OVERVIE
This kit provides a the necessary parts to insta a Logo Lites Turn Signa Kit on
your Mode A Ford. The two main parts of the kit are the contro er (Figure 1) and the four
turn signa assemb ies. The turn signa assemb ies are mounted on the bumper under the
bumper c amps, and the contro er is mounted on the gas tank to the eft of the steering
whee with a very strong magnet. The contro er is mounted such that the turn signa
switches are at the bottom as shown in Figure 1. Genera y, the wires are routed from the
contro er, behind the kick pane area, and out to the four corners of the car. The contro er
works on 6 or 12 vo t cars with positive or negative ground. The contro er “senses” the
po arity and vo tage, so there is no wiring to reverse or switches to f ip.
There are two switches on the front of the contro er. The eft switch contro s the eft turn signa s, and
the right one contro s the right turn signa s. When you press one of the switches, you a ternate the
corresponding signa s between on or off. For examp e, press and re ease the eft switch to turn the eft turn
signa s on, then press and re ease the switch again to turn them off. If you want hazard f ashers, simp y turn on
both eft and right turn signa s. To turn off the hazard ights, press and re ease both switches.

INSTALLATION
STEP 1: ATTACH TURN SIGNAL ASSEMBLIES
1. Disconnect battery.
2. There are four turn signa assemb ies. Crimp one MALE bu et connector to each turn signa assemb y wire.
3. Using 3/4” SAE wrench, remove bumper c amp nut from back of bumper c amp.
4. Remove bumper c amp backing p ate.
5. S ide 1 turn signa assemb y over the stud with ens assemb y towards edge of car.
6. Re-assemb e with turn signa assemb y between bumper c amp backing p ate and bumper bracket and
tighten firm y.
7. Repeat for other 3 turn signa assemb ies.
TIP: Tie wrap the wires to the bottom of the bumper brackets with black tie wraps to hide the black wire.
STEP 2: RUN IRES
1. Remove driver’s side kick pane .
TIP: In closed cars, remove dash panel for easiest access.
2. Run a separate wire from dash through kick pane area out to each turn signa assemb y. Leave enough extra
wire at the dash end to connect to the contro er when it is mounted on the gas tank.
TIP: Run the 4 black wires through steering column grommet.
TIP: Tie wrap rear wires to original rear going
harness.
TIP: Run rear wire across with right brake light
wire.
TIP: Put a small piece of tape around the dash
end of the left hand wires when you run them to
keep track of them for inserting into the 5 pin
connector.
3. At each corner of the car, crimp a FEMALE
bu et connector to the wire and p ug onto
MALE bu et connector of each turn signa
assemb y.
4. Crimp arge ring termina on the short b ack
wire (from parts bag) and crimp push on
connector on the other end of the wire. Illustration 1: Wiring Diagram

5. Remove eft most gas tank bo t with socket wrench.
6. Insert gas tank bo t through arge ring termina on short b ack wire.
7. Re-insta gas tank bo t to comp ete chassis connection.
8. The fuse ho der must now be insta ed in the 5’ red wire. Start by cutting about 6” of red
wire off of the 5’ piece.
9. Crimp sma , insu ated #10 ring termina to one end of the 6” fuse wire.
10. Crimp opposite end of the 6” wire to b ue fuse ho der.
TIP: If you are not familiar with this type of fuse holder, then hold it in your hand with the two metal pieces at the
top and facing you. The wires go into the fuse holder at the bottom, through
the holes from the left and from the right. Push one wire into the right side
until it hits the middle stop, you may have to twist the wire to get it to go into
the hole. Now take the piece on the top right (with the metal in it) and fold it
towards the wire until it contacts the wire. Now take a pair of pliers and press
it the rest of the way down until the latch catches. Repeat this for the wire on
the left side. The fuse holder is an insulation displacement type, which means
you do not have to cut the installation off of the wire before you crimp the fuse
holder to the wire.
11. Crimp remaining red wire to the opposite end of the fuse ho der.
12. With fuse ho der inside the cab, insert ring termina through speedometer
cab e ho e in firewa and into the termina b ock.
13. Connect ring termina to the termina b ock post that the ignition coi is
not connected too. Caution: Do NOT connect to ignition switch
terminals.
14. Run the 4’ 6” red wire from fuse ho der, routing it behind the kick pane area, and up to the dash.
15. Strip approximate y 1/4” to 5/16” of insu ation off of the end of the red wire and the 4 b ack wires ocated
inside the cab.
16. Unscrew the five screws in the five pin connector severa turns so that there
is enough room for the wires to be inserted under the tiny c amps.
17. With screw termina s facing you and wire ho es on the eft, insert red, power
wire into top ho e of connector (see Figure 2) and tighten screw.
18. Insert eft turn signa two wires into the next two ho es (see Figure 2) and
tighten firmly.
19. Insert right turn signa two wires into the bottom two ho es (see Figure 2) and
tighten firmly.
20. Rep ace kick pane .
STEP 3: ATTACH CONTROLLER
1. Push chassis connector onto top termina of contro er.
2. Insert 5 pin connector into contro er jack.
3. A ow magnet to attach the contro er to the gas tank.
4. Insta 1 Amp safety fuse into fuse ho der.
5. Re-connect battery.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Symptom Test/Solution
Turn Signa s
Do Not
Work:
1. Make sure battery is charged and connected.
2. Make sure 5 pin connector is fu y inserted and power wire is tight.
3. Make sure chassis connector is fu y pushed onto contro er and is tight y connected to
chassis at the ring termina .
4. Touch test ight to top screw of 5 pin connector. If it does not ight, the fuse may be b own,
the power connection may not be good at the termina b ock post, or the screw may not be
tight enough. Unit can safely use 1, 2, or 3 mp fuse.
5. Turn the turn signa on and touch contro er case with test ight. If the test ight ights, the
chassis connection is bad.
One Signa
Light Does
Not Work
If one ight does not work, swap the wire with another ight on the 5 pin connector. If ight sti
does not come on, the wire going to the ight is shorted to the chassis, there is a poor connection
in the bu et connector, or the turn signa assemb y has a poor connection to the chassis.
If the other ight that previous y did work now does not work in the same position as the first
ight that did not work, you either have a bad 5 pin connector or a bad contro er. Contact
