DEEL 1: WAARSCHUWINGEN & ELEKTRISCHE GEGEVENS
1.1 Belangrijke veiligheidsinstructies

WAARSCHUWING!
Onjuiste installatie, aanpassing, wijziging, service of onderhoud kan letsel of materiële schade
veroorzaken. Raadpleeg voor informatie de handleiding die bij deze kachel zit. Voor hulp of
meer informatie neem contact op met een erkende installateur, een servicecenter of uw dealer.
WAARSCHUWING!
Bij gebruik van elektrische kachels moeten de voorzorgsmaatregelen altijd zorgvuldig
opgevolgd worden om het risico op brand, elektrische schok en persoonlijk letsel te beperken.
•Gebruik deze kachel nooit in de onmiddellijke nabijheid van een bad, een douche of een
zwembad.
•Schakel de elektrische haard pas in totdat het goed is geïnstalleerd, zoals beschreven in de
handleiding.
•Laat de elektrische haard nooit branden terwijl u weg bent.
•Laat de elektrische haard nooit aangesloten op het stroomnet terwijl u weg bent.
•De elektrische haard is bedoeld voor huishoudelijk gebruik en mag niet worden gebruikt voor
industriële doeleinden.
•Gebruik de elektrische haard niet met natte handen.
•Gebruik de elektrische haard niet buiten.
•Gebruik de elektrische haard niet op of in de buurt van hete oppervlakten.
•De elektrische haard mag pas schoon gemaakt worden, als de elektrische haard is ontkoppeld
van het netstroom/stopcontact en als de elektrische haard volledig is afgekoeld.
•Maak de elektrische haard nooit schoon met agressieve schoonmaakmiddelen.
•Gebruik nooit accessoires die niet zijn aanbevolen door de Livin’flame. Het kan gevaar opleveren
voor de gebruiker of schade aan de elektrische haard.
•Deze kachel moet worden geaard. Neem bij twijfel contact op met een hiervoor bevoegd
persoon.
•Om onbedoeld resetten van de thermische beveiliging te vermijden, dient dit toestel niet te
worden verbonden aan een externe schakelinrichting, zoals een timer of verbonden circuit dat
regelmatig aan en uit wordt geschakeld. Het toestel moet ten alle tijden direct aangesloten
worden op een wandcontactdoos.
•Deze kachel mag niet direct onder een stopcontact worden gemonteerd.
•Dit apparaat mag worden gebruikt door kinderen vanaf 8 jaar en ouder en personen met
verminderde lichamelijke, zintuiglijke of geestelijke vermogens of gebrek aan ervaring en kennis
mits onder begeleiding of als ze goed worden geïnstrueerd over het gebruik van het apparaat op
een veilige manier en ze begrijpen wat de gevaren zijn.
•Kinderen mogen niet met het apparaat spelen.
•Reiniging en onderhoud door kinderen boven de 8 jaar alleen onder toezicht.

•Kinderen onder 3 jaar moeten worden weggehouden van de kachel tenzij onder continue
begeleiding van een ouder.
•Kinderen tussen 3 jaar en 8 jaar mogen alleen het apparaat aan/uit zetten, mits deze
geïnstalleerd is zoals aangegeven in de handleiding en ze onder toezicht staan of worden
geïnstrueerd over het gebruik van het apparaat op een veilige manier en begrijpen wat de
mogelijke gevaren zijn. Kinderen tussen 3 jaar en 8 jaar mogen het apparaat niet aansluiten,
regelen of reinigen, of hier onderhoud op uitvoeren.
•Sommige delen van dit apparaat kunnen zeer heet worden en brandwonden veroorzaken. Vooral
kinderen en kwetsbare mensen moeten hiertegen beschermd worden door een verantwoord
persoon.
•Bedek nooit de kachel, dit om oververhitting te voorkomen.
•Dit gemarkeerde figuur betekent: “WAARSCHUWING: NIET BEDEKKEN”.
•Gebruik de elektrische haard niet met een beschadigde stekker of snoer, na een storing, na een
val of wanneer de haard op enige wijze is beschadigd. Controleer regelmatig of het snoer en de
kachel geen beschadigingen hebben.
•Als de voedingskabel is beschadigd, moet deze door de fabrikant, een erkend servicecentrum of
een professioneel persoon worden gerepareerd.
•Om de kans op brand uit te sluiten, houd alle brandbare materialen (waaronder meubels,
gordijnen, textiel) op minimaal 1 meter afstand van het verwarmingselement.
•Zorg ervoor dat het netsnoer nooit over scherpe randen gaat, in aanraking komt met hete
oppervlakten of in de knoop komt.
•Laat het netsnoer niet draaien onder tapijten, karpetten etc.
•De stekker moet altijd bereikbaar blijven na installatie.
•Dompel het product nooit in water andere vloeistoffen.
•Sluit de elektrische haard niet aan op een tijdschakelaar of een stroomvoorziening die regelmatig
in- en uitschakelt door een programma.
•Koppel de haard niet los van de stroom wanneer deze in werking is. Gebruik de functies van de
afstandsbediening om de haard uit te schakelen en zorg ervoor dat de hoofdschakelaar in de OFF
(“o”) positie staat, voordat u de stekker uit het stopcontact haalt.
•Houd het elektra snoer weg van het verwarmingselement. Begeleid het elektra snoer nooit over
de voorzijde van de haard.
•Gebruik de haard niet in een ruimte waar explosieve stoffen bewaard worden (zoals petroleum).

2.1 Uitpakken van de haard
Waarschuwing! Gebruik het apparaat nooit als een van de onderdelen nat is geweest. Neem dan
eerst contact op met een gekwalificeerd onderhoudstechnicus voor controle en/of vervanging van
elektrische onderdelen indien nodig. Houd de plastic verpakking uit de buurt van kinderen.
•Open de verpakking zorgvuldig en verwijder het schuim.
•Verwijder de plastic zak.
•Bewaar de originele verpakking voor toekomstig transport en/of opslag.
•Controleer of alle accessoires aanwezig zijn voordat u de verpakking opbergt
•Neem de elektrische haard niet in gebruik als 1 of meer onderdelen nat zijn. Laat de onderdelen
direct door een erkende monteur inspecteren en eventueel onderdelen vervangen.
•Laat kleine kinderen niet in aanraking komen met de losse onderdelen tijden montage.
•Het apparaat moet worden aangesloten op een geaard stopcontact en moet gemakkelijk
toegankelijk zijn om te kunnen ontkoppelen.
•Voor het beste resultaat, installeer de elektrische haard niet in direct zonlicht.

2.3 Montage inzethaard
STAP 1. Bevestig de montage strips zoals op bovenstaande afbeelding, gebruik de 4 ST4×8 schroeven.

STAP 2. Plaats de inzethaard vanaf de achterzijde in de schouwombouw en schroef de haard vast met
4 de ST4x12 schroeven.
DEEL 3: BEDIENINGSVOORSCHRIFTEN
De elektrische haard kan worden bediend door de schakelaars in de rechterbovenhoek aan de
voorzijde van de elektrische haard of met de meegeleverde afstandsbediening. Zodra de
elektrische haard is aangesloten op een geaard stopcontact, kan de Aan/Uit schakelaar worden
ingeschakeld. Een pieptoon zal te horen zijn op het moment dat deze wordt ingeschakeld.
Belangrijk! Om zowel de handmatige bediening als de afstandsbediening te kunnen gebruiken
moet de aan/uit schakelaar op “aan” staan. Om oververhitting tegen te gaan, is er een vertraging
van 10 seconden wanneer de verwarming wordt in- en uitgeschakeld.
De LCD display van de elektrische haard ziet er als volgt uit:
3.1 Gebruiksaanwijzing handmatige bediening
Belangrijk! De handmatige functietoets heeft niet dezelfde uitgebreide mogelijkheden als de
afstandsbediening. Het doel is om de belangrijkste functies te kunnen bedienen in geval de
afstandsbediening verloren is. Gebruik de afstandsbediening om alle functies in- en uit te schakelen.

HANDMATIGE AAN/UIT SCHAKELAAR
Deze schakelaar zet de elektrische haard aan/uit. Deze knop moet naar de AAN (“|”) positie staan om
de functies van de haard, inclusief de afstandsbediening te kunnen bedienen. Nadat de knop naar de
AAN positie is gezet, zal een lange pieptoon te horen zijn.
POWER KNOP
Door het indrukken van deze knop worden de vlammen en de heater in of uitgeschakeld.
FLAME KNOP
Door het indrukken van deze knop kan er gekozen worden tussen drie vlameffecten, of kan deze
worden uitgezet.
HEATER KNOP
Door het indrukken van deze knop kan de heater worden ingeschakeld op 1000W of 2000W of
worden uitgeschakeld.
3.2 Gebruiksaanwijzing afstandsbediening
•Zorg ervoor dat de batterijen juist gemonteerd zijn in de afstandsbediening.
•Het effectieve bereik van de afstandsbediening is tot 4 meter.
Belangrijk! Dit is een afstandsbediening met thermostaat. De afstandsbediening dient ten alle
tijden in dezelfde ruimte te zijn als waar de haard zich bevindt en geplaatst te worden op een
vlakke ondergrond. Daarnaast moet deze uit de buurt van de kachel worden geplaatst, zodat de
hete lucht er niet op kan blazen en deze de thermostatische aflezing niet kan beïnvloeden.

Instellen dag en tijd
3.2.1 Om de dag en tijd in te stellen, druk op . De icoontjes MON tot SUN zullen gaan
knipperen. Druk vervolgens op om een dag te selecteren. Op het LCD display
zal daarna gaan knipperen. Gebruik de knoppen en om het uur
in te stellen. Druk daarna op om naar de minuten te springen en deze in te stellen
met en . Om de datum- en tijdinstellingen op te slaan en het
instellingenscherm te verlaten, druk op (of doe gedurende 30 seconden niets).
Opmerking: Door de “FLAME” knop gedurende 3 seconden ingedrukt te houden, wordt de pieptoon,
wanneer u de toetsen van de afstandsbediening gebruikt, uitgeschakeld. Er zullen twee korte pieptonen
klinken om aan te geven dat de instelling is voltooid.
Instellen Smart Verwarmingsmodus
3.2.2 Druk op om de Smart Verwarming-instellingen te openen. De temperatuur zal
gaan knipperen.
3.2.3 Met de knoppen en is de temperatuur in te stellen. Om de temperatuur
instelling te bevestigen, druk op of . Vervolgens zullen ‘MON’ tot ‘SUN’
gaan knipperen.
3.2.4 Druk op om de dag(en) te selecteren. Het is mogelijk om meerdere
dagen te selecteren. Wanneer de dag geselecteerd is, zal deze gaan knipperen. Druk
vervolgens op de knop of om de geselecteerde dag(en) te bevestigen.
Nu zal verwarmingsperiode 1 (P1) gaan knipperen. Er kunnen maximaal 3
warmteperiodes per dag worden ingesteld.
3.2.5 Het instellen van de verwarmingsperiode werkt als volgt:
•Wanneer P1 knippert, druk op of . Begin met het instellen van de
tijd waarop de verwarmingsfunctie AAN zal gaan. Druk op de knoppen
en om het uur in te stellen. Gebruik de knop om naar de
minuten te gaan, stel de minuten in met en .

•Druk op om verder te gaan naar het instellen van de tijd waarop de
verwarmingsfunctie UIT gaat. Deze tijd stelt u op dezelfde manier in zoals
hierboven is beschreven voor het instellen van de AAN tijd.
•Door op te drukken, worden de instellingen voor de
verwarmingsperiode AAN/UIT P1 opgeslagen.
•P2 en P3 kunnen op dezelfde manier worden ingesteld.
3.2.6 Druk op en om de verwarmingsperioden P1-P3 in te stellen voor op
andere dagen. Doe dit op dezelfde manier zoals hierboven is uitgelegd.
3.2.7 Als alle dagen zijn ingesteld, druk dan op of om de instellingen voor de
Smart Verwarmingsmodus te voltooien. Het icoon zal zichtbaar zijn in het LCD
display.
3.2.8 Druk op om de instellingente verlaten.

3.2.9 Druk op om de dag te selecterenwaarop u de automatische
verwarmingsperioden wilt controleren.
3.2.10 Druk op om de periode te selecteren en druk op om
de aan/uit-tijd te controleren.
3.2.11 Wanneer u alle perioden heeft gecontroleerd, druk op om het controlescherm
te verlaten.
Opmerking: om alle instellingen voor de Smart Verwarmingsmodus te verwijderen, houd de Power
AAN/UIT knop op het handmatige bedieningspaneel op de haard gedurende 5 seconden ingedrukt. Er
klinken 3 lange pieptonen om aan te geven dat de instellingen zijn verwijderd (behalve de
temperatuureenheid °C of °F).
Detectie van ramen open
3.2.12 Wanneer de afstandsbediening een snelle daling van de kamertemperatuur detecteert,
wordt dit beoordeeld als een open raam. Hetwaarschuwingspictogram zal
oplichten op het LCD scherm en deverwarmingsfunctie zal automatischworden
uitgeschakeld.
3.2.13 Wanneer de temperatuur binnenweer is gestegen of na een handmatige opheffing van
de waarschuwing (via afstandsbediening), keert de verwarmingsfunctie terug naar de
normale werking.

DEEL 4: ONDERHOUD
Waarschuwing: Voordat onderhoud aan en/of het schoonmaken van de buitenzijde van de elektrische
haard, moet de stekker uit het stopcontact worden gehaald. De elektrische haard even laten afkoelen,
wanneer deze direct daarvoor heeft aangestaan.
4.1 AFSTANDSBEDIENING
Volle batterij
Halfvolle batterij
Batterijen zijn leeg en dienen direct vervangen te worden
Na 1 jaar wordt het aangeraden om de batterijen te vervangen. In de afstandsbediening gaan 3V-
batterijen. Breng lege batterijen naar een inzamelpunt.
4.2 Reiniging van de elektrische haard
U kunt de buitenkant van de open haard met een zachte, vochtige, niet-pluizende doek. Gebruik
geen schoonmaakmiddelen of gepolijste producten. Voor het verwijderen van vingerafdrukken of
andere vlekken op de voorzijde van het glazen paneel, gebruik dan een zachte, vochtige, pluisvrije
doek met een goede kwaliteit huishoudelijke glasreiniger. De voorste ruit moet altijd volledig worden
gedroogd met een schone, niet-pluizende doek of papieren handdoek.
Let op: Gebruik geen schuurmiddelen op het glazen paneel. Spuit geen vloeistoffen direct op elk
oppervlak van het toestel.
Waarschuwing: een erkende monteur moet ander onderhoud uitvoeren.
4.3 Milieu
Gooi elektrische apparaten niet weg als ongesorteerd gemeentelijk afval, maar gebruik aparte
inzamelingsvoorzieningen. Raadpleeg uw lokale overheid voor informatie over de collectie-systemen die
beschikbaar zijn. Als elektrische apparaten worden weggegooid op stortplaatsen, kunnen gevaarlijke
stoffen in het grondwater lekken en in de voedselketen terechtkomen, waardoor uw gezondheid en
welzijn worden geschaad. Bij het vervangen van oude apparaten door nieuwe is de winkelier wettelijk
verplicht om uw oude apparaat ten minste kosteloos terug te nemen voor verwijdering.
Deze haard voldoet aan de veiligheidsnormen EN 60335-1 en EN 60335-2-30 die betrekking hebben
op de essentiële vereisten van de laagspanningsrichtlijn 2014/35/EU en de EMC-normen EN 55014-1;
EN 55014-2; EN 61000-3-2 en EN 61000-3-3, die de essentiële vereisten van de Europese
elektromagnetische compatibiliteit 2014/30/EU en de RED-normen EN300220-2, EN301489-1,
EN301489-3 en EN6247 dekt, die de essentiële eisen dekt vereisten van de Europese
Radioapparatuurrichtlijn 2014/53/EU.

•For indoor use only. This appliance is not suitable for use outside the house and only suitable for
well insulated spaces or occasional use.

2.2 Unpacking the Fireplace

SECTION 3: OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance can be operated by both remote control and manual buttons. Once the unit has been
properly connected to an earthed electrical outlet, turn on the main switch located in the right
corner on the front of the appliance. A beep should be heard when the power is first applied.
NOTE! To use both remote and manual functions the manual on/off switch must be in ‘ON’
position. In order to protect the product not becoming too hot, there is 10 seconds delay when
turning on the heater; also, there is 10 seconds delay when turning off the heater fan.
The LCD display on the electric fire place looks like the following:
3.1 Operating by Manual Button
NOTE! The manual button on the fire box unit will not provide you with all function control, and its
propose is to control some basic function when you lose the remote handset. Please use the remote
hand set to carry out all functions.
HEATER BUTTON
Press “HEATER” to turn on or turn off the heater function.
FLAME BUTTON
Press “FLAME” button to select the colour of flame (3 colours) or return to the OFF position.
NOTE: The controls on appliance will lose the memory for all function settings when the switch is
set to the Off Position. When the remote runs out of power or when you change the batteries, only
the flame function will lose memory and will not affect the timer settings, however, the clock may
need adjusting.

3.2 Operating by Remote Handset
•Make sure the batteries are installed properly in the remote control.
•The effective range of the remote control is up to 4 meters or 13 feet.
NOTE: This is a thermostatic remote control. The remote should be in the same room as fireplace and
placed on a flat surface. It must be placed away from the heater so the hot air will not blow on it and
affect thermostatic reading.

Set Day and Time
3.2.1 Press to set the day and time. The icons MONto SUN will start flickering. Press
to select a day. Then will start flickering. Use the buttons
and to set the hour. Press to jump to the minutes and use buttons
and to set the minutes. To save the date and time settings and leave the setting
screen, press (or leave the remote with no operation for 30 seconds).

Note: You can pressing “FLAME” button on the unit for 3 seconds to turn off the BEEP sound appearing
when you use the remote control, 2 short beeps will be heard to indicate the setting is done.
Set Smart Heating Mode
3.2.2 Press button to enter Smart Heating settings. The temperature will start flickering.
3.2.3 With buttons and you can set the temperature. To confirm the
temperature setting, press or . ‘MON’ to ‘SUN’ will flicker.
3.2.4 Press to select a day, it is possible to select multiple days. When a day
is selected, it will start flickering. Then press the button or to confirm the
selected day(s). Now heating period 1 (P1) will flicker. A maximum of 2 heating periods
can be set for one day.
3.2.5 Set the heating period:
•When P1 is flickering, press or . Start to set the time when the
heating function should turn ON. Press buttons and to select
the hour. Use the button to jump to the minutes and set the minutes
using the and button.
•Press to start set the time when the heater will turn OFF. You can set
the ‘OFF’ time the same way as described above for setting the ‘ON’ time.
•By pressing the button, the settings for the heating period ON/OFF P1.
•P2 and P3 can be set in the same way.
3.2.6 Press or to set the P1-P3 for other days. You can set the heating periods
in the same way as described above.
3.2.7 If all days have been set, press the buttons or to finish the settings for Smart
Heating Mode. The icon will show on the LCD display.
3.2.8 Press to leave the settings.
Checking settings for Smart Heating Mode
3.2.9 Press to select the day on which you would like to check the Smart Heating periods.
3.2.10 Press to select the period and press to check the
ON/OFF time.
3.2.11 When you have checked all periods and days, use the button to exit checking.
Note: To delete all settings for Smart Heating Mode: press the POWER ON/OFF button on the
manual control panel for 5seconds when the unit is turned off. 3 long beeps will be heard to indicate the
settings are deleted (except the temperature unit °C or °F).
Window open detecting
3.2.12 When the remote detects a rapid drop in room temperature, it will be judged as an
open window. The warming icon will light up on the LCD display and the heating
function will be turned off automatically.
3.2.13 After the room temperature rises or after manual intervention (by operating the
remote control), the heating function will return to normalworking state.

SECTION 4: MAINTENANCE
Warning: Before any maintenance and/or cleaning the exterior of the fireplace, disconnect the unit
from the power supply and leave until cooled off.
4.1 Remote Handset Battery Replacement

When the batteries are out of power and need replacing immediately
Battery replacement is recommended after 1 year. The batteries are 3V batteries. Dispose of old
batteries at an appropriate recycling facility.
4.2 Cleaning the Fireplace
You can clean the exterior of the fireplace with a soft, damp, lint-free cloth. Do not use cleaning or
polishing products. To remove fingerprints or other marks on the front glass panel, use a soft, damp,
lint-free cloth with a good quality household glass cleaner. The front glass panel should always be
completely dried with a clean, lint- free cloth or paper towel.
Caution: Do not use abrasive cleaners on the glass panel. Do not spray liquids directly onto any surface of
the unit.
Caution:Other maintenance must be performed by a competent electrician.
4.3 Environment
Meaning of crossed –out wheeled dustbin:
Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste, use separate collection facilities.
Contact your local government for information regarding the collection systems available. If electrical
appliances are disposed of in landfills or dumps, hazardous substances can leak into the groundwater and
get into the food chain, damaging your health and well-being. When replacing old appliances with new
ones, the retailer is legally obligated to take back your old appliance for disposals at least freeof charge.
