6X1 Light Installation
The 6X1 Light can be installed in two dierent ways:
Flush Mount with the wire through the Transom
1. Look inside the boat making sure the area you want to mount the light is Free and Clear and accessible.
2. You want to mount the lights to the Transom leaving at least two inches between the light and the bottom of the boat.
3. Make a template, follow the plate and drill a pilot hole into the Transom approximately 3/16 inch to prevent cracking of the Gel Coat.
4. For the center hole, use a 3/4 inch Drill Bit and drill approximately 3/16 inch into the Gel Coat to make a good space for sealant.
5. Use a 3/16 inch Drill Bit and drill the center of the 3/4 inch hole through the transom.
6. The Center hole gets approximately 1/4 inch bead of sealant, enough to ll the 3/4 inch hole you drilled in step 4.
7. Slowly push the wire through the Transom and hold the light still while installing the 3 supplied screws, with approved sealant.
8. Go inside the boat to the area the wire comes through and seal the inside of the Transom with sealant as well.
9. To hook up the lights to power you must nd a power source for the 6X1 Light.
Flush Mount with Spacer --the wire is secured to the Transom entering the boat above the water line
using a clam shell or an already existing hole.
1. Mount lights on the Transom with a Spacer requires a minimum of 2 inches between the bottom of the boat and the light.
2. Locate the mounting location using a Template and drill three pilot holes approximately 1/4 inch into the Gel Coat.
3. Using a Marine Underwater Sealant, place a small amount onto the Gel Coat.
4. Run the wire up the Transom and enter the boat through an existing “Clam Shell”or drill a 3/16 inch hole above the water line.
Using a Sealant to seal the cable and use a “Clam Shell”to cover the wire.
5. Hook up electric to the Lights the same as in steps for installation above.
