24Vwiringinthehouseandwirelesslywiththe2GIGControlPanel.Itfeaturesa
buttonthatisfullywaterresistantandremainsilluminatedwhenthe24Vhouse
doorbellwiringisused.

Testing
Beforemountingthesensor,ensurethatthesensormountinglocationprovidesgoodRFcommunicationtothe
panel.Toverify,dothefollowing:

2Pressandreleasethedoorbellbuttonandlistenforchimeorkeypadbeepstodeterminetheappropriateresponse(refertothe2GIG
Control Panel Install Guide).
3ExittheInstallerToo l b ox.
4(OptionalafterInstallingandMounting)Verifythatthehousehold24VACconnectionisworkingbypressingthedoorbellbuttontoring
thedoorbell.
Installing and Mounting
Ifpossible,locatesensorswithin100ft(30m)ofthepanel.Whileatransmittermayhavearangeof350ft(106m)ormoreoutintheopen,the
environmentattheinstallationsitecanhaveasignificanteffectontransmitterrange.Althoughthedoorbellhasbeendesignedtowithstand
weather,avoidmountingitinareaswhereitwillbeexposedtoextrememoisture.
1Toremovethesensorcover,useyourfingertopressthetab.Thisdisengagestheclipholdingthecovertothebase.
2(Optional)Pulltheexistinghouse24ACwiringthroughtheholeifconnectingthedoorbelltoexisting24Vdoorbellwiring.
3Mountthe2GIGDBELL1345usingtheorientationshown.UsethesuppliedPhillipswoodscrewstoattachthebasetothemounting
surface.Ensurethattheorientationarrowsarepointedup(asshown).
4PlacethesuppliedOringaroundtheperimeterofthebase.
5Ifavailable,attachtheexisting24VAChouseholddoorbellwiringtotheboardusingthemachinescrewsprovided.Ifthisstepisskipped,
thedoorbellwillworkonlywiththe2GIGControlPanelandtheLEDwillnotilluminate.
6Pullthebatterytaboutanddiscardtabproperly.
7Replacethesensorcover.Ensurethatthedrainholeisfacingdown.Ifthecoverdoesnotsnapinplace,itmaybeupsidedown.

Inserting and Replacing Batteries
Ifasupervisedsensorbatteryislow,alowbatterynotificationwillbeindicatedonthecontrolpanelscreen.Whenthe2GIG
systemindicatesthatthesensorhasalowbattery,replacethebatteryimmediately.Useonlytherecommended
replacementbatteries(SeeSpecifications).
1Toremovethesensorcover,useyourfingertopressthetab.Thisdisengagestheclipholdingthecovertothebase.
2Placeasmallflatheadscrewdriverintheslotbetweenthemetalclipandbatteryandpushitouttakingcarenotto
scratchthebatteryterminal.
3Insertthereplacementbatterywiththe+signfacingout.
4VerifyprogrammingandRFcommunicationwiththecontrolpanel.
5Replacethesensorcovertothebase.
WARNING: Thepolarityofthebatterymustbeobserved,asshown.Improperhandlingoflithiumbatteriesmay
resultinheatgeneration,explosionorfire,resultinginpersonalinjuries.Replaceonlywiththesameor
equivalenttypeofbatteryasrecommendedbythemanufacturer(seeSpecifications).Batteriesmustnotbe
recharged,disassembledordisposedofinfire.Disposalofusedbatteriesmustbemadeinaccordancewiththe
wasterecoveryandrecyclingregulationsinyourarea.KeepAwayFromSmallChildren.Ifbatteriesareswallowed,
promptlyseekmedicalattention.
