Always protect the cable from oil, heat and
sharp edges. Damaged cables can cause an
electric shock.
tBefore starting work, check the machine and
the mains cable for signs of damage.
tWhen you connect the mains plug, ensure that
the main switch is not locked in its on position.
tFor outdoor use, use only extension cables that
have been specifically approved for this purpo-
se.
tIf you use a cable drum, extend the whole cable
to prevent the cable from overheating. Min. wire
cross-section 1.5 mm.
tFor working outdoors the socket must be fitted
with a residual current-operated circuit-breaker
(RCCB).
tPull the plug when the machine is not in use or
are making adjustments.
tThe cable should always be guided to the rear
away from the tool.
PERSONAL SAFETY
tDo not wear loose-fitting clothing or jewellery.
tEnsure that you have a safe place to stand and
that you wear non-slip shoes.
tWear a hairnet if you have long hair.
tLoose-fitting clothing, jewellery and long hair
may become caught in moving parts.
tAlways wear safety goggles. Following this
instruction will reduce the risk of serious inju-
ries.
tAlways wear a face or dust protection mask.

tDo not distract anybody working on the machi-

switched on or off is dangerous and must be

tAlways switch on the machine before making
contact with the material.
tRemove wrenches and setting tools before you
switch on the machine.
tDo not overload the machine. If the speed falls,
reduce the load on the machine or switch it off.
Using suitable electric tools you can work more
safely and better within the specified capacity
range.
tSecure the workpieces to prevent them turning
with the machine, for example using a clamp or
a vice. Do not machine any workpieces that are
too small to secure. If you hold the workpiece
with your hand, you will not be able to operate
the tool safely.
tKeep electric tools out of the reach of children.
CAREFUL HANDLING AND USE OF ELECTRIC
TOOLS
tKeep the tools clean and functional to enable
you to work better and more safely with them.
tUse only accessories that have been recommen-
ded by the manufacturer.
tNever cut, drill or saw into concealed areas
which may contain electric cables, gas or water
pipes. Use suitable detection equipment to loca-
te these cables and pipes.
tDo not machine materials that contain asbestos.
tDo not cut workpieces which are thicker than
the maximum cutting depth of the cutting disc.
tConduct an operating test of at least 30 seconds
without loading the machine.
tAlways switch off the machine and allow it to
reach a standstill before you put it down.
6. Special safety instructions
tNever cut, drill, or saw in concealed areas where
there may be electric, gas, or water lines. Use a
suitable detector to find such lines.
tWorking with the device causes dust that can
be hazardous to your health, flammable, or
explosive. Take appropriate safety measures.
Wear a dust mask. Make sure that you have
