Cautions and Warnings
Electrostatic Discharge
The tablet components may be damaged by electrostatic discharge (ESD). Always use an ESD mat and ground
strap when working with internal components.
Battery Safety Guidelines
Handle Battery with care. Ensure Battery edges and surfaces are not dented or deformed. If the Battery Pack
is dropped to the floor, it may be internally damaged and must be scrapped.
Ensure all surfaces, fixtures, and tablet components contacting the Battery are smooth and clean.
Ensure Battery and its insulation are not damaged (e.g. scratched, dented, punctured) prior to and throughout
assembly.
Prior to assembly, ensure Battery edges and surfaces are not dented or deformed, and that fixtures and parts
that will contact the Battery are free of foreign material.
Ensure screws and screwdrivers do not contact the Battery.
Failure to adhere to Safety Critical Note(s) may increase risk of rupture, burning, or failure to function safely
when used by the customer.

SIM Tray Removal
1. Power off the device before beginning with the
procedure. Insert the SIM/SD Tray Removal
Tool into the SIM/SD Tray hole.
2. Push the SIM/SD Tray Removal Tool into the
SIM/SD Tray hole until the SIM/SD Tray ejects
from the tablet
3. Remove the SIM/SD Tray from the tablet
NOTE
The SIM/SD Tray can be recovered
and reused after removal.

SN Label Removal
Use the Tweezers to peel the SN Label from the
SIM/SD Tray
NOTE
Remove the SN Label only if necessary.
After you remove it, you cannot reuse it.

Display Removal
NOTE
The Display can be recovered and
reused after removal if it is undamaged.
1. Preheat the heating platform* to 75to 75℃℃,
then put the device on, then put the device on
the heating platform with the heating platform
with the screen facing down. screen facing
down.
2. Heat for 5 minutes.
3. Remove the Tablet from the platform.
// CAUTION //
Wear protective gloves when handling heated
Tablet.
NOTE
Perform the Display removal procedure before the
Tablet starts to cool off.

4. Use suction cup to suck display and Rear cover
to create a snap between display and middle
frame.
NOTE
Make sure to start at the Volume Key
position as shown.
5. Use the Shim to disengage the snaps on the
display. Work your way around the edges of
the tablet in the direction as shown.
NOTE
Care to avoid damaging the display,
middle frame and rear cover.
NOTE
Care while doing this step do not open
the display to avoid damage LCM FPC
NOTE
If needed, reheat the tablet for no more than 5 min
and repeat.

6. Carefully open the display to 45 degrees from
the bottom side,
NOTE
The side with front camera is top side, and the
opposite is bottom side
7. Use the Torque Driver and JCIS #0 Bit to
remove the 1 green screws from the LCM FPC
steel.
8. Use the Tweezers to remove the LCM FPC
steel from the tablet.
9. Use the flat end of the Black stick to disengage
the Battery BtB Connector from the Main PCB.
10. Use your fingers to remove the Display
NOTE
The LCM FPC steel can be recovered
and reused after removal.

LCM FPC Removal
1. Use the Tweezers to remove the LCD ZIF
Connector Mylar and conductive Cloth from
the LCM FPC connector.
2. Use the flat end of the Black stick to open LCD
ZIF connector and remove the LCM FPC by the
handle
NOTE
The LCM FPC can be recovered and reused
after removal.
3. Use your fingers remove the LCM FPC by
handle as shown
NOTE
Remove the LCD ZIP Connector Mylar and
LCM FPC Conductive Fabric only if necessary,
After you remove them, you cannot reuse them

Battery Connector Steel
Removal
1. Use the Torque Driver and JCIS #0 Bit to
remove the 2 Green Screws from the Battery
Connector steel.
2. Use the Tweezers to remove the Battery
Connector Steel from the tablet.
NOTE
The Battery Connector steel can be
recovered and reused after removal.
3. Use the flat end of the Black stick to disengage
Battery BtB connector from the Main board as
shown
