General Information and Safety Instructions
Please read all instructions before commencing installation even it you feel you are quite familiar with this type of product.
THIS CEILING FAN MUST BE INSTALLED BY A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN, AND ELECTRICAL SAFETY
CERTIFICATE MUST BE ISSUED ON COMPLETION OF THE INSTALLATION.

•This appliance MUST be installed by a Qualified Electrical Contractor in accordance with the local
regulations, and all local , State and National electrical codes. Any alterations or additions to building
wiring must be completed by a licensed electrical mechanic, or person authorised by legislation to work
on the fixed wiring of any electrical installation.
•The ceiling fan must be connected to a 240V AC 50Hz power supply.
•The fan must be installed so that the blades are at least 2.1 metres above the floor.
•The fan is to be correctly earthed.
•Before first using the setup, all electrical connections are to be checked in order to prevent any fall,
fire or electric shock.
•The structure that the ceiling fan is connected to must be capable of supporting a weight of at least 45kg.
The fixing must be able to support the moving weight of the fan and must not twist or work loose.
•Make sure that the insulation site will not allow the rotating fan blades to come into contact with any
object and that there is a minimum clearance of 150mm ( 6") from the blade tip to the wall or ceiling.
Please note that the greater this clearance is the better the airflow from your fan will be.
•DO NOT connect the fan motor to a dimmer switch for Lighted Model . This may cause damage to the
motor .
Please Use ONLY the provided remote control unit that is recommended for this unit. Remote Model
( MPAPP)
•Do NOT Install the fan in a position where it could be exposed to water or moisture .
•This is not a DIY Product.
•This is a domestic product and should not be used for commercial trade or industrial purposes.
•The fan must be on the lowest speed before reversing the fan direction. This will prevent any damage
to the motor of the fan.
•Do not insert anything into the blades whilst they are spinning. This will damage the blades and upset
the balance of the fan causing it to wobble.
•After the fan is completely installed make sure that all base and fan fixings are secured and tightened to
prevent any problems.
•Because of the fan's natural movement, some connections may loosen. Check the support connections
brackets and blade attachments twice a year to make sure they remain tightened.
•Do NOT connect the LED fan light to a dimmer switch. the LED lights are non dimmable. ( For fan model
with light fitted )
•Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
•Use of an unapproved wall controller voids the warranty. Therefore do not control the operation of this
fan from any wall controller that is not approved by Martec for use with this fan.
Do not use solid state controllers.

HOW TO INSTALL THE LIGHT KIT PLATE (Version with LED LIGHT )
The screw on the connecting disk is aligned with the keyhole of the lamp plate connector .
After rotating clockwise to the bottom, tighten the screw with the screwdriver to ensure that the screw does
not move ( see diagram below)

HOW TO INSTALL THE MARTEC ANTI-NOISE SURE HANG KIT PLATE
The screw on the connecting disk is aligned with the keyhole of the lamp disk.
After rotating clockwise to the bottom, tighten the screw with the screwdriver to ensure that the screw is firmly in
place.

Note : This ceiling fan must be installed by a licensed / qualified electrician.
CAUTION: Before installing the fan , make sure you have turned OFF the electrical supply from the main switch.
1. Secure the hanging bracket to the ceiling joist or suitable structure that is capable of carrying a load of at
least 45kg, with the two long fixing screws provided . Ensure that at least 30mm of the screw is threaded
into the support.
Fan, hanger bracket and light kit must be
earthed during installation. Secure the mounting
bracket to the ceiling joist or suitable piece of
timber inserted between the ceiling joists. The
bracket should be attached with two wood
screws and washers supplied.

Carefully lift motor assembly onto hanger bracket.
Install ball joint onto the hanger bracket opening.
Rotate fan until notch on down-rod ball engages
the ridge on the hanger bracket. This will allow
hands free wiring. Connect the wires in
accordance to the wiring diagram provided.
Lift the canopy up to the hanger bracket,Lift the
canopy up to the hanger bracket making sure
not to break any wire connection. Secure the
canopy using canopy screws supplied. Cover up
canopy screws using screw cover.

INFORMATION FOR LICENSED ELECTRICIAN AND FAN OWNERS
Please read fault finder before calling for warranty.
FAN WILL NOT START
•Check that mains circuit breakers are in the ON position.
•Check that isolation wall switch is in the ON position.
•Check that speed control knob is NOT in the OFF position.
•Check that reverse control switch (if any) is FULLY turned to up (left) or down (right) position.
•Check that battery in the remote handset (if any) are in good condition.( If remote is fitted to this fan )
•Check that transmission code setting (if any) on remote control handset and receiver is identical.( If
remote is used for this fan )
•Check that live, neutral, ground and light (if any) wires from isolation wall switch, remote receiver (if
any) through to fan are all wired correctly is accordance with wiring diagram.
•Check that all wire connections at wall switch, wire connector and/or terminal block are secured (not
loosened).
FAN SOUNDS NOISY
•Check suggested bulbs and fully tighten light fitting (version with light).
•Re-tighten all screws on fan blades (do not over tighten).
•Re-tighten all screws in the hanging bracket and covering plate.
MECHANICAL NOISE
•Let the fan run for about 8 hours for settling in period.
FAN TURNS BUT DOES NOT MOVE MUCH AIR
•The fan may be running in reverse (for fans with reverse running option).
•The room may contain items which obstruct the air flow.
•The fan may be too small for the size of the room.
FAN OPERATION
A ceiling fan is an environmentally smart choice when it comes to cooling as well as helping to warm
your room. You should see a reduction in both cooling and heating costs by regular use of your fans.
SWITCHING SUMMER/WINTER SETTING
Make sure fan is off and blades have stopped spinning before changing the summer/winter switch.
Summer setting (marked S) – Fan turns in counter clockwise direction. A downward
airflow creates a cooling effect. This also allows you to set your air conditioner on a
higher temperature setting without affecting your comfort.
Winter setting (marked W) – Fan turns in clockwise direction. An upward airflow
creates moves warm air off the ceiling area. This also allows you to set your
heating unit on a lower setting without affecting your comfort.

IMPORTANT FACTS
All electric motors, including fan motors make some noise and may feel hot to touch - this is not a fault.
Ceiling fans tend to move during operation as they are not generally rigid-mounted.
Rigid mounted ceiling fans generate excessive vibration and stress on their mountings.
Movement of a couple of centimeters is quite normal and does not suggest the fan will fall down.
Please note - all ceiling fans are not the same, even in the same model some may move more or less than
others.
FAN OPERATION
A ceiling fan is an environmentally smart choice when it comes to cooling as well as helping to warm your
room. You should see a reduction in both cooling and heating costs by regular use of your fans. Do not
hesitate to use your fans in both summer and winter months.
In summer place the reverse switch in the downward position (fans should spin in anti clockwise
direction) so cool air is blowing down producing a cool breeze.
In winter, reverse the switch (fan should spin in clock wise direction) so that an upward airflow will push
warm air off the ceiling and circulate it downwards into the living areas. In winter months use the fan on a
lower speed than in summer.
Make sure fan is off and blades have stopped spinning before changing the summer/winter switch.
NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR
Threaded components working slightly loose, or blade carriers becoming slightly bent due
to vigorous cleaning or bumping can cause extra wobble and noise. This is not covered
under warranty, but a little care and maintenance can reduce or prevent this problem.
NIGHT OPERATION "NOISES"
This is the biggest cause of service calls, which are outside the manufacturer’s warranty.
If a fan has a fault it will be noticeable at all times. Naturally when everything is quiet at
night you will be more inclined to hear small noises, which may not be noticeable at
other times.

HOW TO INSTALL WALL CONTROLLER
•Do not mount wall controller near heat producing equipment.
•Wall controller provided is designed to be connected with the ceiling fan supplied in this
package only. Other uses may cause personal injury or fire hazard.
•Use of wall/remote controller other than those approved by Martec will void this warranty.
•Make sure electricity is turned off at the main power box before commencing work. Turn
off the power by removing fuse or turning off circuit breaker before installing the wall/
remote controller.
•Disconnect the power and remove the existing wall plate and switch (if any).
•Set the speed control knob on the wall controller in the off position.
•Tighten screws on the terminal blocks; make sure wire connections are wired correctly and
secure.
•Secure the wall controller to the wall with two screws provided.

HOW TO INSTALL BLADES
The blade hole position is aligned with the turntable hole position. Tighten with the blade screw of the
screw bag.
(See Fig.6)
HOW TO INSTALL THE FACE PLATE (Version without light)
The raised clamping position on the cover is aligned with the slot in the
cover and then rotate the cover clockwise until it is tightened

With Light Version , install frosted
Lens Cover
Please make sure the switch is off before changing the color temperature. Simply switch
the slide switch on the LED plate (See Fig.9.) to select the desired color temperature
(WW3000K, NW4000K or CW 5000K). ( See image below)

Important : Ensure all cables are
electrically isolated before wiring.
•Wire the incoming power cables to the terminal block
mounted on the hanging bracket. Wire Active, Neutral
and Earth to corresponding L, N terminals
respectively.
•Slide the canopy up to cover the ball joint , wiring and
hanging bracket , then secure into place.
•Power up the fan.
