FIRST TIME USE
1. Remove all packaging materials, including those that may be inside the toasting
slots or toasting lever slots.
2. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Dry thoroughly. Do not use abrasive
cleaners.
4. Make sure the crumb tray is pushed all the way into the back of the toaster and
the toasting levers are in the UP position.
5. Unwrap the power cord from the cord storage area on the underside of the
toaster and plug into a 220- 240V AC outlet.
6. Turn the browning selector dial to the lightest setting.
7. Lower the toasting lever until they lock in place. Operate without bread once or
twice to burn off any manufacturing residue.
Note: During manufacture, oil or lubricant residue may contact the heating
elements, this can cause a slight amount of smoke or odour to be emitted during
first use. This is normal and will not occur after several cycles of use.

5
USING YOUR TOASTER
1. Insert a bread slice into the bread slot (1 piece of bread per slot, so 4 in
total). Only use regular sized bread slices, never attempt to force oversized
bread into the slots.
2. Make sure the crumb trays (2) are correctly positioned in place before using.
3. Plug the power cord into the outlet (Note, the carriage control lever will not
lock down unless the toaster is plugged into the socket outlet).
4. Set the ‘browning control knob’ to your desired setting (1 control for each
pair of bread slots ie left and right). Each browning control has 6
positions, the lowest “1”is for light (shortest toasting time) and the highest
“6”is for dark (longer toasting duration).
In general, the mid position (“3.5”) will result in a golden brown for most bread
types, but variations will exist depending on size / texture and type of bread
used.
5. Press the carriage handle down vertically until it is latches into position. The
light indicator for the Cancel Function will be illuminated, and the appliance will
begin toasting.
6. Once the bread has been toasted to the preset colour, the carriage handle
will automatically pop up. Also, you can uplift the carriage handle a little (from
its resting position) to remove the bread.
NOTE: During toasting, you may also observe the toasting colour. If it is
acceptable, you can press the Cancel button to cancel operation at any time,
but never try directly lifting the carriage control lever to cancel toasting.
Defrost button
This feature takes the guesswork out of toasting frozen bread. Set the
browning level to your preferred setting, put the frozen bread into the toasting
slot, lower the bread carriage handle, and then press the defrost button. The
indicator light next to the button will come on. The toasting time will be
adjusted automatically to give the same browning level you get with unfrozen
bread.
Reheat button
Use the lowest setting, and only reheat plain, unbuttered toast.

6
PRECAUTIONS DURING USE
1. Remove all protective wrappings prior to toasting.
2. If toaster starts to smoke excessively, Press Cancel button to stop toasting
immediately.
3. Avoid toasting any food with runny ingredients such as butter.
4. Never attempt to remove bread jammed in the slots without unplugging the
toaster from the electrical outlet first. Take care not to damage the
internal mechanism or heating elements when removing bread.
5. The bread slot is only suitable for toasting regular bread slices.
6. In order to achieve uniform colour, we recommend that you should wait
minimum 30 seconds between each toasting so that colour control can
reset automatically.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Before cleaning, unplug the appliance and let it cool down completely.
2. Wipe the outside with a soft dry cloth, never use metal polish.
3. Remove the crumb trays at the bottom of toaster and empty. If toaster is used
frequently, accumulated bread crumbs should be removed at least once a week.
Make sure the crumb trays are completely closed before using the toaster again.
4. The power cord may be wound under the bottom of toaster when not in use or
during storage.
Crumbs
Remove crumbs frequently, as they could cause a fire hazard. Unplug the toaster
and let it cool down fully. Remove and empty the crumb trays. Wipe them with a
damp cloth, dry it, then slide them back into the toaster. CAUTION Do not use the
toaster unless the crumb tray is in place and closed.
