Whether you are a beginner or experienced water gardener, you will
probably have one objective and that is to achieve a clean, clear healthy
pond. Ponds can be affected by various factors such as unconsumed fish
food, decomposing vegetation and fish excrement. If these pollutants are
allowedtoaccumulate,intimetheywillbecomeharmfultoyourfish.Theuse
of a biological filter will remove these toxins (nitrite, ammonia) and provide
goodqualitywaterwiththeadditionalbenefitofreducingalgaegrowth.

Guarantee
Your Green Genie In-pool Filter System Filter is guaranteed against failure due to defective
workmanship or materials for a period of 24 months from the date of purchase. Failure caused
by accidental damage, misuse, neglect or used in liquids other than cold water are excluded
fromthisguarantee. If a failure occursduringthisperiod, a purchase receipt mustbeproduced.
The unit will be either repaired or replaced at the companies option. The company cannot
accept any additional claims for consequential losses. All “ware and tear” items are excluded
from this guarantee i.e Filter Media, UV Lamp, Quartz Tubes and O Rings. Damage caused by
running the filter without water or by frost invalidates the guarantee. This guarantee does not
affectyourstatuaryrights.
Weeedisposal
This product has been designed and built with recyclable and reusable materials and components. A
crossed-out wheelie bin illustrated on the product indicates that this item is subjected to the European
Directive 2011/65/CE. To find out about the proper disposal of electrical and electronic devices, contact
the competent local authorities. You must comply with the requirements of the local authorities; do not
disposeofoldproductstogetherwithnormalhouseholdwaste.
The proper disposal of your old product will help prevent negative effects to the environment and to the
publichealth.

The Green Genie Inpool Filter System is a compact filter for ponds easy to install and
designed for easy maintenance. It performs three different filtering actions: mechanical,
biological, anti-algae UV action.
1. The mechanical filter is remarkable for its big filtering mass to stop solid parts and
will make the water clean and healthy for plants and fish.
2. The biological filter is made ofAquarock bio media giving the ideal condition for the
beneficent bacteria to develop.
3. UV-C filter: The filter creates a water vortex around the UV-C lamp ( protected by a
quartz tube) that eliminates the Green Water Alage within the pond.
To clean the pump:
1. it is necessary to remove it from the Lower Casing (16.),
2. Turn the rotor housing (15.) counterclockwise, extract the rotor (14.) taking care not to lose
the rubber rotor end caps and the o-ring, wash the parts using pond water and check
for any signs of damage.
3. Reassemble all the parts paying attention to the correct placing of all components.

Electrical Connection
1). Thisunitisdesignedforpermanentinstallationtothemains.
2). The power supply should be
earthed and fused at 3amps.

4). For permanent installation into
the mains, it is necessary to
comply with the regulations of the
Local Electrical Authority.
5). Consult a qualified electrician if in doubt about any aspect of electrical wiring.
6). The Wires in the cable are colour coded as follows:
Brown - Live
Green/Yellow - Earth
Blue - Neutral
7). If you need to extend the cable on this unit, you should use a suitable length of
3 core cable and an Oasis waterproof (IP68) cable connector. (Ask your
retailer).
The mains electricity supply MUST BE DISCONNECTED before
Attempting Installation/maintenance or handling of any kind.
Warning: A residue Circuit
Device (RED) Must be fitted to
the mains supply.
WARNING: Never look directly at the U.V bulb when it is switched on.
The UV light generated by the bulb can cause damage to eyes and
skin. The Unit is supplied With a translucent hosetail which will glow
allowingyoutoseethattheU.VisWorking.

Maintenance
WARNING: unplug from the power source prior to any maintenance, in or
outsidewater.
DANGER:neverlookdirectlyat an illuminated UV lamp. It mightdamage eyes
andskin.
-Checkthatthepump'spre-filterisnotcloggedwithdebris(leaves,silt,etc.)
-Checkthattheinlettubeisnotclogged.
-CheckthattheUV-Clampisworkingproperly.Otherwiseitmustbereplaced.
-
TheUV-Clampshouldbereplacedonceayear(5000hours)
When replacing the UV tube or Quartz Sleeve, care should be taken as the parts
withinareveryfragile.
- Firstly, Switch of the power supply and remove the top cover. Unscrew the 2 x
retaining screws located either end of the UV Cover. Unclip the UV cover from the
lower casing. Remove the UV Mechanism from the lower base and gently pull the
QuartzSleeveawayfromtheEndsupport.
- Gently pull the tube out of its enclosure in the end cap and replace with the correct
ATTENTION: - When re-assembling, ensure all fittings are water
tight Paying particular attention to the hose connectors which should be Hand
tightandNotovertightened.

-RinsebothUpperandLowerCasing removinganydeposits/siltbuildup.
- At the end of the maintenance procedure, reassemble all components and check for
leaks..
