Adding SpeedTalkSM Contacts
No dialing. No phone tag. Simplify your busy life with
SpeedTalkSM walkie-talkie service. Save your voice minutes for
traditional wireless calls with unlimited walkie-talkie service.
1. From the SpeedTalk (4) menu, select New ST Contact (2)
and press OK.
2. Enter the 10 digit contact number and press OK.
3. Enter the contact name and press OK. (You can add up
to 250 individual contacts.)

Note: You can easily update your list of SpeedTalk contacts through
your computer too. Just go to www.uscellular.com/speedtalk.

Adding SpeedTalkSM Groups
Once you program your individual SpeedTalkSM contacts,
you can create up to 50 groups with up to 25 contacts
in each one. So you can talk to all of your team at once.
1. From the SpeedTalk (4) menu, select
New ST Group (3), and press OK twice.
2. Enter a group name and press OK.
3. Press the Left Soft Key to save.
4. Highlight your new group and press OK.
5. Press the Right Soft Key for Options.
6. Select Add buddy (2) and press OK to select
contacts to add to the group.
7. Scroll down to the contact you would like to add and
press OK.
8. Repeat these steps until you’ve added all of the
contacts you’d like.
Note: You will ONLY be able to select contacts to add to your groups
who have been entered into your individual contact list for SpeedTalk.

Making SpeedTalkSM Barge Calls
A SpeedTalk barge call is connected without an incoming
call alert. The voice of the caller is immediately heard on
the recipient’s phone.
1. From standby mode, press and hold the ST Key.
2. Highlight a name from the contacts list.
3. Press and hold the ST Key and begin speaking after you
hear the ST talk tone.
4. Release the ST Key when you’re done speaking.

Making SpeedTalkSM Alert Calls
Not sure if the person you want to call is free to talk?
Then use the alert call capability to give them an audible
notication of your incoming SpeedTalkSM call. The
receiving party has the option to answer or ignore the call.
1. From standby mode, press and hold the ST Key.
2. Highlight a contact and press the Left Soft Key for Alert.
3. Press the ST Key. The receiver will hear the alert tone and
receive an alert message.
4. If the receiver answers, press and hold the ST Key and
begin speaking after you hear the ST talk tone.
5. Release the ST Key when you’re done speaking.
Note: Alert calls can only be sent to individuals, not groups.

Making SpeedTalkSM Group Calls
Using the SpeedTalkSM group call feature, you can make a
multiparty call with all the contacts of a SpeedTalk group,
so everyone can weigh in at one time.
1. From standby mode, press and hold the ST Key.
2. Use the Navigation Key to highlight a group from the
contacts list.
3. Press and hold the ST Key and begin speaking after you
hear the ST talk tone.
4. Release the ST Key when you’re done speaking.
