INSTALLATIONOFTHEPHONEHOLDER:
InstallationofthephoneholderRemovalofthephoneholder
Pushinthephoneholderalongtheslidingchuteontherearofthecontroller.Thephoneholderis
correctlyinplacewhenyouhearaslight‘click’.Lockinthescrewwithascrewdriver.
Toremovethephoneholder,removethescrewwithascrewdriver.
Presstheroundbuttonlocatedjustundertheslidingchuteontherearofthecontroller.While
pressingthebuttondown,pullthephoneholderupwardsoutoftheslidingchute.
Thepositionofthephoneholdercanbeadjusted
throughthreepartsofthephoneholder.
INSTALLATIONOFTHEPROTECTIVERINGS:
Removetheprotectiveringsandcorrespondingscrews
fromtheaccessoriespackage.
Alignthescrewpositionontheprotectiveringontothe
‘arm’ofthedrone.
Cliptheprotectiveringintothe‘arm’ofthedrone.
Useananchorscrewandthescrewdrivertoscrewthe
protectiveringinplace.
Toremovetheprotectiveringfromthedrone,usethescrewdrivertoundothescrew,thenholdthe
protectiveringclosetothe‘arm’ofthedrone.Pulltheprotectiveringoffthe‘arm’ofthedroneina
gentleupwardsmotion.
CHARGINGOFTHELITHIUMBATTERY:
Thebatterypackmayneedchargingbeforeflying.
Afullchargeofthebatterycantake150–180minutes.
Theflighttimeonafullychargedbatteryisupto15minutes.
Tochargethebattery:
Removethebatteryfromthedronebypushingdownonthereleasepointsonthebattery.
Connectthechargeleadtothechargingportonthebattery.
ConnecttheUSBendtoaUSBchargingpoint.
Whilethebatteryischarging,thelightonthebatterywillshowredlightsindicatingthechargelevel
ofthebattery.
Whenthebatteryhascompletedcharging,the3redlightsonthebatterywillremainon(still).
Whenchargingiscomplete,disconnectthechargeleadfromthebattery.
Putthebatteryintothedrone.
*Ifthedronewillnotbeusedforalongtime,pleasemaintain50%ofchargeinthebattery,soasto
lengthentheservicelifeofthebattery.Tomaintain50%charge,itonlyneedstobechargedfor90
minutes.
CAUTIONSWHENCHARGING:
1. Whenchargingthedrone,ensureitisinadry,wellventilatedareaawayfromanyheat
sourcesandexplosiveitems.
2. Whencharging,removethebatteryfromthedrone.

1. Oncethedroneisturnedon,accessthesettingsonyoursmartphoneandopentheWIFI
settings.
2. FindtheWIFInetworkHK‐GPS‐720P‐XXXXXandconnecttothatWIFInetwork.
3. Whentheconnectionhasbeenmadesuccessfully,exitoutofthesettingsonyoursmart
phone.
FLYINGTHEDRONE(INDOORUSEORWITHNOGPSCONNECTION):
1. Ensurethebatteryisfullychargedandtheremotecontrollerhasbatteriesinstalledinitwith
anadequateamountofcharge.
2. Powerthedroneon,byholdingthepowerbuttonfor5
seconds.
Thelightsonthedronewillbegintoflash,indicatingthat
thedroneisreadytobepaired.
3. Poweronthecontrollerbymovingtheonswitchuptothe
onposition.
4. Pairthedroneandthecontrollerbymovingthe
leftjoystickupwardstothe12o’clockpositionandthen
downwardstothe6o’clockposition.
Thelightsonthedronewillnotbeflashingand
remainon.
Therearlightontherighthandsideofthedronewill
remainblinking(cannotreceiveGPSsignal),thisisnormalin
thismode.
5. Tostartflying,moveboththelefthandandrighthandside
joystickatthesametime.Movethelefthandsidejoystickto
the5o’clockpositionandtherighthandsidejoysticktothe
7o’clockpositionatthesametime.
6. Whenthebladesonthedronehavestartedspinning,
movethelefthandjoystickuptobeginflight.
Theonekeytakeoffwillnotworktostartflightwhen
usingthecontrolleronit’sown.
7. Toland,pressthethrottle(lefthandjoystick)ortheonekey
takeoff/landingbutton.
8. Theappcanalsobeopenedtoviewrealtimeflightandtakephotosorvideos.Amessage
willhaveshownonthescreen“Whethertheaircraftmagnetomeriscalibratedornot,yesor
no.Pressyes,toviewtheimagetransmittedfromthecamera.

CALIBRATINGTHEDRONE:
**EnsurepairingthedronewiththeappisdoneoutdoorstoachievegreatGPSsignal,ifyour
locationcannotreceiveGPSsignal,pleasere‐locatetoabetterpositionwhichcan.Donotpair
indoorsandawayfromsourceswhichcancauseinterferencetotheGPS,eg:electricitytowers,
electricitysourceswithhighvoltage.**

2. Powerthedroneon,byholdingthepowerbuttonfor5seconds.

4. AfterPairing,accessthesettingsonyoursmartphoneandopentheWIFIsettings.
FindtheWIFInetworkHK‐GPS‐720‐XXXXXandconnecttothatWIFInetwork.
Whentheconnectionhasbeenmadesuccessfully,exitoutofthesettingsonyoursmart
phone.
5. OpentheappHKGPSonyoursmartphone.
6. ChoosedronemodelFX‐8Ginthetoplefthandcorner(ifapplicable).
7. PressENTERontheopeningscreenontheapp.Amessagewillhaveshownonthe
screen“Whethertheaircraftmagnetomeriscalibratedornot,yesorno.Pressno.The
nextmessageonthescreenwillshow“Prepareforgeomagneticcalibration”.
8. Therearlightsonthedronewillbeflashingquicklywhenitisingeomagneticcalibration
mode.
Pickupthedroneandrotateithorizontallyclockwiseuntilthelightintheleftcorner
remainson.
Thenturnthedroneverticallyandrotateituntilthelightintherightcornerremainson.
Whenthisisdone,itmeansthatcalibrationhasbeencompletedsuccessfully.
9. Putthedroneonaflatsurface.Therearrighthandsidelightwillflashslowly.Thisisdue
tothedronesearchingforGPSsignal.GPSsearchingforthefirsttimecanbeslow,
pleasewaitforittocomplete.WhenithascompletedGPSsearching,therearrighthand
sidelightwillstopflashingandremainon.GPSconnectionhasbeensuccessful.
10. Presstheonekeytakeoff/landingbuttontobeginflight.
11. Toland,pressthethrottle(lefthandjoystick)ortheonekeytakeoff/landingbutton.
**Note,Ifthedronehoversunstably,plslandthedroneandpressthisiconintheapp
interfaceforgyroscopecalibration.
SPEED:
Pressthespeedbuttononthecontrollertochangethe
flightspeed.

BASICOPERATION:

Whentherighthandsidejoystickistouchedortheonekeyreturnbuttonispressedagain,itwill
stopthereturn.

Intheapp,marktheflyingpoints(maxof5flyingpointspertime)andpress.
Youcansettheflyingheight,hovertimeandflightspeedyourself).
Aftersetting,presstheonekeytakeoffbuttononthecontroller,thedronewillflytothefirstpoint,
thenthesecondpointandsoon.Itwillbehoveringandwaitingforthenextinstructionafterthelast

HEADLESSMODE:
Duringthepairingofthedroneandthecontroller,ensurethattheheadofthedrone
Isfacingtothefront(andthepositionofthecameraisinthefront)andisconsistentwiththefront
oftheremotecontroller.
Whenthedroneisinheadlessmode,theflyingdirectionisoperatedbygeographyasshownbelow.
Nomatterhowthedroneturns,itwillfollowthedirectionasitsetwhilepairing.

1. Removethescrewontherotorblade
2. Removetherotorbladebypullingitupwardoffthemotorstalk.
3. ReplacetherotorbladebymakingsuretoreplaceitwiththeequivalentbladeAforAorB
forB.
4. Pressthereplacementbladeintopositionmakingsuretoaligntheholeofthescrew,then
fastenthescrew.
EMERGENCYSTOP:
Toavoidanaccident,youcanusetheemergencystopbutton.
IfthedroneisinGPSmodeflyingorNonGPSmodeflying,theemergencystopfunctionisonly
workablewhenthedroneislowerthan2meters.
Toactivateemergencylanding,presstheemergencystopbuttononcontrolleroryoucanmovethe
lefthandsidejoysticktothe5o’clockpositionandtherighthandsidejoysticktothe7o’clock
positionatthesametime.Thedronewillthenquicklycoastdowntotheground.
Itishighlyrecommendedthatyoudonotpushthisbuttonunlessitisanemergency.
ALTITUDEHOLD:
WhenthedronehasnotbeenconnectedwithGPSflying,itwillhavealtitudeholdfunctionandwill
flyinatafixedheight.
