General Instructions
PLEASE, TAKE TIME TO READ WELL THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
PARTICULARLY BEFORE THE FIRST USE.
A misuse of the a liance can damage it or hurt the user.
Assure that you use the a liance for the use for which it is
designed; we refuse any res onsibilities as for the damages by
an incorrect use or a bad mani ulation.
1. The safety instructions do not by themselves eliminate any
danger com letely and ro er accident revention
measures must always be used.
2. Place the a liance on a flat, dry and stable surface.
3. Cooking a liances should be ositioned in a stable
situation with the handles (if any) ositioned to avoid
s illage of the hot liquids.
4. Never use this a liance if it is not working ro erly, if it
has been dro ed, damaged or if it has been dro ed into
water. Take it to a service centre for ins ection and re air.
5. Never try to dismantle the a liance yourself.
6. There is a risk of injury if the a liance is misused.
7. Do not cover the a liance during use.
8. Do not move the a liance during use or when it is hot.

9. This a liance shall not be used by children from 0 year to
8 years. This a liance can be used by children aged from
8 years and above if they are continuously su ervised.This
a liance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and ersons with reduced hysical, sensory or
mental ca abilities, or lack of ex erience and knowledge if
they have been given su ervision or instruction concerning
use of the a liance in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved.
Children shall not lay with the a liance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children.
10. Kee the a liance and its cord out of reach of children less
than 8 years.
11. Avoid contact with hot surfaces or heat sources (hot lates,
near hot gas or on a hot oven etc.).
12. CAUTION: The tem erature of accessible surfaces may be

17. Before connecting your a liance, make sure that the
voltage in your home corres onds to the voltage indicated
on the a liance's name late.

external timer or se arate remote control system.
19. If the su ly cord is damaged, it must be re laced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified
ersons in order to avoid a hazard

21. Do not let the cord hang over the table or counter or touch
a hot surface.
22. The socket must always remain accessible when the
a liance is lugged in.
23. Only connect the a liance to a socket with a built-in earth
connection. If an extension cord is used, it must have a
built-in earth connection and must be able to withstand
the ower of the a liance.
Make sure that no one is tra ed inside.
24. Make sure the a liance has cooled down before cleaning
and storing it.

Before using for the first time
•Remove the ackaging that rotects the a liance. Do not leave them within the reach of children.
•Clean the fondue ot with soa y water and wi e it with a soft cloth.
•A slight smoke may be roduced during the first use. This is normal; make sure that the room is well
ventilated.
•Do not heat the ceramic bowl when em ty
USING YOUR APPLIANCE
•Place your device on a flat surface on the table center. Unwind the cord and lug it into a mains
socket. Make sure the thermostat is set to "0" or "MIN" before you start using the a liance.
•Carefully fill the an with the desired re aration (oil, broths, etc.) and make sure the level does not
exceed the MAX level indicated on the inside of the an.
•Turn the thermostat control knob to the maximum osition.
•Heat for a roximately 20-30 minutes to bring the oil to the correct tem erature.
•During cooking, adjust the tem erature setting according to the amount of ingredients being cooked.
It is normal for the indicator light to cycle on and off due to the thermostatic control.
•For the classic fondue bourguignonne, we recommend that you set the thermostat to the maximum
level. For cheese fondue, Chinese fondue and chocolate fondue, choose the medium thermostat
level.
•
At the end of use, turn the thermostat to the "0" or "MIN" osition, un lug it and let the a liance
cool down com letely before handling.
We recommend that you do not use the same oil too often. It degrades quickly. Do not ut water in the oil bath
(risk of oil s lashes and burns)
CLEANING AND STORAGE
Place your appliance on a flat surface on the table center. Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool
down completely before handling.
Never immerse your appliance in water and do not put it in the dishwasher.
Never use cleaning agents such as oven cleaner.
Clean the inside and outside of the an with hot water, washing-u liquid and a non-abrasive s onge.
Rinse the an well.
Wi e the heating base with a dam cloth if necessary and dry before storing.
Store in a cool, dry lace, away from the weather.
The fondue bowl of this a liance is made of ceramic. It is therefore fragile. Do not ut it under cold
water until it has cooled down com letely. Thermal shock could damage or break it.
