When using electrical devices, especially when children are present, basic safety
precautions should always be followed, including the following:

As with most electrical devices, electrical parts are electrically live even when
the power button is o.
To reduce the risk of death by electric shock:
• Always unplug the device from the electrical outlet immediately after using.
• Do not use while bathing or in the shower.
• Do not place or store this device where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
• Do not place or drop the device into water or other liquid.
• Do not reach for a device that has fallen into water. Unplug it immediately.
• Unplug the device before cleaning it.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of burns, electrocution, re, or injury to persons:
• A device should never be left unattended when it is plugged in.
• Close supervision is necessary when this device is used by, on, or near
children or individuals with certain disabilities or special needs.
• Use this device only for its intended use as described in this manual.
Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
• Never operate this device if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working
properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or if it has been dropped into water.
Return the appliance to a service center for examination and repair.
• Keep the cord away from the heated plates. Do not wrap the cord around
the device.

• Never drop or insert any object into any of the device's openings.
• Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used,
or where oxygen is being administered.
• Do not use an extension cord.
• This device is hot when in use. Do not let surface areas touch eyes or bare skin.
• Do not place the heated plates directly on any surface while the appliance is hot
or plugged in.
• The plug on this device is a polarized plug with one blade wider than the other.
As a safety feature, this plug will t in a polarized outlet only one way.
If the plug does not t fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not t,
contact a qualied electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
• Always store this device and cord in a moisture-free area. Do not store it in
temperatures exceeding 140° F (60° C).
• This device is for household use only.
• Do not plug or unplug this device when your hands are wet.

STYLER FEATURES
Ceramic and Tourmaline Plates
The 1" ceramic and tourmaline plates help control frizz and static for a smooth glide.
Cool Touch
The full sized plates are suspended from outer housing allowing for more control
during styling without hand getting hot.
Conditioned Plates
The plates contain keratin oil, almond oil and microconditioners that evenly emit onto
hair during styling with no oily residue.
Worldwide Voltage
The styler is dual voltage and can be great for travel and used anywhere.
Automatic Safety Shuto
This styler is equipped with automatic shuto. After approximately 60 minutes, the
styler will automatically shut itself o. To reactivate the styler press the power button.
HOW TO USE
Temperature Settings
Take extra care when using this styler. To prevent hair damage, make sure to use the
correct temperature setting for your hair type.
Temp. Hair Type
300˚ F Very ne, fragile or damaged hair
355˚ F Normal, easy-to-straighten hair
410˚ F Thick, dicult-to-straighten hair
Temperature Control
• Set to desired temperature setting by rotating the temperature control dial.
• During heat-up time, the temperature display will pulse until the desired
temperature is reached.
• When the styler reaches the desired temperature, the pulsing will stop.

USAGE TIPS
Straightening Your Hair
1. Hair should be dry and free of tangles before using the styler.
2. Plug the styler into an electrical outlet. Rotate the temperature control dial until
the unit powers on and lights up.
3. Adjust the temperature by rotating the temperature control dial. The display will
ash while the unit heats up, and then glow steadily when it has reached the
selected temperature.
4. Divide hair into manageable sections, and clip the upper layers on top of your
head, out of the way. Work with underneath layers rst.
5. Test the styler on a small section of hair, then adjust the temperature up or down
before styling the rest of your hair.
NOTE:
• If you nd you need a higher heat setting while styling your hair, simply adjust the
temperature to a higher heat setting.
• If you nd you need a lower heat setting, adjust the temperature to a lower heat
setting. Because the styler is already hot, it may take a few minutes to cool o.
6. Take a small section of hair, pull down and away from your scalp, and hold it taut.
7. Starting at the roots, clamp hair rmly between the plates and run the styler
down the entire hair strand, from root to tip, in one smooth stroke. Do not hold
the styler in one area for a long period of time or hair damage may occur.
8. To create curves or icks, rotate your wrist to turn the styler in toward your head
or out away from your head as you run the styler down the hair strand.
9. Repeat with all the sections of your hair, working with the underneath layers rst,
then the top and sides to nish.
10. When you are nished styling, press and hold the power button to turn the unit
o. Unplug it, and allow it to cool before storing.

MAINTENANCE
This appliance has no user serviceable parts.
Cleaning
Make sure the device is unplugged and cool. Use a damp cloth to clean the plates
and the outside of the handle. No other maintenance of the styler is required.
Storage
Unplug the styler whenever it is not in use. Allow it to cool, then store it out of reach
of children in a safe, dry location. Never wrap the cord around the styler, since this will
cause the cord to wear prematurely and break, thus voiding warranty. Handle the cord
carefully and avoid jerking, twisting, or straining it, especially at plug connections.
FOUR-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Spectrum Brands, Inc. warrants this device against any defects that are due to
faulty material or workmanship for a four-year period from the original date of
consumer purchase.
If the device should become defective within the warranty period, we will replace it
free of charge. Return your product and sales receipt with your name, address and

If you purchased the device directly from the LumaBella™ website and would like to
return it for a full refund*, please follow these terms and conditions:
1. Refund will be in the form of a check issued in U.S. dollars and will be provided
only if all terms and conditions are met.
2. The following items must be returned to Spectrum Brands and postmarked no
later than 60 days after purchase of the device:
a. The LumaBella™ device
b. The original sales receipt indicating price and date purchased
c. The completed 60-day money-back guarantee form (located at www.LumaBella.com)
3. In addition, Spectrum Brands, Inc., in its discretion, must determine that the
returned device was used in accordance with the instruction booklet (included
with the device at the time of purchase).
