M-SURE Digital Depth Gauges
• Before using the Digital Depth Gauge for the rst time, wipe with a clean cloth ideally soaked with cleaning oil.
• Digital Depth Gauges are precision measuring instruments. Avoid using excessive force, and treat with care.
• The tted battery is intended for the factory test procedure and therefore may not meet the specied battery life.
• Avoid exposure to all liquids, excessive humidity or temperature.
• Avoid exposure to bright sunlight.
• Never apply voltage on any part of this Depth Gauge or electric engrave.
• Remove the battery if the Gauge is not being used for a long period of time.
• Never use solvents to clean. Only use a soft cloth with cleaning oil.

Depth Gauge with hook
Part No: MS-535, 540 & 542 Series

1. Insert the key into the battery cover.
2. Twist to unlock. DO NOT use
excessive force.
3. Lift out the battery cover. 4. Remove the battery. (A magnet tip tool can
be used)
5. Locate the side spring battery contact.
6. Insert the replacement battery with
its edge against the side battery contact.
7. Press down on the opposite edge.
8. Locate the two lugs on the battery
cover with the two slots on the Depth
Gauge. Insert the battery cover.
9. Twist to lock. DO NOT use excessive
force.

Referencing Standard Depth Gauge
Referencing Depth Gauge with hook
1. Ensure the locking screw is loose.
2. Wipe clean surface plate or similar at
service.
3. Ensure Gauge base is clean.
4. Place Gauge base on the surface plate.
5. Slide the beam downwards so
measuring contact is in contact with the
surface plate.
6. Press the zero button.
1. Ensure the locking screw is loose.
2. Ensure the Gauge base and hook is
clean.
3. Close the Gauge.
4. Press the zero button.
