The LRX Vulture has a dual power system. Batteries may be used to
manouver and program the unit into position for assembly and
dissasembly. The unit will shutdown in aproximately 6 minutes
where there is no AC power.
The unit will maintain the last power setting when mains power is
restored. For example if the unit was left on when the battery shut
off –or AC was lost, it will power up again when AC is restored.
If the Vulture shuts off (battery), it may be turned back on until the
battery is exhausted. This would be several hours of intermitant use.
IMPORTANT:
The Tilt Axis is capable of providing in excess of 100ft.lbs of torque
before the current limit activates. When the motor is deactivated, the
unit has a holding force of 30 ft.lbs. If an unbalanced load exceeding
25 ft.lbs is anticipated, counterweight is required to prevent the load
from slowly drooping.

Installation of the fixture onto truss creates several potential pinch points, use
fixture lifting handles provided.
Ensure hanger bolts are installed, then tighten ratchet straps. Ratchet straps
must always have a minimum of one and a half wraps around the ratchet drum.
Rotate output shafts to vertical.
Install output extension arms using hardware provided, torque bolts to 23 ft/lb.
Install 360 pick up arms using hardware provided, leave slightly loose.
Remove 360 yoke from fixture, (remove two bolts on each side). DO NOT
REMOVE TILT LOCK BOLT.
Mate 360 light fixture to Vulture arms. Install four retaining pins. Torque
hardware to 23 ft./lb.
Install safety cables as required.
Test range of motion to ensure light fixture does not contact Vulture or other
structures.
Please Note: Mounting options for other fixtures and linear tubes are available.
Uninstalling the fixture and placing into the shipping case:
Remove accessories from Vulture and place in their storage location.
Use homing feature to park the Vulture; or use hand controller to rotate output
arms to vertical and then make hanger assembly parallel to base.

•Plug hand controller directly into fixture, at this point the hand controller
should light up and DMX light on the fixture should also light up. At this point
if the unit is not operational test with another hand controller.
•Ensure the address at the fixture matches the address on the hand controller.
•If still not operational, place fixture into DMX mode and test with an
alternative DMX source.
•Call for service.
TILT OR PAN
NOT OPERATING CORRECTLY.
Head moves freely without control:
•This may indicate the fixture has received impact and the drive has been
damaged.
Head not moving on one axis, but the other axis is fine
•Test with another hand controller if available. If still unresponsive proceed to
next step.
•This may indicate the fixture has received impact and the drive gear has been
damaged or drive may have become disengaged.
•Actuate drive function and listen for motor operation. The tilt and pan drive
assemblies use a slip clutch inline between the motor and drive gear as a
protective measure, this clutch will slip and make a clicking sound once each
revolution when driven by the motor, if the clutch has exceeded it preset
limits.
•If any of these conditions exist, suspend use of the product and call for service.
•There are no user serviceable parts.
