OPERATION
Insert bread slices into the bread slots – 1 slice per slot maximum.
Note: Make sure the crumb tray is completely positioned in place before using.
Plug the power cord / supply plug into the electrical socket outlet and switch the socket on.
Set the toasting time to your desired setting. There is 7-position level, the lowest “1” is for white
(minimal browning) and the highest “7” is for dark (highest browning). The bread slices can
generally be toasted to a golden color when in the middle position however this will vary depending
on the type of bread used. We suggest adjusting for a low / medium setting first.
Note: 1). Toasting colour for one slice is darker than that for two slices of bread at the same level.
2). If toasted continuously, toasting colour for subsequent bread is darker than that for the
initial slices at the same level.
Press the carriage handle down vertically until it latches into place, the toaster will begin at once.
Once the bread has been toasted to the preset color, the carriage handle will automatically spring up.
Note: If the bread carriage lever is not latching this indicates that the toaster is not connected to
the socket outlet or the socket outlet is switched off.
You can lift the carriage handle to observe the toasting color any time, during the toasted process. If
the toasting is adequate, you can press the CANCEL button to cancel the operation at any time.
Note: Lifting the carriage handle will not interrupt the toasting process.
If the bread has been taken out from freezer, Set color selector knob to your desired setting, then
press the carriage handle down vertically until it is latched in place, then press the DEFROST button
(the indicator of the button will be illuminated), in this mode it will be toasted to your desired colour
as normal despite the bread being initially frozen.
If you want to reheat the cold toasted bread, press the REHEAT button (the indicator light will be
illuminated). In this mode toasting time is fixed, once complete, the carriage handle will
automatically spring up and end up the reheating process.

ϲ
The bread slot is only suitable for toasting regular bread slices. Irregular shapes cannot be toasted.
Most types of breads and pastries can be toasted; such as bagels, tea cakes, thick sliced breads,
English muffins, waffles, etc. Slices should not, however, be so thick as to cause burning or jamming
in the bread slots. If oversized do not attempt to toast.
In order to achieve uniform colour we recommend that you should wait a minimum of 30 seconds
between each toasting so that colour control can reset automatically.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning, unplug from the appliance and let the appliance cool down completely.
Wipe the external surfaces with a soft dry cloth, never use metal polish, flammable or abrasive
cleaners.
Empty the crumb tray frequently – this is removed by gently pulling on the crumb tray handle.
Crumbs will accumulate in the crumb tray and could catch fire if not emptied periodically. When the
toaster has cooled down completely, tap the sides of the toaster lightly to dislodge any crumbs
caught in the toaster chamber, remove the crumb tray and empty it. Wipe the tray clean with a
damp cloth or place it in the top rack of your dishwasher for cleaning. Tap sides again to ensure
proper disposal. Return crumb tray back into the toaster before using again.
When not used or in storage, the power cord may be wound under the bottom of toaster.
CAUTION
Remove all protective wrappings prior to toasting.
If toaster starts to smoke, Press the CANCEL button to stop toasting immediately.
Avoid toasting food with extremely runny ingredients such as butter.
Never attempt to remove bread jammed in the slots without unplugging the toaster from the
electrical outlet first, Be sure not to damage the internal mechanism or heating elements when
removing bread.
