(e.g.treesandtallbuildings).The usage of sun film also degrades GPS signal

.Considering the hot weather conditions in India especially during summer,
when car is parked which means AC in car is also not operative, the
temperature inside in car easily goes above 55C.Keeping the device at such
high temperature for prolong period of time may effect the device and it's
battery. Hence it is strictly advisable to take the device along with you in
such conditions.

Getting Started
1.2 Connecting to AC Power and Charging the Battery (Optional)
Whencharging the battery for the first time, you should charge it for at least 8 hours.
1.Slide and click the connector converter onto the AC adapter.
2.Connect the adapter cable to the bottom of your device.
3.Plug the AC adapter into a wall outlet.
The charge indicator glows red when charging is in progress. Do not disconnect
your device from AC power until the battery is fully charged, when the charge indicator
turns amber. This will take a couple of hours.
NOTE: Do not immediately turn on your device after connecting the AC adapter to charge
a power-depleted battery. If you need to turn on the device again, wait for at least one
minute.
.Depending on your region of purchase, the connector converter may not look
exactly the same as the picture shown.
.Your device can also be charged when it is connected to a desktop computer
via the USB cable.
CAUTION: Foroptimalperformanceofthelithiumbattery,takenoteofthefollowing:
.Do not charge the battery where the temperature is high (e.g. in direct sunlight).
.There is no need to fully discharge the battery before charging. You can charge
the battery before it is discharged.However for optimal performance,it is recommended
thatfullcharge-dischargecycleismaintained.
.If you will not use the product for a long period of time, be sure to fully charge
thebatteryatleastonceeverytwoweeks.Overdischargeofthebatterycan
affectthechargingperformance.

1.3 UsingYourDeviceinaVehicle
Acarholderandacarchargeraresuppliedwithyourdevice.
UsingtheCarHolder
CAUTION:
.Select an appropriate location for the car holder. Never place the holder where
thedriver'sfieldofvisionisblocked.
.Ifthecar'swindshieldistintedwithareflectivecoating,anexternalantenna
(Optional)maybeneededtoroutetheantenna
tothetopofthecarthroughawindow.
Whenclosingthecarwindow,becareful
nottopinchtheantennacable.
(Carswithananti-jamwindowdesignmay
automaticallyleaveadequatespaceasneeded.)
Thecarholderconsistsofabracketandastand.
Usethecarholdertofixyourdeviceina
vehicle.MakesurethattheGPSantennahasa
clearviewofthesky.
Forinitialpositioning,remainatthesamespotwithaclearviewofthesky.
TheGPSmaytakeafewminutestofinditscurrentlocationinitially..

1.4 ConnectingtheCarCharger
Thecarchargersuppliespowertoyourdevicewhenyouareusingthedeviceinacar.
CAUTION:Toprotectyourdeviceagainstsuddensurgesincurrent,connectthe
carchargeronlyafterthecarenginehasbeenstarted.Alsoensurethatthemini-USBcharge
Pointdoesnottouchthecar’smetalsurfacewhenthecarchargerisconnected.
1.Connectoneendofthecarchargertothepowerconnectorofyourdevice.
2.Connecttheotherendtothecigarettelighterinthecartopowerand
chargeyourdevice.Theindicatoronthecarchargerlightsingreen
toindicatethatpowerisbeingsuppliedtoyourdevice.

2 OperatingBasics
2.1PerformingtheInitialStartUp
1.PresstheON/OFFbuttonforseveralseconds.
On/Off
2.Yourdevicewillautomaticallyturnon.Connectthecarchargerasdescribedinthe
next section.
3.TheOpeningscreenappears.
4.The Main Menu appears as shown below. You can now use your device.
5. Fully charge the battery before using your device for the first time.
2.2TurningOnandOff/sleepingmode
1. Use the ON/OFF button to turn on and off your device.
2.If want to turn off the device, press the ON/OFF button for several seconds.
Your device will show the option to turn off.

Press button to turn the device off.
3.On pressing button, the device will enter into sleep state.
Whenyou press the button to turn off the unit, your device actually enters a suspend
state and the system stops operating. Once you turn on the system again, it resumes.
2.3Operating the Device
To communicate with your device, touch the screen with your fingertip. You can
perform the following actions:
Tap
Touch the screen once with your fingertip to open item or options.
Drag
Hold your fingertip on the screen and drag up/down/left/right or across the screen.
Tap and hold
Tap and hold your fingertip until an action is complete, or a result or menu is shown.

Operating Basics
2.4Main Menu
The first time you initialize your device, the Main Menu appears. The Main Menu is your
starting place for various tasks. Tap a button to start a task or open other menu.

Toremoveacard,firstmakesurethatnoapplicationisaccessingthecard,
thenslightlypushthetopedgeofthecardtoreleaseitandpullitoutoftheslot

Youcancustomizethedevicesettingssuchasbacklight,volume,dateandtime.
Onceyouchangethesettings,yournewsettingswillremainuntilyouchangethemagain.
3.2Volume

YoucancalibratethetouchscreenifitisnotrespondingaccuratelytoyourTaps.
1. Tap“calibrate”buttonontheDeviceSettingsmenu.ThecalibrateFunctionmenu
Appearsasshownleft-below.
2.Tapandholdthecenterofthetarget,thetargetmovestothepositionofleft-up
Whenagaintapandholdthecenterofthetarget,thetargetmovestheNextpositionof
left-down.
3.Thetargetmovestofiveposition(Left-up'left-down'right-up'right-down'Center)
inorderformingaperiod.Ifnicelytapandholdthetargeteachtime,afteraperiod,
thetargetisDisappear,thedevicecompletesthecalibrationprocessandbackstothe
DeviceSettingsmenu.

signalstheunitisreceivingandalsothestrengthofthesesignals.
1.Tap“GPSReceiver”buttononthesecondmainmenu.
2.TheGPSReceiverFunctionmenuappearsasshownbelow.
Thispagegivesyourcurrentpositionindegreeslongitudeandlatitude,yourcurrent
speedandthestatusofyourposition,i.e.Fixed3DorFixedInvalidetc.
Thecompasscircleshowsthesatellitesthattheunitisreceivingandthebarchart
Belowshowsthestrengthofthesignalfromeachofthesesatellites.

6. DocumentViewer
Thischapter tells you how to view document files on your device.
6.1Viewing a document file
caution:This device supports .txt file formats only.
1.Tap the “Multi Media” button on the main menu to display the submenu.
2.Tap the “Doc. Viewer ” button to enter the file lists menu. All the document
files will show on the lists menu.
3.Tap one of the document files, the system opens document menu and shows the
selecting document.
6.2 Document Viewer Playback Control.

Exit Back the file lists menu.
Previous/Next Play the previous or next file.

7.Bluetoothfunction
The device has built-in Bluetooth 2.0 technology which can connect to other
Bluetoothdevices like mobile phones to perform the following functions:
.Makinga call using the PND in hands-free mode.
.Answeringa call using the PND in hands-free mode.
.Browsethe phonebook of your mobile phone via the PND and then make
call to a phonebook entry.
7.1How to select the Bluetooth function
a.There are two ways to select the Bluetooth function menu:
1.Tap the “Bluetooth” button on the main menu to display Bluetooth function.
(optional)2. Tap the Bluetooth icon on the navigation main menu during navigation.

The following information will be displayed on the screen.
ID number:
This is the Identity Number of the device and is preset at the factory
PIN:This is the PIN code of the device, which is required when pairing the device
with your mobile phone. The default setting is “1234”, You can tap the icon next to
the PIN code, which will allow you to set a new PIN code.
Ver: This is the software version number.
7.3Pairing with a Mobile Phone
Select the Paired List icon in the Bluetooth main menu.
1.Turn on the Bluetooth function of your Mobile phone device and make sure it
is visible to other devices.
2.Tap the icon to search for other devices with Bluetooth connectivity.
3.Aftera few seconds, your PND should find another your mobile phone.
Its name and the name of any other Bluetooth devices found will be shown in the list.
4.Selectyour mobile phone from the list be selecting its name and then tap When
promptedenter the PIN code for the PND (default is “1234”) into your mobile phone,
you will then be requested to link with the audio device confirm this action.
