To completely disconnect the unit from the mains power, the mains
adapter must be disconnected from the mains socket. Please ensure
that the mains socket is readily accessible.
• Long-term exposure to loud music may cause hearing damage. It if best to avoid
extreme volume when using earphones, especially for extended periods.
• The L/R audio will automatically combined to one single channel.
Power Source
Mains Power
1. This unit operates with a mains adapter (included).
2. Connecting the unit to any other power source may cause damage to the unit.
Unwind the mains adapter to its full length. Connect the mains adapter to the DC
socket on the side of the unit and then a mains socket. Make sure the mains plug
is fully inserted into the mains socket. The unit is now connected and ready to use.
3. To switch the unit off completely, withdraw the mains adapter from the mains
socket.
Connections
Connecting to the Earphones Socket
1. Connect earphones (3.5mm stereo plug) to the earphones socket.
2. Adjust the volume control to obtain the desired volume level.
3. When the earphones are connected, the speakers will automatically mute.

Basic Operation
Powering ON/OFF
• Press the STANDBY button to switch the unit on.
• Press the STANDBY button again to switch the unit back to standby mode.
• Disconnect the mains adapter from the mains socket if you want to switch the
unit off completely.
Selecting Modes
Press the DAB/FM button repeatedly to switch between modes (DAB or FM).
Adjusting the Volume
Adjust the volume to the desired level by pressing the VOL+/– buttons.
Mute Function
Press the SNOOZE/MUTE button to temporarily stop the speakers emitting sound.
The display will show “MUTE” and flash. To cancel mute and restore the sound, press
the SNOOZE/MUTE button again or the VOL +/– buttons, “MUTE” will disappear from
the display.
Setting the Time
The clock can only set and be updated if you can receive DAB signals in your location.
In order for the clock to synchronise to the current local time you must leave it
on one DAB station for a short period of time. If after 3 minutes the clock has not
automatically set itself try repositioning the radio to get a better reception.
If the radio cannot find a DAB frequency to set the clock. You can use the FM mode
(some FM stations also transmit time and date information).
1. Switch to FM mode by pressing the DAB/FM button.
2. Search for a station by pressing the SCAN button.
3. Press the DISPLAY button repeatedly to explore the time & date display.
4. If the FM station is transmitting time it will set itself automatically. Please be aware
that not all FM stations transmit the time. If the time does not set after 3 minutes
then press the SCAN button to find another station. Repeat until the time is set.

Setting the Alarm
This unit incorporates an alarm function. You can have dual alarm wake-up time and
wake-up mode settings to wake you with a beep tone, or your favourite radio station.
To set the alarm clock in STANDBY mode or ON mode:
1. Press the ALARM1 1or ALARM2 2buttons and hold for a few seconds. The
display will show “Alarm 1 Time Set” or “Alarm 2 Time Set” and the minute digits
will flash.
2. Press the buttons to adjust the minute digits, and then press the SELECT/
button to confirm.
3. The hour digits will flash. Press the buttons to adjust the hour digits, and
then press the SELECT/ button to confirm.
4. Press the buttons to select the volume level, and then press the SELECT/
button to confirm.
5. Press the buttons to select Beep Tone, DAB Preset or FM Preset mode,
and then press the SELECT/ button to select.
6. Press the buttons to select Beep Tone 1-2, DAB Preset 1-10 or FM Preset
1-10, and then press the SELECT/ button to confirm.
7. Press the ALARM1 1or ALARM2 2buttons repeatedly to select Alarm # OFF /
Beep Tones / DAB & FM Preset. The “ ” icon will show on the display, when alarm
1 or 2 is active.

Snooze Function
When the alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE/MUTE button to temporarily switch off
the alarm for approx. 9 minutes. The display will show “z” to indicate that snooze is on.
To switch off the alarm completely, press the ALARM1 1or ALARM2 2buttons or the
STANDBY button when the alarm sounds.
Sleep Function
This function allows you to program the unit to switch off by itself after a set period of
time.
1. To activate the sleep function, press the Sbutton repeatedly. The time will change
in the below sequence on every press:
90 60 30 10 OFF
2. Stop pressing the button when the display shows your desired length of time. The
sleep function will be activated in 3 seconds or press the SELECT/ button. The “ ”
icon will show on the display.
3. When the sleep time reaches zero, the unit will turn off. To turn the sleep function
off while the sleep timer is still counting down, press the Sbutton until “Sleep
Timer Off” and “ ” disappear from the display.
4. Press the DISPLAY button repeatedly to display the sleep timer status.
