This guide covers only the most common situations. All detail
information is described in the user manual.

Take the companion CD, KVM Cables and the KVM Switch out of
the box and follow the steps below for installation.
1. Insert the companion CD into CD-ROM drive, the Autorun screen
will pop up automatically. (Please locate Autorun.exe in the CD and
double-click it to start if the Autorun screen did not pop up).
2. For Windows/Mac: Select “USB KVM” and then click on “Utility for
Windows” or “Utility for Mac” to begin software installation. (If the
Mac version software does not start, user should then copy the files
to the local Hard disk on Mac). Follow the on screen instructions to
completion. When installation is complete, a LevelOne icon will be

on the system tray of user’s desktop. For operation details of the
KVM Switch utility, please refer to the user manual for detail.
The Windows KVM Switch utility is recommended for use on
Windows XP or later. The Mac KVM Switch utility is recommended
for use on Mac OS 10.4 or later.

The KVM Switch Utility supports both the Windows and the Mac OS
operating systems. For other OS platforms such as Linux, user can
only use the keyboard hotkey – Scroll Lock + Scroll Lock - to
switch PC. However, this switching hotkey is not available on
non-PC platform such as Mac OS.

3. Connect the shared USB keyboard, USB mouse, D-Sub monitor,
speaker/headphone and microphone each to its port on the KVM
Switch.
(Models KVM-0222 and KVM-0422 not support audio switching)
4. Connect each KVM PC port to a computer, using the slim 3-in-1
KVM combo cable and the audio/MIC cable. Once the KVM Switch
and computers connected properly, user can now operate the KVM
Switch immediately.

There are three methods to control your KVM Switch for PC and
Audio/MIC channel selection: using the Face-Panel Push Buttons,
Hotkey Commands, or the KVM Switch Utility. Please refer to
user manual for detail operating procedures.

Nehmen Sie die Companion-CD, die KVM-Kabel und den
KVM-Switch aus dem Karton und installieren Sie die Teile anhand
folgender Schritte.
1. Legen Sie die Companion-CD in das CD-ROM-Laufwerk und der
Autorun-Bildschirm blendet sich automatisch ein. (Suchen Sie
Autorun.exe auf der CD und klicken Sie diese Datei doppelt an,
wenn der Autorun-Bildschirm nicht automatisch startet).
2. Für Windows/Mac: Wählen Sie “USB KVM” und klicken Sie dann
auf “Utility for Windows” oder “Utility for Mac”, um mit der
Softwareinstallation zu beginnen. (Wenn die Software der
Mac-Version nicht startet, kopieren Sie die Dateien auf die lokale
Festplatte des Mac). Stellen Sie den Vorgang anhand der

Anweisungen auf dem Bildschirm fertig. Nach erfolgreicher
Installation befindet sich ein LevelOne-Symbol in der Taskleiste auf
dem Desktop des Benutzers. Details zur Bedienung des Programms
für den KVM-Switch finden Sie in der Bedienungsanleitung.
Das Windows-Programm für den KVM-Switch ist zur Verwendung
unter Windows XP oder neuer geeignet. Das Mac-Programm für den
KVM-Switch ist zur Verwendung unter Mac OS 10.4 oder neuer
geeignet.

Das Programm für den KVM-Switch unterstützt Windows- und Mac
OS-Betriebssysteme. Unter anderen Betriebssysteme, z.B. Linux,
können Sie den PC nur mit dem Tastatur-Hotkey - Scroll Lock +
Scroll Lock - schalten. Dieser Hotkey zum Schalten ist auf
Nicht-PC-Plattformen, z.B. Mac OS, nicht verfügbar.

3. Verbinden Sie die USB-Taststur, die USB-Maus, den
D-Sub-Monitor, die Lautsprecher/Kopfhörer und das Mikrofon mit
dem entsprechenden Anschluss am KVM-Switch.
(Die Modelle KVM-0222 und KVM-0422 unterstützten kein
Audio)
4. Verbinden Sie jeden KVM PC-Anschluss über das flache 3-in-1
KVM-Kombokabel und das Audio/MIC-Kabel mit einem Computer.
Sobald der KVM-Schalter und die Computer richtig miteinander
verbunden sind, können Sie den KVM-Switch sofort in Betrieb
nehmen.

Es gibt drei Methoden zur Kontrolle Ihres KVM-Switches für PC und
Audio/MIC-Kanalwahl: mit den Drucktasten auf dem Bedienfeld,
den Hotkey-Befehlen oder mit dem KVM-Switch-Programm. Die
detaillierten Vorgänge sind in der Bedienungsanleitung beschrieben.
