S10 Twister: exchange of the gear
The S10 Twister Buggy and Truggy brushed cars are delivered with a gear made of synthetic
material. LRP offers an optional metal gear set with the order number 124518.
You need the following accessories:
#124518 Metal Gear Set Twister
Grease for metal gears
Phillips screwdriver small
Phillips screwdriver big
7mm socket wrench
Slot screwdriver small
The metal gear is recommended, when you use stronger motors or when you drive on rough
terrain.
By taking the example of a S10 Twister Buggy, we would like to explain you the conversion step
by step.

Loose the splints of the rear wing and remove it.
Disconnect the motor cables and loose both of the marked screws.

Loose both of the screws of the motor protection.
Then, loose the two lower screws of the gear box.

Put the car on its wheels and pull the motor protection slightly backwards. Remove the gear box
upwards. The drive shafts are only stuck and will slide out of the carriers, when you take out the
gear box.

Loose both of the screws of the gear cover and remove it.

Loose the nut of the slipper and remove all of the components from the slipper shaft.
Please mind the order of the parts.

Loose the four marked screws and remove the motor mount.

Loose also the fifth screw now.

As the gear parts are greased, please make sure you use some kind of underlay or pit towel from
now on! Open the gear box as shown on the image.
Remove the differential.

Take out the middle gear wheel and the slipper shaft now.
Then, remove the ball bearings from the middle gear wheel.
