous y b inking white (up to 1 min): Pairing
• So id white (for three seconds) and then off: Paired
• S ow y b inking white: Keyboard is working and connected with pogo pin.
• B inking amber: Battery power is ow.
• Off:
– Keyboard is fu y charged and connected with pogo pin.
– The keyboard battery has no power.
4. Keyboard Enter characters and interact with programs.

Chapter 2. Get started with your computer
Work with Windows
The fo owing tab e contains Windows frequent y used settings. You can earn the basics and start working
with Windows right away.
To configure settings, type the corresponding keywords in the Windows search box and se ect the best
match. Fo ow the on-screen instructions to customize settings.

For mode s with a wire ess LAN modu e, you can connect your computer to
a Wi-Fi® network. C ick the network icon in the Windows notification area,
and then se ect a network for connection.
Note: The wire ess LAN modu e on your computer may support different
standards. For some countries or regions, use of 802.11ax may be disab ed
according to oca regu ations.

B uetooth device
B uetooth is a short-range wire ess communications techno ogy. Use
B uetooth to estab ish a wire ess connection between your computer and
another B uetooth-enab ed device within a distance of about 10 m (32.8 ft).
Notes:
• If the B uetooth device supports Swift Pair, you wi receive a notification
when it is nearby.
• For more information, see the document that comes with the B uetooth
device.
B uetooth
Airp ane mode Airp ane mode is a convenient setting to turn a wire ess communications of
your computer on and off. You may need to turn it on when boarding an
airp ane.
Airp ane mode
Night ight mode Night ight is a switch in Windows that you can turn on and off. When it is
turned on, your screen shows warmer co ors and the amount of emitted
b ue ight is reduced. Enab ing night ight reduces the chances of deve oping
eye fatigue or eye strain.

Windows
Updates
Microsoft periodica y re eases feature and security updates to the Windows
operating system. Updates that are app icab e to your Windows version are
down oaded automatica y when your computer is connected to the
Internet. When updates are down oaded, you are prompted to restart the
computer to insta these updates. You can a so manua y check if there are
avai ab e updates for the insta ed version of Windows.
ttention: On y use Windows Update to down oad and insta updates.
Updates down oaded from other sources may inc ude security risks.

Lenovo Vantage and Lenovo PC Manager
Lenovo Vantage and Lenovo PC Manager is software deve oped by Lenovo. Using the software, you can:
• View product information
• View warranty and support information
• Run hardware scan and diagnose prob ems
• Change hardware settings
• Update Windows, drivers, and UEFI/BIOS
Lenovo Vantage or PC Manager may be pre-insta ed on your computer. To open it, enter the software name
in Windows Search and se ect the matched resu t.
Note: If Lenovo Vantage is not pre-insta ed, you can down oad it from Microsoft Store.
Use a nano SIM card (for selected models)
If your computer has a nano SIM card s ot on the eft side of the computer, you can insert a nano SIM card
into the nano SIM card s ot to estab ish wire ess WAN connections.
Install a nano SIM card
Step 1. Use an ejection too to eject the card tray, and then s ide the tray out of the computer.
Step 2. Insta a new nano SIM card into the tray and insert the tray into the card s ot. Ensure that the new
nano SIM card is insta ed in the correct orientation.

Use a microSD card
Your computer has a microSD card s ot on the eft side of the computer. You can insert a microSD card into
the microSD card s ot to expand the computer oca storage capacity.
ttention:
• Before hand ing the microSD card, touch a meta tab e or a grounded meta object. Otherwise the card
might get damaged by the static e ectricity from your body.
• During data transfer, do not put your computer into s eep mode; otherwise, your data cou d get damaged.
Install a microSD card
Step 1. Use an ejection too to eject the card tray, and then s ide the tray out of the computer.
Step 2. Insta a new microSD card into the tray and insert the tray into the card s ot. Ensure that the new
microSD card is insta ed in correct orientation.

Combination of computer and Bluetooth folio keyboard
A ign the connector of the keyboard with the computer and then attach the computer in the direction shown
by the arrow.
Note: Pair the B uetooth fo io keyboard with the computer the first time you use the keyboard. The B uetooth
fo io keyboard supports swift pair.
Use the kickstand
Your computer has a bui t-in kickstand. Pivot the kickstand from the pits on both sides of the computer to
the open position as shown.

With the kickstand open, you can use the computer in the fo owing modes.
• Stand mode without B uetooth fo io keyboard attached
• Stand mode with B uetooth fo io keyboard attached
• Sty us mode
The kickstand is mu ti-positiona . You can adjust the kickstand to various ang es for a comfortab e user
experience.
ttention: The appropriate kickstand ang e is 45º–150º. Using the kickstand at an improper ang e may
damage the computer.
Use a pen
Depending on the mode , your computer might come with a pen. The pen enab es you to write and draw in a
natura manner.

You can view or change functions of pen buttons in the Lenovo Pen Settings. For more information, refer to
the User Guide of the software.
Notes:
• The pen is not waterproof. Take care not to drop the pen in water.
• The pen contains pressure sensors. Do not push the tip of the pen for an extended period of time. Do not
subject the pen to shock or vibration.
• The defau t function of each pen button might vary in different apps.
• The Lenovo Pen Settings may be pre-insta ed on your computer. To open it, enter the software name in
Windows Search and se ect the matched resu t. If the software is not pre-insta ed, you can down oad and
insta the atest drivers from https://support. enovo.com.
Lenovo Digital Pen (for selected models)
The Lenovo Digita Pen referred to as the pen in this section.
1. Pen cap Unscrew the pen cap to insta or rep ace a battery.
2. Top barre button To right-c ick, ho d the button and tap the screen in supported app ications.
3. Bottom barre button To erase text or drawings, ho d the button to erase the object in supported
app ications.
4. Pen tip Write or draw on the touch screen.
