Assembly Instructions for the Smart Step Deck Kit #200101T

Step 2: Next remove the lower handrail (vertical
piece) from the third step from bottom.
Step 1: Start by removing the plastic upper
handrail from your existing step.
Deck Conversion Kit
Model #200101T Assembly Instructions
Step 3: Insert the smaller end of the handrail
connector into the top of the lower handrail.
Step 4: Place deck connector on the upper handrail
and place into the hole on the top step.
Step 5: Place upper handrail down over the
handrail connector.
Step 6: Drill #14 x 1 1/4" screws into handrails
through all upper and lower risers.

*Optional* Purchase (2) Anchors (#200888) to weigh
down the Step. Sand not included.
All Finished!
Note: Two people are required for installation.
A total weight of approximately 100 lbs. is
required to keep the step from moving once in
place under water. With the assistance of another
person, carefully place the step in the pool. Place
the two sealed bags of sand (not included) in
ballast bags (M) over the ballast tray (D) to hold
the step in place. Walk step back against the pool
wall to prevent swim behind hazards.
With the step in position close to the pool wall,
slide the deck connectors (H) installation position
on either the pool top seat or pool deck. Secure to
the deck with two #8 x 1" screws (N). Use a
minimum of two screws per deck connector.
Secure each deck connector (H) to each upper
handrail (E1) by using a single #8 x 1" screw.
