SPECIAL MEASURES
Warning: Hot surface

will accumula e in he crumb ray and could

USE
Before using he appliance he firs ime
1
. Remove all packaging ma erials and any ranspor safe y devices.
2. Check o make sure ha all accessories are presen .
3. Clean he oas er wi h a damp clo h, as described in he chap er “Cleaning and care”.
4. Check o make sure ha all par s are assembled correc ly and he appliance is s able. Make sure ha here
is sufficien space be ween he oas er and walls or o her appliances, since he oas er becomes ho during
opera ion.

5. Connec he appliance via he power cord o he power supply (220-240V 50-60Hz).
6. Before oas ing bread he firs ime, conduc one oas ing cycle wi hou bread. Press he oas lever down
un il i locks in o place.
7. When he oas ing cycle is comple ed, he oas lever au oma ically jumps up. Now you can s ar oas ing
bread.
Operation - Toasting
1. Prepare he oas er as described in he sec ion “Before using he appliance he firs ime”.
2. Place he bread slices in he slo s in he oas ing chamber.
3. Se he desired oas darkness wi h he darkness con rol. You can selec from seven oas darkness se ings:
level 1. is very ligh and level 7. is very dark. For golden brown oas se he lever in he middle posi ion.
4. Press he oas lever down un il i locks in o place. The indica or lamp for “S op” ligh s up and he oas er
s ar s oas ing.
5. You can in errup he oas ing cycle any ime by pressing he “S op” bu on.
6. When he bread has been oas ed o he se darkness, i is au oma ically ejec ed. The appliance shu s off
au oma ically.
7. For easier removal of he oas ed bread slices, he oas er fea ures a lif func ion. Press he oas lever
upward o remove he oas .
Reheat Function
Your oas er can re-hea oas if i has cooled oo quickly.
1. Replace he oas in he oas er.
2. Se he browning con rol o a low se ing.
3. Press he loading handle down.
4. Press he REHEAT bu on, he rehea indica or will ligh up ensure oas doesn’ burn.
5. The loading handle will rise au oma ically when oas is rehea ed.
Defrost Function
Your oas er can defros frozen bread before oas ing if required.
1. Place he bread in o he oas er.
2. Se he browning con rol o required se ing.
3. Press he loading handle down
4. Press he DEFROST bu on, he defros indica or will ligh up ensure oas does no burn.
Cancel Function
1. Press he STOP bu on if bread s ar s o smoke.
2. The STOP bu on can be pressed a any ime during oas ing.
Tips for ideal oas ing resul s
1. Differen ypes of bread have varying mois ure con en . Therefore, he same oas darkness se ing can
produce differen resul s.
2. For bread ha is sligh ly dry, use a lower oas darkness se ing.
3. For fresh bread or whole grain bread, use a higher oas darkness se ing.
4. Bread wi h an irregular surface requires a higher oas darkness se ing.

5. Thick bread slices need more ime for oas ing; i may even be necessary o oas he bread a second ime.
6. When oas ing raisin bread, remove all raisins from he surface, since o herwise hey could burn.
7. If you oas only one slice, please selec a low oas darkness se ing.
8. If you oas several slices one af er he o her, he bread will be somewha darker a he same oas darkness
se ing.
9. To oas frozen bread, waffles, e c. Please use he haw bu on.
CLEANING AND STORAGE
1. Allow he appliance o cool before cleaning i .
2. Before cleaning, always urn off he appliance and unplug i from he power supply.
3. Do no immerse he appliance and power cord in wa er or o her liquids or wash hem in he dishwasher.
4. Wipe off he oas er wi h a damp clo h and a li le dish washing de ergen . Do no use any abrasive scouring
agen s, s eel wool, me al objec s, ho cleaning agen s or disinfec an s, since hey can damage he appliance.
5. To remove s uck bread slices, unplug he oas er and urn i over and shake ligh ly. Never a emp o
remove s uck bread slices wi h sharp or poin ed ools or silverware.
6. Remove crumbs and any small pieces of bread from he crumb ray regularly. To do his, pull he crumb
ray on he side all he way ou and emp y i . Wipe he crumb ray wi h a damp clo h, hen dry i horoughly
and push i back in o he appliance.
7. The appliance mus be comple ely dry before you use i again.
