USING THE APPLIANCE
CAUTION:
Avoid contact with the vent in the glass lid as steam can escape. Use oven gloves when
removing the glass lid as it can become extremely hot during use.
1. Insert the detachable temperature probe into the pan, with the dial in the OFF position.
a. Make sure the probe is completely inserted into the probe socket, otherwise the
thermostat will not work correctly.
b. Do not force the probe into the probe socket. Make sure that the Contact Pins are
inserted correctly into the probe.
2. Plug the power cord into a 120 volt 60Hz AC (standard household) electrical outlet.
3.Turn the temperature dial to the desired heat setting. The Indicator Light on the
temperature probe will come on.
4. When the Indicator Light goes out, the pan is preheated to the selected heat setting,
meaning the appliance is ready to cook your food.
NOTE:
The indicator light will cycle on and off during the cooking process, indicating that the
temperature of the cooking surface is being maintained.
5. If you wish to apply oil or butter to the pan, do so before preheating. Apply with a soft
cloth or paper towel. Never apply cooking spray to the non-stick surface.
6. Place the ingredients in the pan.
a.The inside of the pan has the newest ThermolonTM ceramic non-stick coating for easy
food release and easy cleaning.
7.The glass lid can be used to prevent smells escaping and to reduce cooking times.
8. When cooking is completed, remove food from the pan. Do not use metal utensils.
9.Turn the temperature dial to the OFF position.Allow the pan to cool down.
10. For best results, once the pan has cooled down, remove excess oil from the pan with a
paper towel. Loosen any caked-on food or grease carefully from the pan with a paper
towel before you cook the next batch of food.
11. Unplug the appliance from the wall outlet.
NOTE:
The metal probe of the temperature probe becomes extremely hot. Do not touch it or
bring it into contact with non-heat resistant objects or surfaces.
NOTE:
Never use metal utensils on any non-stick surface. Heat-resistant rubber, nylon, silicone or
wooden utensils are recommended. Never leave a utensil inside the pan while it is hot.
Do not cut food while it is inside the pan.

USING THE TEMPERATURE DIAL
The temperature dial has 5 heat settings for accurate
temperature control.
Very high temperatures will be reached when cooking in High
mode. Only use this mode for stir frying or searing meat.
LOW Keep Food Warm
LOW – MEDIUM Slow Cooking Sauces / Steaming
MEDIUM Curries / Shallow Frying
MEDIUM-HIGH Vegetable Stir Fry
HIGH Stir Fry / Searing Meats
COOKING WITH OILS AND FATS
• We recommend always using some oil or butter. Remember, some oils and fats burn at
lower temperatures. Use oils and fats that have a high smoke point, like rened olive oil,
peanut oil, corn oil and (claried) butter.
NOTE:
Do not use extra virgin olive oil as it cannot withstand high heating and will leave a thin
carbonized layer on your non-stick surface.
• Add only enough oil to coat the bottom of the pan. Do not use large amounts of oil.
NOTE:
Do not use the pan as a deep fryer.
• Because of the excellent heat conductivity of your pan and the ThermolonTM layer,
food and oil may carbonize very rapidly when cooking on high heat.
• Do not use oil sprays, including aerosols, mist, and pump sprays. These sprays cause
residue build-up that is difcult to remove from all types of cookware.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
• Always disconnect from the electrical supply, remove the temperature probe from
the appliance and allow it to cool thoroughly before carrying out any cleaning or
maintenance.
• Pouring water in the hot pan can cause irreparable warping.
• The temperature probe with power cord must NEVER be immersed in water.
• Clean the outer surface of the appliance with a soft, damp cloth.
• Clean the inside of the appliance by holding over a sink with the probe connection
toward the top. Make sure that the probe socket does not come in contact with water.
• Clean with a soft cloth or sponge, using warm, soapy water. Do not use steel wool, harsh
scouring pads or nylon scrubbing pads.
• Rinse and dry with a soft towel or paper towel.
• Always start with a clean appliance. Make sure that you have removed all traces of
cooking oil and food before storing your appliance.
• Brown deposits can form on the non-stick coating as a result of prolonged exposure
to high heat during cooking with fats and oils which can break down. This can create
carbonized oil and fat lms, which may accelerate the loss of non-stick performance. If this
happens, empty any loose food, partly ll the pan with warm soapy water and let it come
to a quick boil. Then turn off the stove and leave it to cool. After cooling the burnt food
should be easily wiped away.
• For tougher burns, we recommend to use a melamine foam sponge, available in most
grocery, department and hardware stores. Pour a shallow pool of plain water into the pan
and rub lightly with circular motion.
• Slight surface marks and discolorations are normal and will not affect the performance of
the product.
