(1) During installation
Please be advised to avoid following severe conditions or equip with appropriate protection device in order to prevent
malfunctions.
Exposed to high electromagnetic field.
Located near circuit breaker, inverter, motor controller or frequently turned on/off power sources.
High temperature area, direct sunlight, chemical contaminated area, excessive vibration or excessive humidity.
(2) During cabling
Earthing point shall be located near this device as close as possible.
Please be advised to segregate power cable and control cable.
Otherwise, surge protection device shall be used at appropriate location.
Prior to cabling, be sure to check the designed aux power and connection diagram.

Features
Safety warnings must be read and understood before the instrument is used.
KDX-300 can measure/display electric data of the system and transmit data via RS-485 communication.
This can measure voltage, current, power, energy, power factor, frequency, phase angle, harmonics.
● Remote monitoring can be supported by RS-485 communication.
● Easily recognized display with various electric data as per pages
● Harmonics and phase angle can be displayed.
● Compact size with DIN 96 x 96

4.1 Setting

● Setting procedure
1) connection method
Choose connection method from 3P3W, 3P4W, 1P2W, 1P3W
2) PT ratio
Input ratio for primary and secondary
Primary value can be set by the sequence as below.
Decimal point and unit > 1000 digit > 10 digit > 1 digit
Decimal point and unit can be chosen among (0.0V / 0V / 0,0kV/ 0kV)
Secondary value can be 190V(3P4W) or 110V(3P3W) (Refer to Page 11 for set up mode)
3) CT Ratio
Default value is 5/5A and setting range will be 5 ~ 6000A (56 kinds)
4) Communication ID & speed
Setting ID and speed(9600/14400/19200bps) for RS-485 communication.
5) Max value / Energy / All Setting reset
Reset max value or energy.
All setting reset includes max value and energy.
6) Back light
Can choose 3 options (Automatically off after 60 seconds on / ON / OFF)
7) Firmware information
This page can not be modified manually.
8)Frequency
Choose frequency according to the condition (50Hz/60Hz)

5.3 Setting mode
In order to set and check the KDX-3 Series’s operating condition, hold the third key(●) for 2 seconds and switch to
setting mode. In settings mode, use the ◀, ▶ keys to check information and press the ●key to set and complete.
You can easily check your current location using page number.
① Using ● key, setting to be ready.
② Using ▲,▼ key, choose connection method.
③ Using ● key, setting value to be saved.
※ Setting range : 3P3, 3P4 ※ Default value : 3P4
① In setting mode, move to PT voltage setting page.
② Using ● key, setting to be ready.
Example) In case 3300/110V PT applied, primary
value can be 3300V/3.300kV/3.30kV
③ Using ▲,▼ key, choose the decimal point.
Or using ◀,▶ key, move to the digit to be changed
Chosen digit can be changed by using ▲,▼ key.
④ Using ● key, setting value to be saved.

it can be displayed to 15th order only .
