Quick Reference Guide
Redemption/Sale
When a customer presents the Gift Card
for payment, this transaction will reduce
the value on the card.
>Press [ENTER/PAYMT] key until terminal
displays: GIFT CARD SWIPE CARD
>Swipe card or manually enter card #
and press [ENTER]
>Press [2] or scroll to SALE and press
[ENTER]
>Input $ amount and press [ENTER]
>Input invoice # and press [ENTER], if
prompted
>Input clerk/server ID and press [ENTER],
if prompted
Terminal dials out for authorization. The
$ amount specified will be deducted from
the available card balance.
>Press any key to print customer receipt
Card Activation
Use to issue a new card, cards will not
work until this transaction is performed.
>Press [ENTER/PAYMT] key until terminal
displays: GIFT CARD SWIPE CARD
>Swipe card or manually enter card #
and press [ENTER]
>Press [1] or scroll to ACTIVATION and
press [ENTER]
>Select the payment type that was used to
purchase the Gift Card:
1. CASH 3. DEBIT
2. CREDIT 4. CHECK
>Enter $ amount to load onto Gift Card
and press [ENTER]
>Input invoice # and press [ENTER], if
prompted
>Input clerk/server ID and press [ENTER],
if prompted
Terminal dials out for authorization and
prints receipt. The $ amount specified will
be added to the available card balance.
>Press any key to print customer receipt

Balance Inquiry
Determine the outstanding balance on a
Gift Card
>Press [ENTER/PAYMT] key until terminal
displays: GIFT CARD SWIPE CARD
>Swipe card or manually enter credit
card # and press [ENTER]
>Press [3] or scroll to BAL. INQUIRY and
press [ENTER]
>Input invoice # and press [ENTER], if
prompted
>Input clerk/server ID and press [ENTER],
if prompted
Terminal dials out for authorization and the
terminal will print the card balance on the
receipt.
Credit/Adjustment
When a return is made or to issue store
credit and add value onto an ACTIVE
Gift Card
>Press [ENTER/PAYMT] key until terminal
displays: GIFT CARD SWIPE CARD
>Swipe card or manually enter credit
card # and press [ENTER]
>Press [4] or scroll to CREDIT and press
[ENTER]
>Input amount and press [ENTER]
>Input invoice # and press [ENTER], if
prompted
>Input clerk/server ID and press [ENTER],
if prompted
Terminal dials out for authorization. The $
amount specified will be added to the
available card balance.
>Press any key to print customer receipt

Reload/Increment
Customer presents you with payment to
add value onto an ACTIVE Gift Card.
>Press [ENTER/PAYMT] key until terminal
displays: GIFT CARD SWIPE CARD
>Swipe card or manually enter card #
and press [ENTER]
>Press [5] or scroll to RELOAD and press
[ENTER]
>Select the payment type that was used to
reload the Gift Card:
1. CASH 3. DEBIT
2. CREDIT 4. CHECK
>Enter $ amount to load onto Gift Card
and press [ENTER]
>Input invoice # and press [ENTER], if
prompted
>Input clerk/server ID and press [ENTER],
if prompted
Terminal dials out for authorization and
prints receipt. The $ amount specified will
be added to the available card balance.
>Press any key to print customer receipt
Card Cancel/Refund
Reduces the balance of the card to $0,
can be used for administrative purposes
if a card is activated for the incorrect
amount or when cash must be given for
the remaining balance. Please consult
your internal policies and procedures.
>Press [ENTER/PAYMT] key until terminal
displays: GIFT CARD SWIPE CARD
>Swipe card or manually enter card #
and press [ENTER]
>Press [6] or scroll to CARD REFUND
and press [ENTER]
>Input invoice # and press [ENTER], if
prompted
>Input clerk/server ID and press [ENTER],
if prompted
Terminal dials out for authorization. The
receipt will show the amount to be
refunded and the current balance of $0.
>Press any key to print customer receipt

Terminal Reporting
Batch Totals Inquiry
Merchant can obtain reporting from the
terminal for Current Batch and/or Previous
Batch activity.
>Press the blue [FUNC/F] key
>Press [2] for the BATCH option
>Scroll to the NV_EGC Gn option and
press [ENTER]
>Select the Host Totals option
 •Press[1] for the current totals
 •Press[2] for a previous days totals
Terminal dials out and prints report showing
the EGC activity.

Reprint Receipt
>Press the [ALPHA] key
>Input the daily password and press
[ENTER]
Select one of the options below:
>Press [1] to print the last customer receipt
>Press [2] to print any receipt
 •ScrolltotheEGCoptionandpress
[ENTER]
>Input transaction # and press [ENTER]
>Select Merchant or Customer copy
option
Terminal prints a duplicate copy of the
receipt.

In the event your terminal loses power or malfunctions, you can still
Activate, Redeem and Reload Gift Cards by calling: 1-866-784-4839.

without a decimal, and press [#]
>The system will play back the amount
and prompt you to:
 •Press[1] if the amount is correct
 •Press[2] if the amount is incorrect
Please record the Authorization # and
Card #
>You will then be prompted to:
 •Press[1] to hang up
 •Press[2] to start another transaction
 •Press[3] to repeat the Authorization #
Redemption

 •Press[2] to start another transaction
