Locked Up RC TRX-4 User manual

These instructions are for the installation of our TRX-4 – Ascender Blazer body mount system. This will
allow you to mount an Ascender K5 Blazer body directly to your Traxxas TRX4 with minimal (if any)
modification to your TRX4. These instructions were created using a “Land Rover” TRX4 setup. You can
use the Bronco chassis & wheel wells but will need to sand for headlight buckets.
1. Remove font body mount posts.

2. Remove front body mount post support.
3. Install new front body mount post support.

4. Install original Body mount posts into new body mount post support.
5. Remove rear body mount posts.

6. Install new rear body mount posts.
7. Body clip pin studs should be offset to the rear.

8. Adjust body mount posts to suit your desired height, keeping body level.

Troubleshooting
Issue: The holes in the body are slightly too far apart for the body mounts.
Solution: Ensure you have the rear body mount post offset as pictured.
Issue: The holes in the rear body mount post are too small.
Solution: Because of the tolerances in Shapeways parts we designed the body mount post to err on the
side of being too tight. If your screw studs or body clips are too tight you can enlarge the holes.
Issue: The body mounts posts do not line up with the body at all.
Solution:Ensure you are using the rear body mount support shown in the instructions and that your
shock towers are in the same holes as used for the Land Rover body.
Issue: The body is where I want it but the TRX-4 sliders sit too low.
Solution: Space the TRX-4 sliders up using longer M3 hardware and spacers.
