What is a QR code?
A QR code (QR = Quick Response) is a type of matrix that can be read
with a smartphone camera and that contains a link to a website or
contact details, for example.
Advantage:You do not need to manually enter a website address or
contact details.
How it works
To scan the QR code, all you need is a smartphone with QR code
reader software and an internet connection.*

product.
You have chosen a modern Wildlife Camera with excellent
technical equipment and respective accessory, which is
particularly easy to operate.
The device comes with a 3 year warranty. In case of a defect in
the Wildlife Camera , you require the enclosed warranty card
and proof of purchase. Keep these in a safe place.

Read and keep instructions
This Operating Instruction belong to this Wildlife
Camera. It contains important information about the
start up and handling.
For ease of understanding, the “Wildlife Camera” can just
referred to as Camera in these Operating Instructions.
Study these Operating Instructions and, in particular the
Safety Information in detail prior to using the Wildlife Camera.
Non observance of these Operating Instructions can lead to
loss of data or damage to the Wildlife Camera.
These Operating Instructions are based on valid standards
and regulations of the EU. Also observe specific guidelines
and laws in other countries!
Keep the Operating Instructions for further use. When
passing on the Wildlife Camera to third parties please also
include these Operating Instructions.

Operating Instructions, on the device or on the packaging.

Correct use
The Wildlife Camera is solely designed to be used as a Wildlife
Camera. It is only suitable for private and not for commercial
use.
Only use Wildlife Camera as described in the operating
instructions. Any other use is deemed to be incorrect and can
cause material damage and loss of data.
The manufacturers or dealers do not accept any liability for
damage resulting from improper or incorrect use.
Safety information
WARNING!
Electrocution hazard!
Faulty electrical installations or excessive mains voltage can
cause electrocution.
− Do not operate Wildlife Camera in case of visible damage
or if the mains cable or connector is defective.
− Damaged USB cables or AV cables of the Wildlife Camera
must be replaced by the manufacturer or customer service
or a similar qualified person.
− Do not open housing but have repair carried out by an
expert. Contact a specialist workshop. All liability and
warranty claims shall be void in case of repairs carried out
by users, incorrect connection or improper use.
− The Wildlife Camera may not be operated with an external
timer or separate remote control system.

− Never immerse USB cable or plug in water or other fluids.
− Keep Wildlife Camera, and accessories away from open
flames and hot surfaces.
− Install any cable in such a way that it does not become a
trip hazard.
− Do not kink USB and video cable and do not install it over
sharp edges.
− Never store the Wildlife Camera in such a way that it can
fall into a trough or wash basin.
− Only use a power adapter (not supplied) with the mains
voltage specified on the rating plate (6V). Otherwise
danger of fire or electrocution. Disconnect the power by
pulling the power adapter out of the socket.
− A plugged-in power adapter (not supplied) can continue
to use power and therefore represents a hazard source.
− The power supply may not be used during thunderstorms.
Otherwise danger of electrocution.
− Keep batteries away from children and pets.
− Insert the batteries observing the proper polarity (+/-).
Failure to properly align the battery polarity can cause
personal injury and/or property damage.
− Remove old or discharged batteries from the product.
− Remove the batteries when the product will not be used
for extended periods of time to prevent damage due to
rusted or corroded batteries.
− Never throw batteries into a fire, do not expose batteries
to fire or other heat sources.
− Battery Disposal: Old or discharged batteries must be
properly disposed of and recycled in compliance with all
applicable laws. For detailed information, contact your
local solid waste authority.
− Keep children away from batteries. If you suspect a battery
has been swallowed, seek immediate medical assistance.

− Follow the battery manufacturer’s safety, usage, and
disposal instructions.
− When not using or cleaning the Wildlife Camera or in
case of a fault, always switch off the Wildlife Camera and
remove the batteries.
− Never touch leaking batteries without respective
protection.In case of contact with skin, wash the area
with plenty of soap and water.
− Avoid battery acid coming into contact with your eyes. In
case of contact with eyes, rinse eyes with plenty of water
and contact a doctor immediately
− Keep children under the age of eight away from the
Wildlife Camera and the accessories.
− Ensure that children do not push objects into the Wildlife
Camera.

Hazard or children and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental abilities (such as partially disabled,
older persons with limited physical and mental abilities)
or lack of experience and know-how (such as older
children).
− TThis Wildlife Camera must not be used by persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of
experience or know how, unless they are supervised or
have been instructed on how to safely use the Wildlife
Camera and understand the hazards associated with
it. Children may not play with the Wildlife Camera. The
camera may not be cleaned or maintained by children.
− Keep packaging foil away from children. Risk of suffocation.

Note!
Danger of material damage!
Incorrect use of the Wildlife Camera can cause the
Wildlife Camera to be damaged.
− Do not leave Wildlife Camera unattended during operation.
− Never place Wildlife Camera on or near hot surfaces (e.g.
stove tops, etc.).
− Ensure that mains cable does not come into contact with
hot parts.
− Never expose Wildlife Camera to excessive temperatures
(heating, etc.). Never pour liquid into Wildlife Camera.
− When cleaning, never immerse Wildlife Camera in water
and do not use steam cleaner. The Wildlife Camera could
otherwise be damaged.
− Do not use Wildlife Camera if plastic or metal parts of it
show cracks or tears or are deformed. Contact the Service
Centre to arrange for replacement of damaged parts.
− Damage to the electronics, lens or any accessories caused
by external influences such as impacts, falls or others are
not covered by the warranty and are chargeable.
− The Wildlife Camera is splash water proof according to
IP54 Standard.

1. Check that delivery is complete (see Fig. A).
2. Remove Wildlife Camera from packaging and check whether the
equipment or parts are damaged. If yes, do not use
Wildlife Camera. Contact the service address of the
manufacturer listed on the Warranty card.

About your Wildlife Camera
The MAGINON WK 3 HD is a wildlife and surveillance camera
with a 3 zone infrared sensor. The sensor can detect sudden
changes to the ambient temperature within an evaluation
area. The signals of the highly sensitive infrared sensor (PIR,
passive infrared sensor) switch on the camera, activating
picture or video mode.
Features of MAGINON WK 3 HD Wildlife
Camera
− 5 mega pixels CMOS sensor.
− During day, sharp and clear colour images and during
night-time clear black and white images.
− Extremely low power consumption in standby operation
providing extremely long operating times (in standby
mode up to 3 months when using 4 AA batteries and up to
6 month with 8 AA batteries)
− The unique sensor design offers a wider angle of detection
and improves the response time of the camera.
− Possible use under extreme temperatures of between -20°
C to 60° C.
− Compact size (approx. 13.5 x 9.3 x 7.2 cm). Ideally suited for
covered use.
− Impressively quick shutter release time (1.0 seconds).
− Spray water protected according to standard IP54.
− The easy to operate securing strap allows quick assembly
and alignment of camera.

Introduction
− Using the serial number function, locations can be en-
coded on photos. Where several cameras are used, this
function allows easier identification of locations when
viewing photos.
− Date, time, temperature and moon phase can be displayed
on the images.
− Lockable and password protection.
− Alarm in case of low battery level.

− Camera trap for hunting.
− Animal or incident observation.
− Motion-triggered security camera for domestic, office or
public use.
− Any internal and external surveillance, where evidence of
an infringement has to be provided.

Opening and closing the camera
Operating buttons, connections and batteries are located
inside the wildlife and surveillance camera.
To open the camera undo the two lateral locking brackets as
shown in Fig. 1.
To lock the camera again, engage metal hoops of locking
brackets into mount and press down plastic tab of bracket
(Fig.2).

A fixing for a padlock is provided between the two locking
brackets, allowing the camera to be securely locked.

Inserting the batteries
Open the camera as described in prior section to insert the
batteries. The battery compartment is housed in the right,
rear part of the camera. Now open the protective cover of the
battery compartment by pulling the clamping closure at the
top slightly inwards before lifting off the cover.
First remove any existing batteries from the battery
compartment. Insert 4 or 8 fully charge batteries as shown
in the below figure. When inserting batteries ensure
correct position as marked for each battery in the battery
compartment.

When using 4 batteries, these can either all be inserted in
the top or in the bottom part of the compartment. Other
combinations are not possible.
Close the battery compartment again with the protective
cover.
− Instead of type LR6 (AA) batteries,
rechargeable batteries with the same
specification (with 2000 mAh or higher) may
be used. We recommend NiMH batteries with
low self discharge (not supplied).
− An alarm is sounded if battery charge is too
low
− Check your batteries regularly. Old or
discharged batteries should be replaced.
− When planning not to use this Camera for
long periods of time remove the batteries
from the camera to avoid leakage.
