SUMMARY: Controls the Marantz DV7600 DVD player and provides true feedback
GENERAL NOTES: This module provides all controls for the Marantz DV7600 DVD player. It also
provides true feedback. There are three layers of feedback. It is possible turn on and
off any combination of these layers. This module provides commands to do this.
NOTE: THE DV7600 SHIPS FROM THE FACTORY WITH ECONOMY MODE ENABLED. IF
YOU DO NOT DISABLE ECONOMY MODE, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TURN THE
DV7600 ON USING RS232.

CONTROL:
From_Device$ S Serial signal to be routed from a 2-way serial com port.
Power_on/stby/toggle D Pulse to turn the DV7600 on and off. The DV7600 will NOT turn on if the Economy
Mode is ENABLED.
Tray_open/close/toggle D Pulse to open and close the tray.
Play/stop/pause/ skip+/skip-

D Pulse to control the transport functions.
Repeat D Pulse to cycle through the repeat functions.
Repeat_ab D Pulse to cycle through the repeat AB functions.
Program D Pulse to active the program function.

Step D Pulse to activate the step function.
Angle D Pulse to select the angle.
Page+/- D Pulse to step through the pages.
Search D Pulse to activate the search function.
Setup D Pulse to activate the setup function.
Topmenu D Pulse to go to the top menu.
Menu D Pulse to turn the menu on and off
Subtitle D Pulse to turn the subtitles on and off.
Audio D Pulse to activate the audio function.
OSD D Pulse to turn the On Screen Display on and off.
Front_Disp_* D Pulse to set the brightness of the DV7600’s front panel.

Num* D Pulse to enter track or chapter numbers. The num+10 is need for tracks or
chapters above 9. Pulse the num+10 once for 10 to 19, twice for 20 to 29.
Up/Down/Left/Right/Enter/return/clear D Pulse to navigate through the menus.
Sacd_mode D Pulse to change the sacd mode. The input sacd_mode will cycle through the
different modes.
Tv_system D Pulse to change the TV system.
Progressive/interlace D Pulse to change between progressive and interlaced video output.
Aspect_* D Pulse to set the aspect ratio.
Video_mute_on/off/toggle D Pulse to turn the video mute on and off.
Video_adj D Pulse to adjust the video.

Condition_memo D Pulse to condition the memory.
Autopoweroff_* D Pulse to enable or disable autopower off.
IR_code* D Pulse to set the DVD player to IR code 1 or IR code 2.
Auto_status_mode* D
Pulse to set the auto status mode.
Mode 0 is for no auto status.
Mode 1 is layer 1 only.
Mode 2 is layer 2 only.
Mode 3 is layer s only.
Mode 4 is layers 1 & 2 only.
Mode 5 is layers 1 & 3 only.
Mode 6 is layers 2 & 3 only.
Mode 7 is all three layers. This is the default.

Time$ S Serial signal indicating the time into the disc. LAYER 3 FEEDBACK.
Track_ana A Analog value indicating the current track. This is for audio discs. LAYER 2
FEEDBACK.
Chapter_ana A Analog value indicating the current chapter. This is for videodiscs. LAYER 2
FEEDBACK.
Title_ana A Analog value indicating the current title number. LAYER 2 FEEDBACK.
Group_ana A Analog value indicating the current group. LAYER 2 FEEDBACK
Front_disp_off/dim/on_fb D High to indicate the current state of the brightness of the DV9500’s front panel.
