AR500U must be turned toward transponder to achieve shortest distance straight line of
sight within 1.8 to 2.5 meter range. This is to ensure maximum energy transfer to achieve
longest reading range.
It is recomended to install transponder on the same side with AR500u at entry and exit to
achieve consistent reading angle.
There is no need to install additional loop detector to enable/disable reader. Reader IR
coverage should be sucient to ensure accurate reading within desired range.

Troubleshooting guide
Why reader not able to read CCD200 transponder if car installed Vkool or 3M solar lm?
Please increase reader IR strength to achieve higher penetration into premium brand solar
lm. Extremely high level of metal oxide in some premium solar lm might totally inhibit
any RF signal to pass through causing reader will not able to read CCD200.
Why my transponder or tag not working ?
Please kindly try to read the transponder outside of the car or with windows winded down.
If transponder can still be read at shorter distance, battery might be too weak. This often
indicates it is time to change new battery.
Typically AR500 can achieve 1.8 to 7 meter reading range depending on solar lm
installed on vehicle. Please use CCD200 to achieve true handsfree long range reading.
CCD100 has shorter reading range for manual ashing by hand.
Surge protection
a) AR500U installed outdoor is subject to damaged by lightning surge. It is compulsary to
install data and power surge protector as shown in wiring diagram.
b) Good Earth connection onto the metal pole and all metal housing will give extra
protection against damage by lightning surge.
Battery included in CCD100 and CCD200 is for demo purpose only. It does necessary
provide full life time. Typically the demo battery will run out about 6 months time. Please
kindly change a new battery after the demo battery runs out.
CCD100 is using 2 x 2032 coin battery
CCD200 is using 2 x 2045 coin battery
Removing proximity card from CCD200 will turn o transponder for energy saving. There
is a switch beside CCD100 to turn it o/on. CCD100 can be turned o if not used for long
time.
When reading range gets shorter, it is indication that battery starts to be weak. Changing
a new battery will resume normal reading range.
Changing battery in transponder / tag
Stick to winshield glass to achieve
TRULY handsfree access. CCD200 will
be read automatically as vehicle
approach reader.
Alternatively, CCD200 also can be ashed
manually by hand for user that does not
want to stick it permanently on to the
windshield glass.
CCD100 has shorter reading range.
It is easier to achieve line of sight if
ash manually by hand.
Please ensure that
the IR sensor is not
blocked by ngers.
