The DIALOG® 3G en point (DTMW) is an RF transceiver use
to communicate metere consumption ata in Automatic Meter
Rea ing (AMR) systems.
3G features an exclusive esign that completely encapsulates
the enco er electronics, transceiver, antenna, an batteries
un er the register glass. A esign calle ConnectionFree™.
CAUTION: The User an the Installer shoul be aware that changes an mo ifications to the equipment
not expressly approve by Master Meter coul voi warranty an the user's authority to operate the
equipment.
Professionally traine personnel shoul install the equipment.
The antenna use for this transmitter must be installe to normally provi e minimum separation istance
of at least 20 cm from all persons an must not be co-locate or operating in conjunction with any other
antenna or transmitter
ATTENTION! This type of note is use to warn of potential physical harm to the user or har ware. It is

The igital portion of the transceiver has been teste an foun to comply with
the limits for a Class B igital evice, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules.
These limits are esigne to provi e reasonable protection against harmful
interference in a resi ential installation. This equipment generates uses an can
ra iate ra io frequency energy an , if not installe an use in accor ance with
the instructions, may cause harmful interference to ra io communications.
However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular
installation. If this equipment oes cause harmful interference to ra io or
television reception, which can be etermine by turning the equipment off an
on, the user is encourage to try to correct the interference by one or more of the
following measures:
1. Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
2. Increase the separation between the equipment an receiver.
3. Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit ifferent from that to which
the receiver is connecte .
4. Consult the ealer or an experience ra io/TV technician for help
This evice complies with Part 15 of FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the
following two con itions:
1. This evice may not cause harmful interference, an
2. This evice must accept any interference receive , inclu ing
interference that may cause un esire operation

The 3G en point for water is an AMR mo ule fully integrate into the meter
register that actively recor s consumption ata, ata logs this information, an
provi es a vigilant suite of Revenue Impact Alerts – Leak, Theft, Tamper, an
Zero Consumption.
P er f o r m an c e : Consumption ata is sent continually every 11 secon s in the
unlicense 902-928 MHz ban wi th at 63 mW power. An integral Real Time
Clock (RTC) ensures consistency in the transmission cycle. 3G is available in a
stan ar configuration for Master Meter pro ucts, as well as a universal esign
– the Interpreter - which replaces the original register for most any bayonet top
mount esign such as, but not limite to; AMCO, Ba ger, Hersey, Neptune,
Precision, an Sensus.
Leak De te c t ion : actively monitors for continues rotation of the register
gears, an if it oes not stop for 4 hours, we raise an electronic flag. An if this
flag stays up for 24 hours, we transmit an alarm.
T a mp e r : 3G actively monitors against the use of magnetic tamper evices
such as large speaker magnetic that are commonly use in a n attempt to
magnetically ecouple the register from the meter.
Theft: 3G actively monitors for reverse flow movement using motion sensing
components in the AMR mo ule/register. This vigilant in icator protects against
meter reversal (theft), incorrectly installe meter, an backflow situations.
Zero Co n s u m p t ion : 3G monitors for exten e perio s of zero consumption
an flags the account, notifying utility personnel of a possible stuck meter or
vacate service.
Data L o i n : 4,000 points of scalable, customizable consumption ata are
continually store insi e the 3G mo ule. Consumption resolution is possible
own to the minute.
B a t te r i e s : 3G uses ual non-replaceable long life lithium Thionyl Chlori e
batteries that allows for a generous 20 year warrante battery life

Confi ura ti o n s : 3G en points may be installe in the following
ways:
•Installe on a new Master Meter pro uct, or by retrofitting a
stan ar register on an existing meter.
•Retrofitting competitor pro ucts with the 3G Interpeter by
swapping off the bayonet mounte stan ar register an
replacing it with the 3G.

10
The following materials are supplie by Master Meter:
• Stan ar 3G register (figure 1)
•Mechanical tools such as screw rivers, pliers an
wrenches are not provi e by Master Meter.
•Manual labor require to install or replace exiting
registers an meter components is not inclu e .
