Product Overview
CableTRAN NMI2000 series controller adopts technology of MoCA1.1+ and can be
used in high-quality two-way coaxial network rebuilding project. MoCA1.1+ product is mainly
used in the FTTB accessing network structure with the optical node covering 50-100 users. It
supports video, data and voice services, such as SD/HD VOD, VoIP, video telephone,
Over-the-Top, games, etc.

Attention
1.Operation Environment
2) Operation temperature: -20℃——55℃
3) Operation humidity: 5%——90%, No Condensation
2.Safety Instruction
1) Do not try to repair the machine, all the maintenance work needs to be done by
certified professional technicist to avoid electric shock.
2) Do not fill anything in the opening of the machine.
3) Please disconnect the power before cleaning the machine. Please use humid and
soft cloth to wipe the machine and do not use water, paint thinner, benzene and
other strong cleaning agent.
4) Please make sure that the equipment attaching with controller is normal and do not
leak electricity.
5) Please eliminate disturbing signal of high frequency.

Installation
1.Attention
In order to guarantee normal work of equipment and extend service life, please follow the
following regulations during the process of installation:
1) Please handle gently during the process of installing and moving equipment.
2) Please use the original power adapter.
3) Please put the machine on the horizontal or vertical place, far from heat source, avoid
getting wet and keep ventilation.
4) Please put the machine in the dry environment with no dust.
5) Please connect the coaxial cable when the equipment is power off.
6) Please make sure that optical receiver and the associated equipment are normal
before installation (e.g.: ONU, Switch).
7) Please make sure to connect the ground wire to avoid lightning stroke and static.
2. Installation Steps
1) Equipment fixed
If horizontal, please put the machine on the flat ground; if vertical, please pull the hook
on the bottom out and hang it on a secure place.
2) Ground connection
Use the ground wire to connect the ground.
3) Coaxial cable connection
Connect the RF interface of optical receiver to TV IN1;
Connect the RF OU1 with the branch distributor network.
4) Ethernet connection
Connect ETH interface with the associated equipment. If it needs debug, connect the
debug computer to debug interface.
5) Power connection
Connect the power adapter and switch on the power, and check whether the indicator
light is normal or not.
6) Parameter configuration
Configure the parameter of controller and CPE by using WEB or NMS.

Failure Diagnosis
If there is anything wrong with the machine during the operation, users can do some
simple check and handling. If the problem cannot be solved, please contact us as soon as
possible.
Problem Description
Handling Method
PWR indicator light off
1. Check if the power adapter plugs well
2. Turn to another power socket
COAX indicator light off
1. The indicator light is off if no user accesses
2. Check if the coaxial cable works normal
3. Check if the coaxial cable is tightened
4. Check if the network attenuation is too high
5. Check if there is interference signal in the network
6. Check if the network parameter is normal
7. Restart the machine (power off first and then power on)
SYS indicator light off
7. Restart the machine (power off and then power on)
ETH indicator light off
1. Check if the network cable works normal
2. Check if the network line is plugged
3. Check if the associated equipment is normal
4. Restart the machine (power off and then power on)
Debug indicator light off
1. Check if the network cable works normal
2. Check if the network cable is plugged
3. Check if the debug equipment works normal
4. Restart the machine (power off first and then power on)
