IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
•When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:
•Read all instructions thoroughly before using the appliance.
•Do not use or store the unit in damp and/or moist areas where it may come in contact with water.
•Keep out of reach of children.
•Do not submerge the unit, cord, plug or power base in water or other liquids.
•Use the handle to carry or move the unit, as the surface may be hot after use. This also avoids scalding from hot liquid.
•Use caution not to touch the power base or bottom of the kettle after usage to avoid scalding.
•Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is to be used by or near children.
•Unit must be operated on a flat surface away from the edge of the counter to prevent accidental tipping over.
•Use the appliance only on the voltage specified on the identification plate.
•Do not use the kettle if it has been damaged or modified or appears to have malfunctioned in any way.
•Do not operate the kettle with a damaged or incorrect cord or plug.
•This kettle is intended for heating water only. Use of any other liquids or food may damage the interior and void the warranty.
•Do not allow the cord to hang over the edge of a table or counter, or contact any hot surface.
•This kettle is designed for Household use only! Do not use outdoors.
•When not in use and before cleaning, disconnect the kettle from the outlet. Allow the kettle to cool completely before cleaning.
•Do not remove the lid during the heating cycle. Scalding may occur.
•Do not operate the kettle without water. If the unit overheats, please allow the unit to cool for at least 15 minutes.
•Do not fill above the MAX line; this may cause water to overflow, which may cause scalding.
•Steam from the kettle may damage walls or cabinets. During use turn the spout away from walls toward an open space. Use heat resistant pads under the kettle to prevent damage to woden
countertops.
•Do not place or use the unit on, or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
•Never operate the appliance when the lid is open or removed.
•To remove from the power source, turn the unit OFF and pull the plug from the outlet. Never pull by the cord.
•To reduce the risk of fire or electrical shock, do not remove the bottom cover.
•Do not use this kettle for other than the intended use.
•To prevent discoloration, do not place tea bags, coffee, instant noodle, or any other liquids or items inside the kettle.
•Do not wash under direct running water as this will damage the control panel. Clean with a soft moist cloth.
•Do no use or store the unit in direct sunlight or near other heat sources (oven, stove, etc.).
•The kettle may have difficulties bringing water to a boil when used in high altitudes or extreme cold conditions.
•Do not disassemble or attempt to repair on your own.

BEFORE INITIAL USE
•Remove all packaging materials.
•Fill kettle to the MAX line and bring the water to a boil. When the unit completes the boiling cycle, discard the water - repeat this process 2 to 3 times. This will remove any dust or residue remaining
from the manufacturing process.
BOILING WATER
1. Remove the unit from base.
2. Open the cover by pressing the button near the handle (number 2 on the illustration).
3. Fill the kettle with the desired amount of water. Do not fill above the MAX line.
4. Close the lid by pressing it down gently until it locks (clicks) into place.
5. Place the kettle on the base, ensuring that it is correctly engaged.
6. Connect the powercord to an outlet and switch the unit ON; the power indicator lights up.
7. The kettle will switch off automatically when the water has come to a boil.
•After use, unplug and empty unused water. Ensure kettle is switched off before removing from the base. The heating cycle can be stopped at any time by operating the switch.
•As a safety feature, the unit may not start immediately after shutting off. Please allow 15 to 20 seconds for the kettle to cool down before switching on again.
•If the kettle ever boils dry, please wait 15 minutes for the unit to cool before refilling with cold water. The safety cut-off will automatically reset during this time.
•Do not open the lid when in operation. Steam escaping from the spout is hot. This appliance is only suitable for heating water; do not use any other liquids.
•A minimum of 0.75L of water must be used to prevent overheating.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
CLEANING
•Unplug the unit and allow it to cool down before cleaning.
•Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive scouring pads or cleaning powders as they may scratch the surface.
•Due to scale build up, it is best to de-scale your kettle weekly. It is recommended to use Citric Acid for de-scaling. If Citric Acid is not available, you can use the juice of 1 lemon. Fill the kettle halfway with
a mixture of Citric Acid/lemon and water. Allow the unit to boil the solution two to three times. Rinse clean and wipe with a soft cloth.

BELANGRIJKE VEILIGHEIDSVOORSCHRIFTEN
•Bij het gebruik van elektronische apparatuur dient u de basis veiligheidsvoorschriften inclusief de volgende in acht te nemen.
•Leest u deze handleiding aandachtig door voor het eerste gebruik
•Gebruik of bewaar dit apparaat niet in vochtige ruimtes waar contact met water mogelijk is.
•Buiten het bereik van kinderen houden
•Dompel het apparaat, het snoer of de bodemplaat niet in water of andere vloeistoffen.
•Gebruik het handvat om het apparaat te verplaatsen, de ketelwand kan warm zijn na gebruik. Op deze manier voorkomt u ook verbranding door kokend water.
•Indien kinderen dit apparaat bedienen is supervisie door een volwassene vereist
•Gebruik dit apparaat enkel op een vlak oppervlakte en plaats het apparaat niet te dicht bij eventuele randen om onverwacht omvallen te voorkomen.
•Controleer of de stroom specificaties van dit apparaat overeenkomen met uw stroomvoorziening.
•Gebruik dit apparaat niet als de ketel beschadigd of aangepast is, of als u enige haperingen in het functioneren heeft ervaren.
•Gebruik dit apparaat niet met een beschadigde of verkeerde stroomkabel.
•Dit apparaat is alleen bedoeld voor het koken van water, het gebruik van andere vloeistoffen of voedingswaren kunnen schade veroorzaken en het recht op garantie tenietdoen.
•Voorkom dat de stroomkabel over een (scherpe) rand hangt en vermijd contact met hete oppervlaktes.
•Dit apparaat is enkel bestemd voor gebruik binnenshuis.
•Wanneer u dit apparaat niet gebruikt adviseren wij u de stekker uit het stopcontact te halen. Doet u dit ook wanneer u het apparaat wenst te reinigen, laat het apparaat altijd eerst volledig afkoelen.
•Om verbranding te voorkomen mag u gedurende het kookproces het deksel nooit van de ketel verwijderen.
•Gebruik dit apparaat niet zonder water in de ketel, dit veroorzaakt oververhitting. Mocht dit onverhoopt toch plaats vinden dan schakelt het apparaat automatisch uit. Wacht u tenminste 15 minuten
alvorens het apparaat weer te gebruiken.
•Vul de ketel niet boven het “MAX” niveau, dit kan overstroming van kokend water veroorzaken met mogelijke verbranding als gevolg.
•Stoom die vrijkomt tijdens het kookproces kan de muur of keukenkastjes beschadigen. Plaats de opening van de ketel altijd richting een open ruimte. Wij adviseren u hittebestendige onderzetters te
gebruiken mocht u een aanrecht van gevoelig materiaal hebben.
•Plaats dit apparaat niet op of in de buurt van een kookplaat of in een verwarmde oven.
•Gebruik dit apparaat niet met een open of verwijderd deksel.
•Indien u het apparaat van de stroom af wilt halen schakelt u de schakelaar in de “OFF” stand en verwijdert u de stekker uit het stopcontact, trek altijd aan de stekker en niet aan het snoer.
•Om het risico op brand of een elektrische schok te voorkomen dient u de bodemplaat nooit uit elkaar te halen.
•Gebruik dit apparaat enkel voor het doel waarvoor dit ontworpen is; het koken van water.
•Om verkleuring van de ketel te voorkomen dient u geen thee zakjes, koffie, instant noodles of andere vloeistoffen of voedingsmiddelen in de ketel te plaatsen.
•Reinig dit apparaat niet onder stromend water, dit zal het controlepaneel beschadigen. Reinig met een vochtige zachte doek.
•Plaats dit apparaat niet in direct zonlicht of in de buurt van andere hittebronnen (oven, fornuis etc.)
•Dit apparaat kan moeite hebben met het aan de kook brengen van water wanneer het op extreme hoogtes of in extreme koude condities gebruikt wordt.
•Probeert u dit apparaat niet zelfstandig uit elkaar te halen of te repareren, neem altijd contact op met uw verkooppunt of het MARTA-service center.

INGEBRUIKNAME VAN UW WATERKOKER
•Verwijder al het verpakkingsmateriaal.
•Vul de ketel tot het “MAX” niveau met water en breng het aan de kook. Wanneer de waterkoker klaar is verwijderd u het water. Herhaal dit proces 2 tot 3 keer, hiermee verwijdert u eventueel stof of
residu resten van het fabricageproces.
WATER KOKEN
1. Verwijder de waterkoker van de bodemplaat.
2. Open het deksel door op de knop (nummer 2 in de illustratie) te drukken.
3. Vul de ketel met de gewenste hoeveelheid water, let erop dat u niet boven het “MAX” niveau vult.
4. Sluit het deksel door het dicht te drukken totdat het zichzelf sluit (u hoort een klik)
5. Plaats de waterkoker terug op de bodemplaat, zorg voor een correcte plaatsing/aansluiting.
6. Steek de stekker in een stopcontact en zet de waterkoker aan (er gaat nu een lampje in de “AAN” knop branden).
7. De waterkoker slaat automatisch af nadat het water aan de kook is gebracht.
•Na gebruik adviseren wij u de stekker uit het stopcontact te halen en het ongebruikte water te verwijderen (om kalkaanslag te voorkomen).
•Zorg ervoor dat de waterkoker uitgeschakeld is voordat u het apparaat van de bodemplaat verwijderd. Het kookproces kan op elk moment gestopt worden door de “AAN/UIT” schakelaar te gebruiken.
•Uit veiligheidsoverwegingen kan het zijn dat het apparaat 15-20 seconden nodig heeft om af te koelen na een kookcyclus alvorens het opnieuw geactiveerd kan worden.
•Mocht de droogkookbeveiliging geactiveerd zijn dient u 15 minuten te wachten alvorens de ketel opnieuw met koud water te vullen. Gedurende deze tijd zal de beveiliging gerest worden.
•Open nooit het deksel tijdens het kookproces. Let op! de stoom afkomstig uit de opening is heet! Gebruik deze waterkoker alleen om water te koken, geen andere vloeistoffen.
•Wij adviseren u tenminste 0.75L water te gebruiken om oververhitting te voorkomen.
SCHOONMAKEN EN ONDERHOUD
SCHOONMAKEN
•Verwijder de stekker uit het stopcontact en laat het apparaat geheel afkoelen voordat u start met het schoonmaken.
•Reinig de buitenkant van de ketel met een vochtige zachte doek, gebruik geen schuursponzen of schuurmiddel om beschadiging van de ketel te voorkomen.
•Als gevolg van kalkafzetting tijdens het kookproces adviseren wij u de ketel iedere week te ontkalken. Gebruikt u hiervoor een ontkalkingsmiddel. U kunt tevens citroensap gebruiken. Vult u de ketel voor
de helft met een oplossing van water en een ontkalkingsmiddel en breng deze oplossing 2 tot 3 maal aan de kook. Spoel de ketel goed na en veeg af met een zachte doek.

DEU: BEDIENUNGSANLEITUNG
SICHERHEITSMASSNAHMEN
Lesen Sie die vorliegende Bedienungsanleitung vor der Anwendung des Geräts aufmerksam durch und bewahren Sie die zur weiteren Referenz auf.
•Vor der ersten Anschaltung stellen Sie sicher, dass technische Charakteristiken des Geräts, die auf der Markierung stehen, der Stromversorgung in Ihrem lokalen Netz entsprechen.
•Das Gerät soll nur für Haushaltszwecken benutzt werden. Das Gerät ist nicht für Betriebsanwendung bestimmt.
•Verwenden Sie das Gerät mit beschädigter Netzschnur oder anderen Störungen nicht.
•Achten Sie darauf, dass die Netzschnur keine spitzen Kanten und heiße Oberflächen berührt.
•Ziehen Sie, verdrehen Sie und aufspulen Sie die Netzschnur auf das Gehäuse des Geräts nicht.
•Beim Ausschalten des Geräts aus dem Stromnetz ziehen Sie die Netzschnur nicht, halten Sie nur den Stecker.
•Versuchen Sie nicht, das Gerät selbständig zu reparieren. Bei Störungen wenden Sie sich an das naheliegende Service-Zentrum an.
•Die Benutzung des nicht empfohlenen Zubehörs kann gefährlich werden und zur Beschädigung des Geräts führen.
•Schalten Sie das Gerät immer aus dem Stromnetz aus vor der Reinigung oder wenn sie es nicht benutzen.
•VORSICHT: Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von Badewannen, Waschbecken und anderen Behältern mit Wasser.
•Um Stromschlag und Entflammung zu vermeiden tauchen Sie das Gerät nicht ins Wasser oder in andere Flüssigkeiten ein. Falls dies passiert ist, schalten Sie es sofort aus dem Stromnetz aus und
Störungen wenden Sie sich an das Service-Zentrum für die Prüfung an.
•Das Gerät ist nicht für die Anwendung durch physisch und psychisch behinderte Personen (darunter auch Kinder) bestimmt, die keine Erfahrung in der Anwendung dieses Geräts haben. In solchen Fällen
soll der Benutzer vorläufig von einer Person, die Verantwortung für seine Sicherheit trägt, angewiesen.
•Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur mit der Stromversorgungsbasis entwickelt speziell für diesen Wasserkocher.
•Füllen Sie den Wasserkocher nicht oberhalb der Markierung “MAX”, sonst kann das Wasser während des Aufkochens durch den Ausguss übersprudeln.
•Schalten Sie den leeren Wasserkocher oder den Wasserkocher, in dem das Wasser unterhalb der Markierung “MIN” ist nicht an.
•Das Gerät ist ausschließlich für Aufwärmung vom Wasser bestimmt. Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht für Aufwärmung von anderen Flüssigkeiten, das kann das Gerät ernsthaft beschädigen.
•VORSICHT: Dieses Gerät wird erhitzt während der Verwendung. Um Verbrennungen zu vermeiden berühren Sie nicht heiße Oberflächen und halten Sie nur den Griff.
•Öffnen Sie den Deckel nicht beim Aufkochen vom Wasser.
VOR DER ERSTEN ANWENDUNG
•Packen Sie das Gerät aus und entfernen Sie die ganze Verpackung und alle Aufkleber.
•Füllen Sie den Wasserkocher mit Wasser bis zur Markierung “MAX”, kochen Sie das Wasser auf und schütteln Sie es weg. Bei Bedarf wiederholen.
REINIGUNG UND PFLEGE
•Reinigen Sie den Wasserkocher regelmäßig vom Belag. Verwenden Sie spezielle Reinigungsmittel, die man in speziellen Geschäften kaufen kann. Indem Sie Reinigungsmittel verwenden, folgen Sie den
Anweisungen auf der Verpackung.
•Tauchen Sie das Gerät nicht ins Wasser oder in andere Flüssigkeiten ein.
•Vor der Anschaltung des Geräts stellen Sie sicher, dass die Außenoberfläche und elektrische Kontakte absolut trocken sind.

PRECAUZIONI
Prima di usare l`apparecchio leggere con attenzione il presente manuale e conservarlo per consultarlo in caso di necessità.
•Prima di collegare l`apparecchio alla fonte di alimentazione, controllare che le caratteristiche tecniche del prodotto indicate nella marcatura corrispondino a quelle della Vostra rete elettrica.
•Da usare esclusivamente a scopi domestici. L`apparecchio non è destinato all`uso industriale.
•Non è ammesso l`uso dell`apparecchio con il cavo di alimentazione danneggiato o nel caso di presenza di ogni altro difetto.
•Controllare che il cavo di alimentazione non contatti gli oggetti affilati e superficie riscaldate.
•Non tirare, non attorcigliare e non avvolgere il cavo di alimentazione al corpo dell`apparecchio.
•Al disinserimento dell`apparecchio dalla rete, non tirare il cavo di alimentazione, ma operare con la spina.
•Non manomettere nell`apparecchio. Nel caso di malfunzionamento rivolgersi al servizio assistenza tecnica locale.
•L`uso degli accessori non raccomandati può risultare pericoloso o provocare il danneggiamento dell`apparecchio.

•Non riempire il bollitore al disopra del livello “MAX”, altrimenti può traboccare dell`acqua bollente.
•Non utilizzare il bollitore senz`acqua o se è riempito al disotto del livello “MIN”.
•L`apparecchio è destinato esclusivamente per il riscaldamento dell`acqua potabile. Non utilizzarlo per riscaldare altri liquidi, questo può provocare i gravi danni all`apparecchio.
•ATTENZIONE: L`apparecchio si riscalda durante il funzionamento. Per evitare ustioni non toccare le superficie riscaldate e prendere solamente per impugnatura.
•Non aprire il coperchio quando l`acqua è bollente.

PRIMA DEL PRIMO UTILIZZO
•Togliere tutti gli imballaggi ed autoadesivi sia all`interno che all`esterno dell`apparecchio.
•Riempire il bollitore dell`acqua fino al livello “MAX”, fare l`acqua bollire e buttarla. Ripetere in caso di necessità.
PULIZIA E MANUTENZIONE
•Prima di pulire staccare la spina dell`apparecchio dalla presa.
•Non utilizzare per la pulizia i detergenti chimici o abrasivi.
•Decalcificare regolarmente il bollitore. Utilizzare i detergenti speciali venduti in negozi specializzati. Utilizzando i detergenti seguire le indicazioni del produttore.
•Non immergere mai il bollitore nell`acqua o negli altri liquidi.

MEDIDAS DE SEGURIDAD
Leer atentamente este manual antes de utilizar el aparato y guardarlo para futuras referencias.
•Antes de la primera conexión, comprobar que las características técnicas del producto indicadas en la etiqueta correspondan a la alimentación eléctrica de la red.
•Usar sólo para fines domésticos. El aparato no es para uso industrial.
•No utilizar el aparato con un cable dañado u otros daños.
•Mantener el cable eléctrico lejos de bordes afilados y superficies calientes.
•No tirar, retorcer ni enrollar el cable alrededor del cuerpo del aparato.

ANTES DEL PRIMER USO

LIMPIEZA Y CUIDADO

RECOMMANDATIONS DE SÉCURITÉ
Lire attentivement cette notice avant d’utiliser l’appareil et la garder pour des renseignements ultérieurs.
•Avant la première mise en marche vérifier si les caractéristiques techniques de l’article indiquées par le marquage correspondent à l’alimentation électique de votre secteur local.
•N’utiliser qu’à des fins domestiques. L’appareil n’est pas prévu à l’usage industriel.
•Ne pas utiliser l’appareil avec un cordon d’alimentation abîmé ou l’appareil avec d’autres endommagements.
•Veuiller à ce que le cordon d’alimentation ne touche pas des bords tranchants et des surfaces chaudes.
•Ne pas tirer sur le cordon d’alimentation, ne pas le retordre ni enrouler autour du corps de l'appareil.

AVANT LA PREMIÈRE UTILISATION

NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN
