LiteHawk APEX Precautions - The LiteHawk APEX is not intended for children under the age of 10 unless closely
supervised by an adult. Improper use may cause serious injury. Please read Li-Po Battery section before use. Do
not use in areas close to high voltage lines or crowds. Do not run in rain, snow or if there is lightning and/or
thunder. Do not touch ANY moving parts while the model is powered.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE -
- Always remove batteries from the controller when it is not being used for a long period of time.
- Keep the toy away from direct heat or extreme cold.
- Do not expose the toy’s interior to water or moisture. This can damage the electronic assemblies.
Before charging the LiteHawk APEX please read the following!
- DO NOT leave the bike unattended during charging.
- DO NOT leave the bike plugged into the charger any longer than 2 hours. If the charging light does not go out in
this time, the charger or battery could be faulty - unplug immediately!
- DO NOT store bike for longer than 24 hours without recharging to at least 65% capacity.
- DO NOT charge if the battery or connector are wet.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
- Keep hands, hair and loose clothing away from moving parts when the model is powered ON.
- Turn off controller and APEX when not in use.
- Remove battery from controller when not in use.
- Parental guidance is recommended for use.
- Keep your APEX in your sight so that you can supervise it at all times.
- New AA alkaline batteries are recommended for use in the controller to obtain maximum performance.
- Your charger is tailor made for the Li-Po battery used in your LiteHawk APEX. Do not use it to charge any battery
other than that in the LiteHawk APEX.
BATTERY SAFETY INFORMATION
- Requires 4 x 1.5V AA batteries (not included)
- Batteries are small objects.
- Replacement of batteries must be done by adults.
- Follow the polarity (+/-) diagram.
- Promptly remove dead batteries from the toy.
- Dispose of used batteries properly.
- Keep batteries dry.
- Remove batteries for prolonged storage.
- DO NOT incinerate used batteries
- DO NOT dispose of batteries in fire, as batteries may
explode or leak.
- DO NOT mix old and new batteries or different types of
batteries (i.e. alkaline/standard)
- Always replace the whole set of batteries at one time.
- DO NOT short-circuit the supply terminals
Your LiteHawk APEX is equipped with a Li-Po
battery.
Special Li-Po Battery Instructions:
- Never charge battery unattended.
- Charge battery in isolated area. Keep away from
flammable materials.
- Do not expose to direct sunlight. There is a risk of the
batteries exploding, overheating or igniting.
- Do not disassemble, modify, heat or short circuit the
batteries. Do not place them in fires or leave them in hot
places.
- Only charge the batteries with the specified battery
charger.
- Only use the batteries in the device specified by
LiteHawk.
- In the unlikely event of leakage or explosion use sand
or a chemical fire extinguisher for the battery.
- Batteries must be recycled or disposed of properly.
- Keep battery dry.
- Do not leave plugged into model when not in use.
- Do not charge if battery or connector is wet.
WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD - Small parts. Not For Children under 3 years
CAUTION: Do not touch the running model! Adult supervision is required!
CAUTION: Never insert any sharp objects, pins or screws into the model as this may puncture the internal
battery!

Welcome to the World of LiteHawk!
We appreciate your recent purchase of the LiteHawk APEX . Get ready to experience all
the thrills and excitement of Grand Prix Motorcycle racing. Race indoors or take APEX
outside and blast across the black top. Your LiteHawk APEX has been designed with a
front fork and rear swing arm suspension system allowing for maximum grip on varying
surfaces. Punch the throttle and race up to speeds of 15 km/h or 10 mph! The
LiteHawk APEX (like all LiteHawk ground vehicles) features 2.4 Ghz Radio Technology,
letting you play without the fear of ever losing control. We know you’re excited to get
your new bike on the road but it’s very important that you take some time to read the
manual.
LiteHawk Motorcycle Terms 101
Transmitter: The hand-held radio unit that sends throttle and steering inputs to your
model. Also known as the radio or controller.
Counter Balance: A weight inside the motorcycle that spins once the power is turned on
and helps keep the bike upright.
ESC: The Electronic Speed Control provides digital proportional throttle control to the
model’s motor based upon your throttle input on the radio.
Fork: The Forks attach the front wheel to the bikes chassis. The bike’s front suspension
and steering are also linked to the forks.
LiteHawk APEX - Transmitter Set Up
- Always use fresh AA batteries in the Pistol Grip Radio Controller (Transmitter).
1/ Make sure the transmitter is turned off.
2/ Unscrew and Remove the battery cover from the back of the grip of the transmitter.
3/ Insert the 4 AA batteries as marked. If you turn on the transmitter the indicator light
should flash red (if not check battery installation).
4/ Reinstall and screw the battery cover back into place.
- ALWAYS REMOVE THE BATTERIES FROM THE TRANSMITTER WHEN YOU
WILL NOT BE USING YOUR MODEL FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME.
- Dispose and recycle correctly when there is no longer life in the batteries, they should
be disposed of at an approved battery recycling center. DO NOT THROW IN HOUSEHOLD
WASTE!
- Never expose the transmitter or batteries to moisture.
LiteHawk APEX - 2.4 Ghz
Your LiteHawk APEX comes with a 2.4 Ghz radio system, which allows you to play
without the fear of ever losing control! Race or play with countless other drivers. The
range of your model is approximately 150ft which, due to its small size, is in excess of
normal vision. The farther the model goes away from you the smaller it will become and
the harder it will be to determine the model’s direction. We suggest you stay at a
distance between 5ft-25ft, this keeps your APEX within a safe operational distance.
Do Not Fully Discharge the battery! Stop and recharge when your APEX begins to lose power! Failing to
do so will result in irreparable damage to the battery!

Charging and Battery:
Your LiteHawk APEX comes with a 3.7v LiPo battery which is encased inside the model.
The rechargeable Li-Po battery provides the power to propel your model at high speeds.
You should expect 5-8 min run time. However you do need to make sure to properly
maintain your Li-Po Battery. Always have your bike turned off when not in use.
- Li-Po batteries don’t like to be run down too low. If the voltage is dropped dramatically
they will be damaged and will not recharge! Once the model starts to slow, drive your
model to a safe place, walk over and turn it off.
- It is recommend to charge the battery after your run and to always store the battery
with a charge. Never discharge or dead short a Li-Po battery!
Plug the USB into your computer, TV, or USB charger. Plug the other end of the cable
into your APEX Charging port. The LED light on the USB will turn RED. Once your
motorcycle is charged the LED light will go out. Charge time can take up to 30 minutes.
Tip: If storing for more than 24 hours it is best to store with a fully charged battery.
Failure to do so can damage the battery pack and shorten its useful life.
- You Must FULLY charge the battery before using your new model.
- Keep the battery dry at all times.
LiteHawk APEX - Controller Functions
Power Button
Speed trim: Steering Trim – Run your
APEX on a smooth level surface.
To increase the speed trim, turn the dial
clockwise. To lower the speed trim, turn
the dial counter clockwise.
Brake: To initiate the brake you simply
push the trigger away from the grip just
past the neutral position. You will notice
the model will stop much quicker. There
is no reverse feature.
Steering: The steering wheel controls
the model’s direction. Turn the wheel left
to steer to the left. Turn the wheel to the
right and the model
will steer to the right.
Throttle: Forward
drive is initiated by
pulling the throttle
trigger towards the
grip or handle like a
trigger.

During charging:
- It is normal for the battery to get warm during the charging process. Do not charge
the battery on a surface that is flammable or can be damaged by heat.
- Do not leave the battery and charger unattended while charging.
- After charging, unplug charger from APEX.
- Do not store the APEX plugged into the charger.

Counter Balance (also known as gyro):
Your LiteHawk APEX features a Counter Balance that spins in the rear of the bike. This is
powered by a dedicated motor and helps keep the bike upright and stable, especially at
slow speeds. The motor that spins the weight inside the motorcycle starts to
spin once the power is turned on. Don't be alarmed when you hear this spin-
ning.
Now you’re ready!
LiteHawk APEX is ready to use - however you must follow these steps
carefully:
1. Switch ON the transmitter.
2. Switch ON the APEX. The Switch is located on the right side tail
section (behind the rider) of the bike beside the charging port
3. You will hear the Counter Balance (gyro) start to run.

Before you drive:
Before every use it’s recommended to check that the steering and drivetrain are
moving freely and nothing is binding. Next ensure that the model and the transmitter
are working correctly. Before you drive your model, range test the radio system to
ensure that it operates properly! Turn on the transmitter and then the model, check its
operating as it should. Walk away from the model giving steering input with the radio
until you reach the maximum distance you are planning to drive your model. If you lose
input control walk back towards the model. You now know the safe operating distance
for your immediate environment. Do not attempt to operate the model if there is any
problem with the radio system/external interference with your radio signal at your
location.
Quick Tip: always turn the transmitter on first and off last.
LiteHawk APEX - After Use Care
1. When you have finished using your LiteHawk APEX you should first turn OFF the
model. Then switch OFF the transmitter.
Let’s hit the road!
When heading out to drive your model, it’s important to always use common sense.
Driving in an abusive and or rough style will only result in damage, broken parts, or
poor performance. The ESC system is not waterproof. Avoid driving through puddles,
mud, or snow. If water gets into the electronics it could damage them. The Bike is
designed to be used on smooth, flat surfaces like asphalt, thin pile carpet, or tile floors.
- Avoid overloading your model. Never run it in areas where its movement will be
restricted, e.g.thick grass, weeds, mud etc. as this can over stress the motor and bind
the drivetrain.
- Ensure nothing prevents the smooth running of the moving parts.
- Do not run your model in confined spaces.
- Never run your model in a public space where it might upset or endanger people or
wildlife.
- Immediately discontinue use of your vehicle and transmitter if you see lightning or
hear thunder. Never use your vehicle in the rain.
- Do not dismantle or tamper with this R/C vehicle or its transmitter. The manufacturer
and distributor will accept no responsibility, expressed or implied, for accidents or
injuries caused as a result of dis-assembly, modification and/or usage against the
instructions for this product.
- The transmitter’s range will vary depending on your surroundings and battery
strength. Do not operate the model too far away or control could be lost (stay within
5-25ft).
- Ensure that all batteries are correctly installed and that the Li-Po battery is fully
charged and in good condition.
- Do not touch ANY moving parts during operation.
- Don’t run in public roads with traffic!

LiteHawk APEX - Storage
- Remove all batteries from the radio before storing your APEX.
- Never store your LiteHawk APEX near open flames, in high temperatures (including
radiators) or in direct sunlight. Ideally, place the model in a warm dry location.
- Fully charge battery before storage.
