The operating instructions are part of this product. They contain important informa-
tion about safety, usage and disposal.
Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all operating and safety
instructions. Use the product only as described and for the range of applications
specified. Please also pass these operating instructions on to any future owner.

Intended use
This baby food maker is designed exclusively for steaming and then mixing
foods to feed to babies and infants. The appliance is not intended for any other
purpose, nor for use beyond the scope described.
This appliance is intended solely for use in private households and not for use in
commercial or industrial applications.
The appliance is intended only for indoor domestic use.

The appliance can be hazardous if used for any other purpose and/or in any
other manner than the one intended.

NOTE
► Check the package for completeness and signs of visible damage.
► If the delivery is incomplete or damage has occurred as a result of defec-
tive packaging or during transport, contact the Service hotline (see section
Service).
Safety information
DANGER – RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
► Prior to use, check the appliance for visible external dam-
age. Do not use the appliance if the mains cable or appli-
ance itself has been dropped or there is visible damage.
► The appliance may only be used in dry indoor rooms.
► Ensure that the power cable never becomes wet or damp
when the appliance is in use. Route the cable so that it
cannot be trapped or damaged in any way.
► Arrange for defective power plugs and/or cables to be
replaced as soon as possible by a qualified technician or by
our Customer Service Department to avoid the risk of injury.
► All repairs must be carried out by authorised specialist work-
shops or by the Customer Service department. Improper
repairs may put the user at risk. It will also invalidate any
warranty claims.

DANGER – RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
► To disconnect the appliance completely from the mains
power, the mains plug must be removed from the power
socket. The appliance must be positioned so that you have
unrestricted access to the mains socket at all times and can
pull out the plug immediately in an emergency.
► Always remove the plug from the power socket before moving
or filling the appliance, in the event of problems, before
cleaning the appliance and when it is not in use! Never pull
on the power cord; always pull directly on the plug itself.
Never touch the appliance plug with wet or moist hands.
► Never immerse the appliance base in water or any other
liquid! There is a risk of fatal electric shock if residual
liquids come into contact with live components during
operation. If the appliance base ever falls into any liquid,
remove the power plug from the socket immediately.
Stop using the appliance and contact the Service Hotline
(see section Service).
DANGER – RISK OF FIRE!
► Do not use an external timer switch or a separate remote
control system to operate the appliance.
WARNING – RISK OF INJURY!
► The appliance is equipped with sharp, moving blades.
Improper use of the appliance can lead to injuries!
► To avoid cutting injuries, do not touch the blades of the
mixer unit with your bare hands.
► Take extreme care when emptying and cleaning the con-
tainer to avoid cutting yourself on the sharp blades of the
mixer unit.

WARNING – RISK OF INJURY!
► The appliance must always be disconnected from the mains
when left unsupervised and before assembly, disassembly
or cleaning.
► This appliance may not be used by children.
► The appliance and its connecting cable must be kept away
from children. This appliance may be used by persons with
limited physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge, provided that they are under supervision or
have been told how to use the appliance safely and are
aware of the potential risks.
► Always hold the lid, steamer insert and the container by
the handles provided when you want to move them.
► CAUTION! Hot steam can escape from the steam
openings in the lid and when opening the lid! Risk
of scalding! To open the lid, lift it by its handle. Avoid
contact between the escaping steam and your hand
and arm. Do not remove the steamer insert until all the
steam has completely dissipated.
► Do not allow children to use the appliance as a toy.
► Caution! Hot surfaces.
The heating element of the appliance and the bottom of the
container get very hot during operation and retain residual
heat even after use.
► Do not touch the heating element or the bottom of the
appliance right after using the appliance. There is a risk
of burns!
► Allow the appliance to cool down completely before clean-
ing and stowing it away.
► Do not reach into the container. The blade of the mixer unit
is extremely sharp!
► Never use any liquids other than water for steaming.

CAUTION – MATERIAL DAMAGE!
► Before connecting the appliance, compare the connection
data of the appliance (voltage and frequency) on the rating
plate with that of your electrical supply. This data must cor-
respond in order to prevent damage to the appliance.
► Ensure that the appliance, the mains cable and the plug do
not come into contact with heat sources such as hotplates or
naked flames.
► Never place the appliance near sources of heat.
► Always operate the appliance on a stable and level surface.
► Use only the accessory parts provided with the appliance.
Never use the appliance without water in the container.
► Never open the housing. This can lead to risks and also
invalidates the warranty.
► The container is not suitable for use in microwaves.
► Do not carry the assembled appliance by the container
handle but by the appliance base.
► Never use the appliance for chopping hard or frozen foods.

♦Remove all packaging materials and any protective film from the appliance.

Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the appliance from damage during transport. The pack-
aging materials have been selected for their environmental friendliness and ease
of disposal, and are therefore recyclable.
Returning the packaging to the material cycle conserves raw materials and
reduces the amount of waste that is generated. Dispose of packaging materials
that are no longer needed in accordance with applicable local regulations.
NOTE
► If possible, keep the original packaging during the warranty period so
that the appliance can be properly packed for returning in the event of a
warranty claim.
Operation
♦Before starting to use the appliance, ensure that ...
– the appliance, power plug and mains cable are in perfect condition
and ...
– all packaging materials have been removed from the appliance.
♦Clean all parts of the appliance as described in the section entitled
“Cleaning and maintenance”.
♦Unwind the mains cable from around the cable retainer and guide it
through the notch on the rim.
♦Plug the mains cable into a suitable power socket.
The appliance is now ready for use.
Cable retainer
A cable retainer is located on the bottom of the appliance. This cable retainer
allows you to adjust the length of the mains cable to your specific requirements.
CAUTION – MATERIAL DAMAGE!
► Ensure that you always guide the cable through the corresponding gap
in the rear of the appliance base for the sake of stability.
First use without contents
Production residue can remain in the appliance after manufacture. It must be
removed to ensure it does not come into contact with the baby food.
♦See the steps described in the following section without bringing any food
into contact with the appliance.

Filling the appliance
♦Remove the container (if necessary) from the appliance base . To do
so, turn the container initially anticlockwise so that the marking at
the bottom of the container points to the symbol on the appliance
base . Now, remove the container by pulling it upwards.
♦Remove the lid from the container . To do this, turn the lid initially
anticlockwise so that the symbol on the lid points to the marking
on the top of the container handle . Now you can remove the lid .
♦Remove the steamer insert and the steamer grill from the container .
Preferably, hold on to the handle of the steamer insert to do this.
♦Fill the container with tap water. Fill it with water to at least the MIN
marking. Never fill it beyond the MAX marking.
CAUTION – MATERIAL DAMAGE!
► Do not fill the container with mineral water, as the minerals will deposit
sediment inside the appliance. Use only tap water.
► Ensure that the water level never exceeds the MAX marking in the container .
Otherwise, boiling water may get into the steamer insert .
♦Place the steamer insert into the container so
that the spouts are positioned on top of each other.
♦Lay the steamer grill with the round handles facing
upwards into the steamer insert (see illustration). .
♦Turn the steamer grill clockwise as far as the stop so
that it sits firmly.
♦Rinse the food you are going to cook (e.g. fruit, vegetables,
meat, fish or poultry) well under running water.
♦Prepare the vegetables by peeling and removing any stalks. Always peel
fruit and remove the cores before steaming.
♦Cut the food into pieces of approximately 1×1cm.
CAUTION – MATERIAL DAMAGE!
► Do not use any frozen food in this appliance.
NOTE
► Red meat and poultry should not contain any bones or gristle.
► Fish must be free of bones.

♦Place the food onto the steamer grill . Ensure that you do not fill the
steamer insert to above the upper edge.
NOTE
► Do not overfill the steamer insert by packing the food too tightly or
covering all the holes in the steamer grill . The steam must be able to flow
between the pieces and through the holes in the steamer grill .
♦Place the lid onto the container so that the symbol on the lid
points to the marking at the top of the container handle . Then turn the
lid clockwise so that the symbol points to the marking at the top of
the container handle and the lid clicks into place.
♦Place the container onto the appliance base so that the marking
at the bottom of the container points to the symbol on the appliance
base . Then turn the container clockwise so that the marking on
the container points to the symbol on the appliance base and the
container clicks into place.
Handling and use
Starting/stopping steaming
♦Turn the function selector to the position. The function indicator
lights up red. The appliance now heats up the water in the container and
brings it to the boil. The steam created rises into the steamer insert and
cooks the food on the steamer grill .
♦For cooking times, please refer to the guide values that we have provided
in the section Recommended cooking times.
♦After the cooking time is complete, turn the function selector to the
0position to switch off the appliance.
♦Without a manual switch-off, the appliance will stop steam cooking
automatically after around 30 minutes and there will be a beep.
WARNING – RISK OF INJURY!
► The steam escaping from the steam outlets on the lid and the surface of
the container are hot. Avoid contact with this steam and the container
during steaming!
► Never open the lid before the end of the cooking process to prevent
contact with escaping steam and hot water on the inside of the container .
► Do not open the lid until the water has stopped boiling and no more
steam is coming from the steam outlets on the lid .
♦Turn the function selector to the 0position.

♦Remove the lid from the container and check how well the food is
cooked, e.g. with a fork.
♦If the food is sufficiently cooked, you can move on to the next stage of
preparation (see section Decanting food).
♦If the food is not yet ready, replace the lid and restart the steaming process.
CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!
► Ensure that there is enough water (MIN marking) in the container .
If not, add some more water.
Decanting food
Before starting the next processing step, the food needs to be decanted.
WARNING – RISK OF INJURY!
► Hot steam can escape from the container . There is hot water inside the
container . Avoid contact with this steam or water! Wear suitable gloves.
♦Remove the steamer insert and the steamer grill with the food from
the container .
♦Tip the remaining water out of the container .
♦Fill the food into the container .
♦If required, add any further ingredients (e.g. water for purées or other
already cooked ingredients such as rice or potatoes). The overall fill level
should not exceed 2/3 of the container .
♦Replace the lid on the container and let it click into place.
Starting the mix function
The foods must now be mixed to a consistency suitable for young children.
♦Turn the function selector to the position. This function is not designed
for continuous operation. For this reason, the function selector does not
lock in place.
CAUTION – MATERIAL DAMAGE!
► Never use the mix function for longer than 1 minute without a break.
► We recommend using the mix function in short pulses (6×10 seconds
mixing / 10 seconds break) and regularly checking the food to see if it
has reached the required consistency.

NOTE
► If the foods stick to the inside of the container , switch the appliance off
for a short while. Scrape of the food with a spoon or spatula and add a
little water.
♦Once the desired consistency has been achieved or after the maximum of
1 minute, allow the function selector to turn back to the 0position.
♦Remove the lid from the container .
♦Remove the mixed food from the container with a spoon or spatula.
♦Check the temperature of the food for usability and start feeding.

► Take care when emptying the container to prevent injuring yourself on the
mixer unit !
► Check the temperature of the food before feeding your child!
Cleaning and maintenance
WARNING – RISK OF INJURY!
► Clean the container carefully to ensure you do not injure yourself on the
mixer unit !
DANGER – RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
► Before cleaning the appliance, disconnect the power plug from the mains
power socket! Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock!
► Never open any parts of the housing. There are no serviceable parts
whatsoever inside. When the housing is open, there is a risk of a potentially
fatal electrical shock.
WARNING – RISK OF BURNS!
► After use, the surfaces of the heating element will still have some residual heat.
Allow the appliance to cool down to room temperature before cleaning it.
Otherwise, there is a risk of burns!
CAUTION – MATERIAL DAMAGE!
► Do not use abrasive or caustic cleaning agents. These can attack the
surface and damage the appliance beyond repair.
♦Clean the appliance base and the mains cable after every use with
a slightly damp washing-up cloth. Dry the appliance base thoroughly
before using the appliance again.
♦Before removing the steamer grill from the steamer insert turn it
anticlockwise.

♦Clean the mixer unit after you have removed it as described in section
Removal/fitting the mixer unit with washing-up liquid and then rinse
it in clear running water.
♦Ensure that there is no detergent residue on or in the appliance before using
it again.
♦The container , lid ,steamer insert and steamer grill are
dishwasher safe.
Removal/fitting the mixer unit
In order to clean the mixer unit , you must re-
move it from the container as described above.
♦Pull the container up, grip the blade drive
(B) turn it clockwise – as viewed from below –
until the mixer unit comes free.
♦Put your hand into the container and
carefully remove the mixer unit from the
container .
WARNING – RISK OF INJURY!
► The blades in the mixer unit are very sharp! To avoid cutting injuries, do
not touch the blades with your bare hands.
♦After cleaning, replace the mixer unit
from above (as shown) into the container
and guide the blade drive (B) through the
opening in the bottom of the container.
♦Turn over the container , grip the blade
drive (B) from below and turn it anticlockwise
– as viewed from below – as far as the stop.

Descaling the appliance
After using the appliance for a while, limescale may deposit in the container
(depending on the hardness of the water used). Limescale deposits can significantly
reduce the performance of the appliance. They must be removed regularly.
CAUTION – MATERIAL DAMAGE!
► Do not use commercial descaling agents, acetic acid or vinegar essence.
♦Simply pour 60 ml of white table vinegar and around 150 ml of boiling
water into the container and allow it to take effect for approx. 30 minutes.
Ensure that the blades of the mixer unit are completely covered by the
vinegar-water mixture.
CAUTION – MATERIAL DAMAGE!
► Do not exceed the recommended time. This will not result in better descaling
but rather in permanent damage to the appliance.
♦Afterwards, pour the vinegar solution out of the container .
♦Rinse with clear water twice.
♦Dry the container carefully.
Storage
♦Let the appliance cool down completely before putting it away.
♦Store the appliance in a dry location.
Disposal
Disposal of the appliance
The symbol shown on the left of a crossed-out wheelie bin means that this
appliance is subject to Directive 2012/19/EU.
This directive states that this appliance may not be disposed of in normal
household waste at the end of its useful life, but must be taken to a specially set-up
collection point, recycling depot or disposal company.
This disposal is free of charge for the user. Protect the environ-
ment and dispose of this appliance properly.
You can obtain further information from your local disposal company or the city
or local authority.

Recipe suggestions
NOTE
► The quantities given in the recipes are guideline values and can vary
depending on the ingredients used and the cooking times.
► The number of portions produced is a guideline value. As babies have
different needs, this information may not reflect the needs of your baby,
in terms of appetite and growth rates.
Mashed potato and carrot
Ingredients: 1 large carrot (approx. 100 g)
2–3 small potatoes (approx. 200 g)
Cooking time: 25 minutes
Portions: 3
♦Wash and peel the carrots and potatoes.
♦Cut the ingredients into pieces of approximately 1 × 1 cm.
♦Cook all the ingredients for 25 minutes.
♦After steaming, tip the remaining water out of the container and add
around 80 ml of drinking water to the container .
♦Place all the ingredients in the container and blend until the desired
consistency has been reached.
Potato-broccoli-chicken purée
Ingredients: 5 broccoli florets (approx. 50 g)
2 small potatoes (approx. 130 g)
50 g chicken breast
Cooking time: 25 minutes
Portions: 3
♦Wash and peel the potatoes. Remove the stalks from the broccoli florets.
♦Cut the vegetables into pieces of approximately 1 × 1 cm.
♦Wash the chicken breast under running water and cut first into strips and
then into pieces of around 1 × 1 cm.
♦Cook all the ingredients for 25 minutes.
♦After steaming, tip the remaining water out of the container and add
around 50 ml drinking water to the container .
♦Place all the ingredients in the container and blend until the desired
consistency has been reached.

Sweet potato and cauliflower purée
Ingredients: 1 small sweet potato (approx. 130 g)
100 g cauliflower
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Portions: 3
♦Wash and peel the potato. Remove the stalks from the cauliflower.
♦Cut the ingredients into pieces of approximately 1 × 1 cm.
♦Cook all the ingredients for 20 minutes.
♦After steaming, tip the remaining water out of the container and add
around 50 ml drinking water to the container .
♦Place all the ingredients in the container and blend until the desired
consistency has been reached.
Apple sauce
Ingredients: 1½ apples (approx. 250 g)
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Portions: 4
♦Wash, peel and core the apples.
♦Cut the apples into pieces of approximately 1 × 1 cm.
♦Cook the apples for 10 minutes.
♦After steaming, tip the remaining water out of the container and add
around 20 ml drinking water to the container .
♦Place all the ingredients in the container and blend until the desired
consistency has been reached.
