LumaDent ProLUX User manual

Warranty:
LumaDent, Inc. warrants every product to be free of manufacturer
defects and will repair or replace any product found to be
defective.
Two-Year Limited Warranty:
● LED Headlamp
● Any mount or attachment mechanism
One-Year Limited Warranty:
● Battery Pack
● Smart Charger
● Composite Filter
Six-Month Limited Warranty:
● Control Cable
Limitations of Warranty:
● Breakage or failure due to tampering, misuse, neglect,
accidents, dropping, or modification.
● If product is not used in accordance to recommendations or
instructions provided by LumaDent, Inc.
● If repaired or serviced by anyone other than LumaDent, Inc.
Intended use: To illuminate observing area without physically
contacting patient.
Application site: Hospitals and Clinics
Caution:
● Avoid shining light directly in eyes.
● Do not immerse any components in liquid.
● Properly dispose of old/non-working batteries at your local
recycling site.

2. Wire Management
a) Use the provided O-rings to secure the control switch to the frame temple
arm. This will minimize twisting, pulling, and pushing of the wire.
Run the remaining wire down your back, using the included wire clips to
secure it to your lab coat or scrubs.
5. Charging ProLUX Battery:
a) When the Smart Charger is plugged into a power outlet, a GREEN light
on the charger will indicate the charger is working.
b) When the charger is connected to the bottom of the battery pack, a
RED light on the charger will indicate the battery is charging.
c) When the battery is fully charged, the light on the charger will turn
GREEN once again.

1. Attaching/Adjusting Headlamp
a) For instructions on installing your headlamp to your specific loupes, please
visit www.LumaDent.com/instructions
b) All LumaDent mounts articulate both left/right and up/down. Use the
provided hex key to tighten/loosen screws as needed.
4. Light Function (Control Switch or Battery Switch):
a) Tap the control or battery switch ONCE to turn
the light on/off.
b) Press and hold the control or battery switch to
cycle between 1 of 4 intensity settings.
c) Release the control or battery switch on desired
intensity setting.
3. Composite Filter:
a) Slide composite filter over the headlamp prior to composite procedure.
b) Use handle of the mouth mirror or other instrument to swivel orange shield
down, then place composite.
c) After placing composite, use the mirror handle to swivel orange shield back up.
6. Cleaning:
a) To clean the lens, use any lens cleaner and a microfiber cloth to wipe
lens clean.
b) To clean the wire, use disinfectant spray on a 4”x4” gauze (or similar)
and wipe wire clean.
NOTE: The headlamp is removable
via our “Detachable Linkage Arm”.
This conveniently allows removal of
headlamp without removing mount
from loupes.
Note: The scrub clip can
be moved by threading
the wire through the
plastic piece, making
loop bigger. Once in
position, pull wire from
opposite side to make
loop small again.
Battery Level Meter:
4 LED lights on the top of battery will turn RED, indicating battery level, when
button is pressed.
Battery Specifications:
● Charging Time: 3 hours (Full charge)
● Battery Life: 15-40 hours
● Intensity Control: 4 Preset Intensities
Precautions:
● Use only the provided charger to charge the battery.
● Do not charge the battery overnight/unattended.
● Do not drop, immerse in liquids, or store near hot areas.
● If battery acts abnormally, discontinue use and contact us right away..
● Recommended to use light on medium to high intensity to reduce eye
strain.
