Installation Guide
Master Meter AMI Endpoint - Wall
Dialog®3G Universal XTR™

Master Meter’s AMI Endpoint unit provides an efcient installation-friendly design that installs in minutes and activates with plug-
and-play convenience to keep deployment moving quickly while helping reduce overall installation costs. We recommend that you
read this installation guide thoroughly to walk you through the basic installation process before you begin.
PLEASE NOTE: Any changes and modications to the equipment not expressly approved by Master Meter could void warranty
and the user’s authority to operate the equipment. Professionally trained personnel should install the equipment.
STEP 1
Carefully pull as much wire from the wall as possible. NOTE: Cable can become very brittle over time.
Once wire has been pulled from the wall, use drill or Phillips head screwdriver to install NEW endpoint unit.
STEP 2
Use wire strippers to cut the cable length required to connect the endpoint to the cable from the wall. Snap top of the endpoint unit
to wall mount brackets.

STEP 3
Use 3M | Scotchlok™ connectors (UY2) to connect new AMI Endpoint unit. Prior to connecting wires together, make sure wiring scheme
is correct. Refer to Universal Wiring Matrix found at the end of this document. NOTE: Connectors not provided.
STEP 4
Snip ends of both the new endpoint cable and cable from the wall so that no wires are exposed past colored sleeves. Push
wiring for each cable to the very back of gel cap. Used specialized Scotchlok pliers to make proper compression for gel cap
connectors.
STEP 5
Conrm and make certain that gel caps
are compressed correctly. Refer to
Master Meter Activation Guide for AMR/
AMI conguration.

Remove endpoint from bracket to push gel cap connectors and extra wiring behind the unit, inside the wall mount
bracket. Re-attach endpoint to wall mount bracket. Be sure unit ts ush to wall.
STEP 6STEP 7
After excess wiring has been positioned behind endpoint, place cap under endpoint wall mount. You have now completed
installation.
