1. Instruction
Cellmeter8 isa cleverdevicethatcan showyou the condition ofyourbatterypacks,
Itcan be used with the mostcommon batterytypesused forthe rc modeling namely
LiLon(Lithiumlon)
LiPo(LithiumPolymer)
LiFe(LithiumFerrite)
LiHV(High Voltage LithiumBattery)
NiCd(NickelCadmium)
NiMH(NickelMetalHydrate)
LithiumBatteryTypes( Lipo.Li-Ion,LiFe, LiHV)withoutthe need forthe additionalpowersupply,
CellMeter8cansupport 2S-8S,Test1S Lithiumbattery,you need toaccess morethan 3Sof
NickelBatteries, or5VUBECtoNiCd/MHport forthe Cellmeter8 to provide working power
NickelBatterytype (NiCdorNiMH)withouttheneedforadditionalpowersupplyofcellmeter8
can support 4-8S ,suchastheneedtotestless than 4SofNickelBatteries,you need toaccess2-8S
LithiumBatteryto the Lithiumport forCellMeter8 to provide working power
2. ConnectingABatteryPack
Cellmeter8 there are two batteryconnection ports:
The connecting port ofthe LithiumBatteryis9pin,2.54mm,Can be directlyinserted intothe
2.54mm ofthe lithiumbatterypack balance line plug, Connectthe batterypack to the plug,, the
negativeelectrode ofthe balanced line plugisalignedwiththe cellmeter8Lithiumport
(negative Location close to the NicD/NiMHport)
NickelBatteryconnection port specification for3pin,2.54mmspacing. Can be directlyinserted
intothe spacing ofthe mainline of2.54 mmnickelbatteries,The mainline ofthe nickelbattery
pack isconnecting the plug ,Theposition electrodeshouldbealignedwiththe3pin
interface

3. PARAMETERSSETTING
Cellmeter8connecttheLithiumbatteryorNickelbatteryintheworkingstate,
Press(press tobutton 1Sabove) Menu Setup button, Enter parameter settingmode,
shortpress Menu setup button is to enter thenextparametersettings, Longpress is out
oftheparameter settingmode,Returntobatterydetection mode,Parameter setting
mode,Shortpress CELLkeytoreducetheparameters, Shortpress MODEkeyto
increasetheparameter,Dischargeend voltageparametersettingstate,Longpress
CELLbutton to quicklyreduce,LongPress MODE button fortherapid increase

4. LITHIUMBATTERY DETECTIONMODE
1.Weneedtodetectthelithiumbatterybalancelineplugcorrectlyinsertedintothe
CellMeter8ofthe9pin Lithiumport,CM8 startingworkafter abtainingpower froma
lithiumbattery,LCDscreenwill displaythenumber oflithiumbatteries, Batterytotal
voltage,BatteryType,and BatteryremainingCapacityasapercentageofthe
remainingcapacityofthestrippattern, Becauseeachtypeofoflithiumbatteryhas
differentratedvoltageand itsrelativepower consumption, Therefore,thecorrect
choice ofthetypeoflithiumbattery,TheCM8 screendisplaysthepercentageof
remaining batterypowerand strippatternthatrepresentstherestofthebatterytobe
accurate,
2.Shortpress TYPEkeyinthedetection modeoflithiumbattery,Underthecondition
ofintelligentjudgment,Canbeswitchedbetweenthree typesof
batteries(LiPO,Li-Ion,Li-Fe,Li-HV)
3.CM8 hasasmartbatterytype:thebatteryvoltageinanyofthelithiumbatterypack
wasdetectedhigherthan3.6V,will notswitchtoLiFeType.TheBatteryvoltagein
anyofthelithiumbatterypackwasdetectedhigher than4.1V,will notswitchtoLiIon
Type.
4.Shortpress CELLkeyinthedetection modeofLithiumBattery,LCDscreen
displaywill switchfromthetotalvoltageofthebatterytothevoltagedisplaymode,

thethelowestvoltagevalueand whichonecellislowestshownatthetop ofthe
screen, Thirdpress MODEbutton, thedevice will showthedifference between
highestvoltagevalueandlowestvoltagevalue,and also showthewhichtwocell for
highestvoltagevalueandlowestvoltagevalueattop ofthescreen.
5. NICKELBATTERY DETECTIONMODE
Will needtodetectthenickelbatteryNICDandNIMH,positiveand negativepole
plugcorrectlyinsertedintocellmeter8, NiCD,NIMH3pinport,Whenthere isno
lithiumbatteryconnectedtotheLithiumportofcellmeter8, it canstartworkafter
obtainingpower fromnickelbattery,LCDscreenwill displaythecell ofnickelbattery,
totalvoltage,batterytypeand batteryremainingcapacityasapercentageofthe
remainingcapacityofthestrip pattern

shortPress Typebutton to switch to theNickelBatterydetection Mode)
