INTRODUCTION
Thank yo for p rchasing a Master-Bilt cabinet. This man al contains important instr ctions for
installing, sing and servicing a MSC/MSF case. A parts list is incl ded in with this man al. Read all
these doc ments caref lly before installing or servicing yo r eq ipment.
STORE CONDITIONS
The MSC/MSF case are designed to operate in the controlled environment of an air-conditioned store.
The store temperat re sho ld be at or below 75°F and a relative h midity of 55% or less. At higher
temperat re or h midity conditions, the performance of these cases may be affected and the capacity
diminished. It is not ncommon in a newly constr cted store for the temperat re and h midity to be
above design conditions. These excessive conditions may prod ce sweating in the case ntil the store
is operational and the ambient environment is more desirable.

INSTALLATION
- When freezer is received check caref lly that it is not damaged. Yo sho ld notify yo
dealer abo any damage immediatel after delivery.
- The freezer m st be installed in a dry
room that is at a normal temperat re
and has adeq ate vetilation. Place the
freezer so it will not at any time obstr ct
the circ lation of air aro nd it (allow at
least 4 inches of free space)
- Do not place the freezer where it is
exposed to direct s nlight. It m st be
installed on a level s rface, and
separated from any hot objects.
- If the freezer is stored or transported
while cold, do not restart ntil the
compressor has reached a temperat re
of at least +41°F. clean the freezer
before t rning it back on.
- If the label on the freezer indicates class 04, do not install in a place where the
ambient temperat re exceeds +86°F.
- Freezers class 4+ can withstand ambinet temperat res of +95°F, and Class 04 p to
104°F.
- While inoperation make s re sliding lids are always f lly closed so that cold air cannot
escape and the appropriate temperat re is always maintained.

7
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
This appliance complies with EU req irements for radio electrical s ppression in accordane
with directive Standard 82/499/CEE.
The freezer sho ld be pl gged into an o tlet that has the correct voltage and freq ency.
These data are specified on the lable located on the back of the freezer.
The standard voltage in the US is 115V/60Hz allowed voltage variation +/- 10%. The above
variations may ca se damage to the freezer and if so, the factory warranty wo ld be invalid.
Protection meas res m st be taken in addition to sing the freezer according to applicable
electrical codes, even in the case of replacement of an existing freezer that had no been
worth the extra protection needed. The aim of this additional protection is to protect sers
from dangero s electrical shok in case of fail res.
- To protect yo r electrical, se a load center of 25Amps at 115Volts.
- If not possible to obtain the nominal voltage indicated by a variation of +/- 10% (power
s pply instability), install a voltage reg lator (1500VA).
- Connet the eq ipment into a dedicated o tlet.
- The installation m st be made only if the o tlet has the nominal o tp t voltage with a
tolerance +/- 10%. The caliber of the installation cables m st follow the below table:

OPERATION
Freezer temperat re is man ally controlled by the adj stable thermostat.
Adjusting the Thermostat
- T rn the piece on the bottom of the protector vent to the left. P sh p the latches
located nder the vent.
- P ll the bottom rack o t and then down to remove. The thermostat is on the top left in
the cmpressor compartment. To lower the temperat re, t rn the thermostat to the
right (clockwise).
- The thermostat is factory set so that the temperat re in the warmest area of the
freezer does not exceed 0°F.
The ambient temperat re of the room where the freezer is located has a great infl ence on
the temperat re inside the freezer. For this reason the nit sho ld not be exposed to direct
s nlight or installed near hot s rfaces.

9
STORING FOOD
- The freezer is intended solely for storage so it is not s itable for the initial freezing of
food.
- This means p tting only already frozen prod cts into the freezer.
- Remember that yo m st load the freezer p to the load line or, if the load line is not
visible, p to 4 inches below the bottom glass lid. This is to ens re a prod ct
temperat re of at least 0° F.
- The temperat re of the freezer depends mainly on environmental conditions. It is
impossible to provide an exact setting for the thermostat, so yo sho ld adj st to the
prevailing conditions.
DEFROST THE EQUIPMENT
The formation of ice inside the freezer with the passage of time is a nat ral process, b t when
the ice reaches a thickness of abo t 1/4 to 3/8 in, it is necessary to defrost the freezer.
• P t the items stored in the freezer in a cool place or wrap with an ins lating material.
• The freezer m st be npl gged from the o tlet.
• Keep the lid open or remove sliding lids and place them on the floor with care.
• Remove the ice on the walls of the freezer with a plastic or wooden tensil (never
metal).
• The defrost process can be accelerated if yo po r hot water in the freezer.
• Do not se sharp or pointed tools. After defrosting, clean the freezer. Once clean,
