Introduction
Congratulations on the purchase of your new appliance.
You have selected a high-quality product. The operating instructions are part
of this product. They contain important information about safety, usage and
disposal. Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all operating
and safety instructions. Use the product only as described and for the range of
applications specified. Please also pass these operating instructions on to any
future owner.

Intended use
This appliance is intended for the exclusive purpose of defrosting or heating
up milk or baby food in baby bottles or baby food jars. It can also be used to
disinfect baby bottles and their accessories. The baby bottles and baby food jars
used must be heat-proof up to a temperature of 100 °C. The appliance is not
intended for any other purpose, nor for use beyond the scope described.
This appliance is intended solely for use in private households and not for use
in commercial or industrial applications.
The appliance is intended only for indoor domestic use.

Danger if not used as intended!
The appliance may be hazardous if used for any other purpose and/or in any
manner than the one intended.
► Use the appliance only for its intended purpose.
► Observe the procedures described in these operating instructions.
Claims of any kind for damage resulting from misuse, incompetent repairs,
unauthorised modification or the use of unauthorised spare parts will not be
accepted.
The risk is borne solely by the user.

NOTE
► Check the package for completeness and signs of visible damage.
► If the delivery is incomplete or damage has occurred as a result of defec-
tive packaging or during transport, contact the Service hotline (see section
Service).
Safety information
DANGER – RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
► Check the appliance for visible external damage before use.
Do not use the appliance if the mains cable or appliance
itself has been dropped or there is visible damage.
► The appliance may only be used in dry indoor rooms.
► Ensure that the power cable never becomes wet or damp
when the appliance is in use. Route the cable so that it can-
not be trapped or damaged in any way.
► Arrange for defective power plugs and/or cables to be
replaced as soon as possible by a qualified technician or by
our Customer Service Department to avoid the risk of injury.
► All repairs must be carried out by authorised specialist work-
shops or by the Customer Service department. Improper
repairs may put the user at risk. It will also invalidate any
warranty claims.

DANGER – RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
► To disconnect the appliance completely from the mains
power, the mains plug must be removed from the power
socket. The appliance must be positioned so that you have
unrestricted access to the mains socket at all times and can
pull out the plug immediately in an emergency.
► Always remove the plug from the power socket before moving
or filling the appliance, in the event of problems, before
cleaning the appliance and when it is not in use! Never pull
on the power cord; always pull directly on the plug itself.
Never touch the appliance plug with wet or moist hands.
► Never immerse the appliance under water or any other
liquids! There is a risk of fatal electric shock if residual
liquids come into contact with live components during
operation. If the appliance ever falls into any liquid, re-
move the power plug from the socket immediately. Stop
using the appliance and contact the Service Hotline (see
section Service).
DANGER – RISK OF FIRE!
► Do not use an external timer switch or a separate remote
control system to operate the appliance.
► The appliance does not need to be monitored continuously
during use, but it should be checked regularly.

WARNING – RISK OF INJURY!
► Misuse may result in physical injury! Use the appliance only
as described in the instructions!
► This appliance may be used by children aged 3years or
over provided that they are supervised or have been told
how to use the appliance safely and are aware of the poten-
tial risks. Cleaning and user maintenance tasks may not be
carried out by children unless they are aged 8 or older and
are supervised. The appliance and its connecting cable must
be kept away from children younger than 3 years old.
► This appliance may be used by persons with limited physi-
cal, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge, provided that they are under supervision
or have been told how to use the appliance safely and are
aware of the potential risks.
Caution! Hot surface!
► Always hold the lid and the basket by their handles to
remove them.
CAUTION! Hot steam can escape from the steam
outlet and the lid (when opened)! Risk of scalding!
To open the lid, lift it by its handle. Avoid contact
between the escaping steam and your hand and
arm. Do not remove the basket until all steam has
completely dissipated.
► Check the temperature of the food before feeding your
baby!

WARNING – RISK OF INJURY!
► Do not heat up food for babies and small children for too
long. Do not exceed 60 minutes.
► Children must not play with the appliance.
► The heating element of the appliance gets very hot during
use. After use, the surfaces of the heating elements will still
have some residual heat. Do not touch the heating element
right after using the appliance.
► Never put your bare hands into the water.
► Never fill the appliance with liquids other than water.
► The baby bottles/baby food jars must not be sealed tight
while they are being heated up. Otherwise, excessive
pressure might build up inside.
CAUTION – MATERIAL DAMAGE!
► Before connecting the appliance, compare the connection
data of the appliance (voltage and frequency) on the rating
plate with that of your electrical supply. This data must cor-
respond in order to prevent damage to the appliance.
► Ensure that the appliance, the mains cable and the plug do
not come into contact with heat sources such as hotplates or
naked flames.
► Never place the appliance near sources of heat.
► Use only the accessory parts provided with the appliance.
Never use the appliance without water in the appliance
base.
► Never open the housing. This can lead to risks and also
invalidates the warranty.
► Allow the appliance to cool down completely before cleaning
and stowing it away it.

ƇRemove all parts of the appliance and the operating instructions from the box.
ƇRemove all packaging materials and any adhesive labels from the appliance.
NOTE
► Check the package for signs of visible damage.
► In case of damage caused by defective packaging or transport, contact the
Service Hotline (see chapter Service).

Risk of suffocation!
► Do not allow children to play with packaging materials.

Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the appliance from damage during transport. The pack-
aging materials have been selected for their environmental friendliness and ease
of disposal, and are therefore recyclable.
Returning the packaging to the material cycle conserves raw materials and
reduces the amount of waste that is generated. Dispose of packaging materials
that are no longer needed in accordance with applicable local regulations.
NOTE
► If possible, keep the original packaging during the warranty period so
that the appliance can be properly packed for returning in the event of a
warranty claim.
Operation
Before starting to use the appliance, ensure that ...
– the appliance, power plug and mains cable are in perfect condition
and ...
– all packaging materials have been removed from the appliance.
1) Clean all parts of the appliance as described in the section Cleaning and
maintenance.
2) Unwind the cable from around the cable retainer and guide it through the
recess on the edge.
3) Insert the plug into a suitable mains power socket.
The appliance is now ready for use.
Cable retainer
There is a cable retainer on the bottom of the appliance base .
This winder allows you to adjust the length of the cable to your specific
requirements.
CAUTION – MATERIAL DAMAGE!
► Ensure that you always guide the cable through the corresponding gap
in the rear of the appliance base for the sake of stability.

Handling and use
Switching the appliance on/off
ƇSet the function selector to the position O(off).
ƇPlug the mains cable into a suitable power socket. The appliance is now
ready for use.
ƇUse the function selector to switch on the appliance with the appropriate
function (see chapter Selecting a function).
ƇTo switch the appliance off after use, set the function selector back to the
position O.
Selecting a function
ƇSet the function selector to the symbol of the function you require on the
scale with function symbols :
: Switching off
: Defrosting
: Heating milk
: Heating baby food
: Heating milk – fast setting
: Disinfect
CAUTION – MATERIAL DAMAGE!
► Whenever you heat any food in the appliance, ensure that there is a
sufficient amount of water inside the appliance base . Add water if
necessary.

Defrosting
This function is intended for defrosting frozen food. It should be used for no more
than 60 minutes at a time.
ƇPour about 150 ml of tap water into the appliance base .
CAUTION – MATERIAL DAMAGE!
► Do not fill the appliance base with mineral water, as the minerals will
deposit sediment inside the appliance.
► Ensure that the water level never exceeds the MAX marking .
ƇPlace the open baby bottle or baby food jar and the basket into the
appliance base .
ƇSet the function selector to the symbol (defrost). The function
indicator will light up red and the appliance will heat the water up
to a temperature at which the food will defrost.
ƇRemove the baby bottle or baby food jar from the appliance as soon as the
function indicator lights up blue.
ƇSwitch the appliance off by moving the function selector to the position O.
ƇOnce the baby food has defrosted completely, continue heating it.
Heating milk
This function is intended for heating milk slowly. It should be used for no more
than 40 minutes at a time.
ƇPour about 150 ml of tap water into the appliance base .
CAUTION – MATERIAL DAMAGE!
► Do not fill the appliance base with mineral water, as the minerals will
deposit sediment inside the appliance.
► Ensure that the water level never exceeds the MAX marking .
ƇPlace the open baby bottle (filled with milk) and the basket into the
appliance base .
ƇTurn the function selector to the symbol (heat milk). The function
indicator will light up red and the appliance will heat the milk up to
a temperature suitable for your baby.
NOTE
► While the milk is heating up, gently wave the bottle back and forth a few
times to ensure the heat is distributed evenly.

ƇRemove the baby bottle from the appliance as soon as the function indicator
lights up blue.
NOTE
► The exact duration of the heating process depends on the quantity of milk
and its original temperature, i.e. room temperature (20°C) or refrigerator
temperature (7°C).
ƇSwitch the appliance off by moving the function selector to the position O.
ƇEnsure that the milk is at a good temperature before feeding your baby.
To do this, spill a few drops of the heated milk onto the inside of your wrist
and check whether the temperature is safe for your baby. A temperature of
approx. 37 °C is suitable as it corresponds to your own body temperature.
Heating food
This function is intended for heating food in baby food jars. It should be used for
no more than 60 minutes at a time.
ƇPour about 150 ml of tap water into the appliance base .
CAUTION – MATERIAL DAMAGE!
► Do not fill the appliance base with mineral water, as the minerals will
deposit sediment inside the appliance.
► Ensure that the water level never exceeds the MAX marking .
ƇPlace the open baby food jar and the basket into the appliance base .
ƇSet the function selector to the symbol (heat food). The function
indicator will light up red and the appliance will heat the food up to a
temperature suitable for your baby.
NOTE
► While the food heats up, stir the content of the baby food jar regularly to
ensure the heat is distributed evenly.
ƇRemove the baby food jar from the appliance as soon as the function indi-
cator lights up blue.
NOTE
► The exact duration of the heating process depends on the type of food
and its original temperature, i.e. room temperature (20°C) or refrigerator
temperature (7°C).
ƇSwitch the appliance off by moving the function selector to the position O.
ƇEnsure that the food is at a good temperature before feeding your baby. To
do this, place a small amount of the heated food on the inside of your wrist
and check whether the temperature is safe for your baby. A temperature of
approx. 37 °C is suitable as it corresponds to your own body temperature.

Heating milk – fast setting
This function is intended for heating milk rapidly. It should be used for no more
than 20 minutes at a time.
ƇPour about 150 ml of tap water into the appliance base .
CAUTION – MATERIAL DAMAGE!
► Do not fill the appliance base with mineral water, as the minerals will
deposit sediment inside the appliance.
► Ensure that the water level never exceeds the MAX marking .
ƇPlace the open baby bottle (filled with milk) and the basket into the
appliance base .
ƇTurn the function selector to the symbol (heat milk – fast setting). The
function indicator will light up red and the appliance will heat the milk
up to a temperature suitable for your baby.
NOTE
► While the milk is heating up, gently wave the bottle back and forth a few
times to ensure the heat is distributed evenly.
ƇRemove the baby bottle from the appliance as soon as the function indicator
lights up blue.

Disinfect
This function is intended for disinfecting baby bottles and their accessories.
It should be used for no more than 20 minutes at a time.
NOTE
► Only use the appliance to disinfect baby bottles and other objects that
are heat proof, i.e. neither deform nor release harmful substances at a
temperature of 100°C.
► Baby bottles and other objects must be cleaned completely before disin-
fecting.
► Place bottles into the basket next to each other; do not pile them on top
of each other.
► Always remove the disinfected baby bottles and objects with clean hands
or sterile gloves to avoid contaminating them again.
ƇPour about 60 ml of tap water into the appliance base .
CAUTION – MATERIAL DAMAGE!
► Do not fill the appliance base with mineral water, as the minerals will
deposit sediment inside the appliance.
► Ensure that the water level never exceeds the MAX marking .
ƇTo disinfect baby bottles, place them into the basket upside down.
ƇTo disinfect objects, place them into the basket and attach the lid to
the appliance basis . When replacing the lid , make sure the notch is
located above the handle of the basket .
ƇTurn the function selector to the symbol (disinfect). The function
indicator will light up red and the appliance will heat the water up to
approx. 100°C.
WARNING
Risk of scalding!
► The steam escaping the steam outlets and the condensation on the
inside of the lid are hot. Avoid contact with this steam or water!
ƇSwitch the appliance off after 20 minutes by moving the function selector
to the position O.
ƇAllow the appliance to cool down before removing the disinfected baby
bottles or other objects.

WARNING
Risk of burns!
► The disinfected baby bottles/objects might still be extremely hot. Always
wear gloves to protect your fingers when touching them.
CAUTION – MATERIAL DAMAGE!
► To prevent overheating after the disinfecting process, switch the appliance
off and allow it to cool down for at least 30 minutes before using it again.
Cleaning and maintenance
DANGER – RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
► Before cleaning the appliance, disconnect the power plug from the mains
power socket! Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock!
► Never open any parts of the housing. There are no serviceable parts
whatsoever inside. When the housing is open, there is a risk of receiving
a potentially fatal electrical shock.
WARNING – RISK OF BURNS!
► Allow the appliance to cool down to room temperature before cleaning it.
Otherwise, there is a risk of burns!
CAUTION – MATERIAL DAMAGE!
► Do not use abrasive or caustic cleaning agents. These can attack the
surface and damage the appliance beyond repair.
ƇClean all exterior surfaces and the mains cable with a slightly dampened
cloth after every use. Always dry the appliance properly before using it again.
Ensure that there is no detergent residue on or in the appliance before using
it again.
ƇThe basket and its lid can be cleaned in the dishwasher .

Descaling
After using the appliance for a while, limescale may deposit on the heating
element (depending on the hardness of the water used). Limescale deposits can
significantly reduce the performance of the appliance. They must be removed
regularly.
CAUTION – MATERIAL DAMAGE!
► Do not use commercial descaling agents, acetic acid or vinegar essence.
ƇSimply pour 50 ml of white table vinegar and 100 ml of boiling water into
the appliance and allow it to take effect for approx. 30 minutes.
CAUTION – MATERIAL DAMAGE!
► Do not exceed the recommended time. This will not result in better descaling
but rather in permanent damage to the appliance.
ƇAfter 30 minutes, pour the vinegar solution out of the appliance.
ƇRinse with clear water twice.
ƇDry the appliance thoroughly.
Storage
ƇLet the appliance cool down completely before putting it away.
ƇStore the appliance in a dry location.
Disposal
Disposal of the appliance
The symbol shown on the left of a crossed-out wheelie bin means that this
appliance is subject to Directive 2012/19/EU.
This directive states that this appliance may not be disposed of in normal house-
hold waste at the end of its useful life, but must be taken to a specially set-up
collection point, recycling depot or disposal company.
This disposal is free of charge for the user. Protect the environ-
ment and dispose of this appliance properly.
You can obtain further information from your local disposal company or the city
or local authority.

Dear Customer,
This appliance has a 3-year warranty valid from the date of purchase. If this product
has any faults, you, the buyer, have certain statutory rights. Your statutory rights
are not restricted in any way by the warranty described below.
Warranty conditions
The validity period of the warranty starts from the date of purchase. Please keep
your original receipt in a safe place. This document will be required as proof of
purchase.
If any material or production fault occurs within three years of the date of purchase
of the product, we will either repair or replace the product for you at our discretion.
This warranty service is dependent on you presenting the defective appliance
and the proof of purchase (receipt) and a short written description of the fault
and its time of occurrence.
If the defect is covered by the warranty, your product will either be repaired or
replaced by us. The repair or replacement of a product does not signify the begin-
ning of a new warranty period.
Warranty period and statutory claims for defects
The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs effected under the warranty.
This also applies to replaced and repaired components. Any damage and defects
present at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking.
Repairs carried out after expiry of the warranty period shall be subject to a fee.

Scope of the warranty
This appliance has been manufactured in accordance with strict quality guidelines
and inspected meticulously prior to delivery.
The warranty covers material faults or production faults. The warranty does not
extend to product parts subject to normal wear and tear or fragile parts such as
switches, batteries, baking moulds or parts made of glass.
The warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged, improperly used
or improperly maintained. The directions in the operating instructions for the product
regarding proper use of the product are to be strictly followed. Uses and actions
that are discouraged in the operating instructions or which are warned against
must be avoided.
This product is intended solely for private use and not for commercial purposes.
The warranty shall be deemed void in cases of misuse or improper handling, use
of force and modifications/ repairs which have not been carried out by one of
our authorised Service centres.
Warranty claim procedure
To ensure quick processing of your case, please observe the following instructions:
■ Please have the till receipt and the item number (e.g. IAN 12345) available
as proof of purchase.
■ You will find the item number on the type plate, an engraving on the front
page of the instructions (bottom left), or as a sticker on the rear or bottom of
the appliance.
■ If functional or other defects occur, please contact the service department
listed either by telephone or by e-mail.
■ You can return a defective product to us free of charge to the service address
that will be provided to you. Ensure that you enclose the proof of purchase
(till receipt) and information about what the defect is and when it occurred.
