The THX Ultra®certified Marantz AV-9000 redefines the state of the art in preamp/processors, with
more performance, features and flexibility than ever before available in a high-end home theater
control center. The AV-9000 incorporates the most advanced digital technologies for unprecedented
surround sound performance, along with a remarkable array of audio and video inputs and outputs
including component video switching.
Marantz AV-9000 Features:
Dolby Digital®and DTS®surround sound decoding, plus Dolby Pro Logic®decoding and a
variety of additional surround modes for total surround sound versatility. All surround sound settings
operate entirely in the digital domain.
THX®Ultra post-processing provides the most accurate reproduction of movie soundtracks in the
home.
96kHz/24-bit dual-differential D/A converters and 24-bit A/D converters provide the highest
possible fidelity and high-resolution playback of 96/24 DVD audio discs.
Component video switching allows the user to choose between two component video sources,
such as a DVD player and DTV set-top decoder.
Six-channel direct inputs accommodate future surround sound formats or an external digital decoder.
Gyro-Touch tuning - provides precision AM/FM tuning via a large-diameter tuning wheel that is
weighted and balanced for a silky-smooth "feel," operating in conjunction with a sophisticated digital
tuner section, 30-station preset memory and a convenient station naming function.
Multi-room capability offers independent control of a second room audio and video system.
A special version of the RC2000 Mark II Programmable Learning Remote Control is included.
This versatile remote can be programmed to operate every component in a home entertainment
system with one-touch macro convenience.
Wide variety of additional audio and video inputs, outputs and
switching facilities, including S-video and composite video switching,
coaxial and optical digital inputs and outputs, and a full selection of audio
inputs.
Premium-quality parts and construction including copper shielded
HDAMs (High Definition Amplifier modules) for maximum sonic
performance and reliability.
Easy-to-read fluorescent front panel display and user friendly
on-screen menu system.
