1. GENERAL CONFIGURA-
TION. The mixing console
shall accommodate 4
Balanced/Unbalanced Line
Inputs, 8 Unbalanced Line
Inputs, 4 Balanced Micro-
phone Inputs, 1 Balanced/
Unbalanced Main Left
Output, 1 Balanced/
Unbalanced Main Right
Output, 2 AUX Outputs, 2
Stereo AUX Returns,
4 Channel Access Jacks, 2
RCA Tape Out Jacks, 2 RCA
Tape In Jacks, and 1 Stereo
Headphone Output. The
main frame shall be capable
of placement on a table or
mounting in a standard 19-
inch rack mount via op-
tional rack rail brackets and
shall be entirely self-
contained.
2. METERING. The main
frame shall include two 12-
LED meters for monitoring
Main L/R Outputs or, when
the Input Metering button is
depressed., Mic Preamp
Outs and Mix Amp Output
(pre-fader).
3. MIXER INPUTS. The
mixer shall include elec-
tronically balanced mic
inputs using female XLR-3-
type connectors to accept
nominal levels of from
–48dBU to +14dBU. The
mixer shall also have 12 line
inputs consisting of 4
balanced/unbalanced mono
and 4 stereo inputs, each a
standard 1/4" phone jack that
shall accept nominal levels of
from –40dBU to +22dBU on
Channels 1 through 4 and –
25dBU to +22dBU on
Channels 5 through 12.
Channels 1 through 4 shall
have a rotary Trim Control
adjustable from +4dB to –
40dB. The Mixer shall have 2
Stereo AUX Returns and 4
tip-out/ring-in Channel
Inserts. The mixer shall
include stereo Tape Inputs
consisting of phono-type
connectors. The Tape Inputs
shall be present at the AUX
Return 2 Control when the
Tape Monitor switch is
pressed. There shall be a
phantom power supply with
separate switch to provide
+43/48V DC to all mic input
connectors for remote
powering of condenser
microphones.
4. MIXER OUTPUTS. The
mixer output shall be 1/4"
phone jack; there shall be 1
Left and 1 Right balanced/
unbalanced Main Outputs,
L/R RCA Tape Outputs, 2
AUX Outputs, and 1 Stereo
Headphone Output. Maxi-
mum Main Output shall be

Stereo Headphone Jack with
rotary Headphone Level
Control and Tape Monitor
switch. The Headphone
Level Control shall regulate
the output level of signals
appearing at the Headphone
Output jack. In conjunction
with the Input Channel
Metering Switch, the LED
display shall display 1) L/R
main output levels or 2) Mic
Preamp Output levels on the
left display and Mix amp
(prefader) level on the right
display.
8. SPECIFICATIONS. In
addition to specifications
previously cited, the mixer
shall meet or exceed the
following performance
criteria: Frequency Response,
20Hz to 20kHz ±1dB;
Distortion, less than 0.025%,
20–20kHz; Mic Preamp E.I.N.
Noise –129dBm; Typical
Main Output Noise, –90dBU;
Working S/N Ratio, 90dB
(weighted 400Hz to 20kHz),
–83dB 20Hz to20kHz ref:
+4dBU.
The mixer shall be a Mackie
Designs MicroSeries 1202.

+28dBU balanced (–22dBU
unbalanced); all other
Outputs shall be capable of
+22dBU maximum output
level.
5. PHYSICAL CONFIGURA-
TION. The main frame shall
be grey-black with steel
chassis. The mixer’s dimen-
sions shall be 10.35" tall by
11.47" wide by 2.3" deep.
Optional rack rail brackets
shall be adjustable to allow
flush mounting, which shall
add an extra 0.7" to respec-
tive depth measurements.
The weight shall be 7
pounds.
6. MIXER INPUT SECTION.
Each mixer Input Section
shall include the following
features: 2 AUX send con-
trols; 2 rotary equalization
controls (±15dB LO shelving
at 80Hz, ±15dB HI shelving
at 12.5kHz), L/R rotary Pan
control, and Rotary Channel
Fader with center-detent
Unity Gain position.
7. MIXER OUTPUT SECTION.
The mixer Main Output
Section shall have 2 Stereo
AUX Returns consisting of 2
rotary Level controls, Left/
Right rotary Master Level
control with center-detent
Unity Gain position,12-step
LED meter (calibrated –40 to
+8, plus CLIP), Power LED,
1001 3/95 5m
