SEATING IN PERIOD
As with most high performance equipment, the Liveryman Bruno clipper has a seating in period. The
speedofthemotormayuctuateduringtherst30days.Thisisanormaloccurrenceanddoesnotneed
repair or warrant cause for alarm. The clipper is fully functional during this time.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Switch off trimmer.
2. Connect the DC plug from mains adapter to the clipper.
3.Connecttheadaptertothewallsocket.
4. Switch on to operate.
5. Adjust speed by pushing switch lever forward one notch for low speed and fully forward for high speed.
AFTER USING
• Unplugtheappliancewhennotinuseandallowittocooldownbeforestoringinasafeplace.
• Todisconnecttheappliance,unplugmainsadapterfromwallsocket.
OPERATIONAL HINTS
• Useorstorethetrimmeronlyatroomtemperature.Avoiddirectsunlight,moistureorheatedsurfaces.

TROUBLESHOOTING
• Motor does not run - Checkconnectionwithmainsadapterandthatthewallsocketisswitchedon.
• Blades do not move - Checkdriveleveriscorrectlyalignedwithnotchincutterblade.Pushblade
towards clipper body to snap into place.
• Blades vibrate -Tryanothersetofblades.IfnewsetisOKthenthespringorsocketmayneed
adjustmentorlatchcouldbebroken.Sendtoserviceagent.
• Bladeslooseonclipper-Ifthebladesocketisoutofshapethentryanothersettocompare.Ifthere
isaloosehingeorbrokenlatchthentightenthehingescrewsorsendtheclipperawayforservice.
• Blades pull hair -Bladesmaybeblunt.Sendforre-sharpening.Checkbladescrewsaretightand
tension spring strip has plastic blade runner attached.

• Do not pull, twist or wrap the cord around clipper.
• Do not operate the appliance with damaged cord or mains adapter, or if damaged, dropped, hit or
exposed to any liquid, snow or water.
• Do not use any other mains adapter and never connect the clipper to the AC mains supply without the
DC mains adapter connected.
• Avoidcontactwithmovingorhotclipperblades.Neverusetheclipperwithbladesthathavebroken
teeth.
• Unplug the appliance when not in use and allow cooling down before storing in a dry and safe place. To
disconnecttheappliance,switchoffandunplugfromthewallsocket.
• Never use any appliance or component of an appliance in any manner except for which it was
designed,donotmakealterationstoanyapplianceorcomponentwhichmayleadtopersonalor
environmental harm. Never use a defective appliance or component.
• Keep the appliance and electric cord away from sources of heat and from heat sensitive surfaces
(plastics, vinyl etc.)
• Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
Should the following situations occur, unplug and switch off immediately, and send for examination
or repair:
1. The blade, clipper, mains adapter or power cord is damaged
2. The clipper or the adapter is dropped into water.
The clipper and accessories must be checked regularly for damage.
If damage is detected, do not put the device into operation.

REPLACE DRIVE LEVER
1. Remove blade.
2 & 3. Pull off front cover.
4 & 5. Loosen screw and remove it with drive lever.
6. Line up drive screw and threaded insert and
screw lever into place.
7 & 8. Line up cover tab with notch in
housing and close front cover.

REMOVAL AND REATTACHMENT OF BLADE
REMOVAL REATTACHMENT
TO REPLACE THE BLADE
1. Clipper tongue must be pointing upwards
2.Insertclippertongueintothebladesocket
3. Align the square cut out in the top cutter blade with the drive lever and push together
LUBRICATING THE BLADE
Lubricate both friction surfaces of
the front cutting teeth and the hind
supporting areas.
1. Wipe the blades clean with a clean
cloth or use blade wash.
2. Use the cleaning brush to remove
any hair left between the clipper
blade and clipper.
3. Hind supporting areas: Push
the top cutter blade to one side;
lubricate the visible friction surface
on the other side. Drop a small
amount of oil on both sides.
4. Front cutting teeth: Drop a small amount of oil on the blade teeth and spread evenly. Slightly move the
top cutter blade to permeate the oil between the blades.
5. Do not use hair oil, wax or oil mixed with any other product.

BLADE MAINTENANCE
Blade sharpening is a specialised operation, return the blades to a qualified blade sharpening and
repair company.
1. The blade must be lubricated before and after each use. This will maintain it in good condition and will
extend its service life.
2. Non-stop usage for hours may cause overheating of blades, reducing the cutting performance and
shortening their life. Should the blades overheat, switch the unit off for a few minutes to let it cool down
and lubricate the blades.
3. Hair must be clean and dry before cutting. Foreign matter hidden in the hair may damage the blade
edge.
4. Hair may gather in the inside of the blade housing during use. Too much stored hair will reduce the
oscillating ability of the blades and cause malfunctioning. Always clean up hair in the blade housing
before and after each use.
5. Avoid impact of the blade with hard objects as this may cause damage to the blade teeth.
BLADE LIFE
The service life of the blade may be shortened in the following situations:
1. The blade has not been lubricated properly over a long period
2. The blade cuts objects other than hair or unclean hair
3. A foreign object damages the blade edge
4. The blade is subjected to an impact
Ifthecuttingefciencyisreducedsubstantiallydespitepropermaintenance,thebladehasexceededits
service life and should be re-sharpened or replaced.
MOTOR LIFE
The service life of the motor may be shortened in the following situations:
1. The clipper is stored in humid surroundings for long periods
2. The blade has not been lubricated properly
3. Stored hair in the blade housing has not been cleaned properly
4. An incorrect power source is used

CLEANING THE MAIN BODY AND ACCESSORIES
1. Switch off and unplug the trimmer before cleaning
2. Wipe with a soft damp cloth
3. Allow it to air-dry before use

authority waste disposal site.
WARRANTY TERMS
This clipper is guaranteed for 12 months from date of purchase. It does not apply to normal wear and tear,
damage, misuse or careless handling.
In case of a fault, return the clipper to the place of purchase.
If returning to Liveryman/ Agrihealth, please provide proof of purchase.
