When it barks, your dog will hear and receive a stimulus.
The dog will make the connection between its barking and
the stimulus and will stop barking. It may take your dog
several days before making that association.
Without the collar, your dog will go back to barking.
The collar must not be round your dog’s neck all the time
but only when you want it not to bark.
III - USING THE DEVICE
3.1 - Choice of electrodes
Choose the electrodes according to your dog’s hair:
• long-haired dog = long electrodes
• short-haired dog = short electrodes
To fix the electrodes on the collar, clamping by hand, with
no tools, is sufficient.
3.2 - Inserting the battery and switching the device on
(collar not installed on dog’s neck)
Insert the specific 6V Lithium battery
Effitek in the following way:
A beep will sound + the LED will come. The unit is operating
and the LED flashes one time every 5 seconds.
To remove the battery, turn the battery counter-clockwise.
If you insert the battery again immediately, there will be no
beep.
3.3 - Adjusting the collar to the dog’s neck
Install the collar on your dog’s neck, tightening it so that it
does not swivel on his neck (there should be just enough
space to run your finger between the collar and your dog’s
neck). Make sure that there is a good contact between the
electrodes and your dog’s skin; the electrodes must go
through the dog’s hair and under coats.
If necessary, cut lightly the hair of your dog.
Check your dog’s neck regularly. Do not use the collar
for more than 8 hours a day.
Turn the battery clockwise
with a token or a coin until
the arrow symbol lines up
with the lock symbol.
Align the two symbols «arrow»
of the battery and the unit then
insert the battery inside.

IV - OPERATING PRINCIPLE
Emission of an audible beep and 8 gradual levels of elec-
trostatic stimuli depending on the barking frequency.
Each stimulus is shown by the LED lighting up.
V - SWITCHING THE DEVICE OFF
(collar not installed on dog’s neck)
Remove the battery to stop the device and preserve the life
of the battery.
VI - BATTERY STATE INDICATOR
Flat battery = repeated LED flashes every 5 seconds.
Remove the collar from the dog’s neck to change the bat-
tery.
Replace the battery with a new Specific 6V Lithium battery
(Effitek) of the same type. Any damage to the device linked
to the use of a defective battery invalidates the warranty.
On inserting the battery, check the «beep» and that the LED
lights up.
VII - PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
• Use this collar only on dogs of more than 6 months old
and more than 4 kg.
• Before using this collar, ask for your vet’s view so as to
check there will be no unwanted effects.
• This device is to be used with no other collar around the
dog’s neck.
• The collar is waterproof.
• For collar storage, remove the battery from the unit.
• Use only batteries distributed by MARTIN SELLIER.
• Do not try to open the unit as this would cancel the war-
ranty.
• Keep away from children.
On the first barking, only a beep is given off (level 0), war-
ning the dog. If the dog continues barking within 10 se-
conds, it hears a beep and receives a level 1 electrostatic
stimulus. If the dog continues, a second level 2 electrostatic
stimulus is given off.
The increase continues until the barking stops or it reaches
level 8.
The level of stimulus at which the dog stopped barking is
stored in memory until the next barking.
If there is no barking for 5 minutes, the intensity of the sti-
mulus goes down one level and so on down to level 0 (beep
only). Your dog will not receive more than 3 level 8 static
corrections. After the 3rd level 8 correction, the collar auto-
matically switches back to level 0 (beep only) and reinitiates
the graduated procedure.
The collar automatically adjusts the level of electrostatic sti-
mulus according to the dog’s sensitivity and the frequency
of its barking.
For best results, be around during the first trials long enou-
gh to observe your dog and monitor its progress. Check the
electrodes are making good contact on the dog’s skin.
