become null and void if the product is found to have been deliber-

This DAB radio can be powered by 6 x ‘AA’ batteries.
Do not dispose of batteries in your household waste.
Please contact your local authority for details on safe disposal.

Instructions
Switching your radio on for the rst time
• Connect the mains adaptor to the mains outlet and to the DC port
on the radio.
• Fully extend the aerial as far as it will go.
• The radio will display the ‘Welcome’ message.
• The radio will now auto tune, as you will see on the LCD display.
• The radio will check and set the time via DAB. This can take up to
10 seconds to complete.
• After the clock is set the radio will continue to scan for DAB stations.
You will see the amount of stations found indicated by a number on
the right. This can take up to 2 minutes to complete.
• Once the radio have successfully completed the auto tune, the
radio will display the rst alphanumerically station found.
• If there is no DAB signal, or the scan is cancelled by using the
‘Tune/Select’ dial the LCD will display ‘Off Air’. The time will also be
set incorrectly as the scan has been cancelled.

• To explore the stations found you need to turn the ‘Tune/Select’
dial clockwise or anti clockwise. You will skip through the stored
channels the radio has found. When you nd a station you want
to listen to press the ‘Tune/Select’ dial in to select it.
(N.B. The ‘Tune/Select’ dial is double action, twist to tune and press to select)
• The radio will continue to play the last channel selected once it has
been turned on again after being turned off.
Select DAB or FM
• Press the ‘DAB/FM’ to change between DAB and FM modes. An
Icon on the display will indicate which mode the radio is in.
DAB Tuning
Signal strength
• The radio will display the strength of signal you are receiving.
The more bars shown the stronger the signal.
Auto scan / Full auto scan
• To scan local band 3 DAB stations press the ‘Auto Scan’ button
and allow the radio to complete a scan.
• To scan all UK band 3 DAB stations press and hold the ‘Auto Scan’
button and allow the radio to complete a full scan.
Manual tuning
• Press and hold ‘Info/Menu’ till Manual appears on the screen and
then press the ‘Tune/Select’ dial to select it.
• Turn the ‘Tune/Select’ dial to nely tune the signal. The DAB band
channels are numbered 5A through to 13F

FM Tuning
Auto Scan
• While in FM mode pressing the ‘Auto Scan’ button will search the FM
band upwards and stop at the next strong signal FM radio station.
Manual tuning
• While in FM mode turn the ‘Tune/Select’ dial in either direction to
manually tune or adjust the signal.
Storing & Using Presets
Storing presets 1 to 4
• Once you have found a station you wish to save press and hold any
of the 1 to 4 buttons till the display ashes ‘P#SAVED’ and returns
to the name of the station currently selected.
Storing presets 5 to 8
• Once you have found a station you wish to save on preset 5 to 8
position, press ‘4+’ and the display will show 5-8.
• Press and hold 1 to 4 buttons as before to save the preset on 5 to
8 positions (1=5, 2=6, 3=7 & 4=8).

Selecting a stored preset
• For stations stored on presets 1 to 4, press the corresponding
button to recall the saved station. The display will ash with
‘P# LOAD’ and then display the stations name.
• For stations stored on presets 5 to 8, press the ‘4+’ button followed
by the corresponding 1 to 4 (1=5, 2=6, 3=7 & 4=8).
Setting the Clock Manually
• If the clock has not been automatically set via the DAB signal then
press and hold ‘Info/Menu’ till ‘Manual’ is displayed, then press the
‘Info/Menu’ button till ‘Clock’ appears. Press the ‘Tune/Select’
dial to select ‘Clock’.
• Turn the ‘Tune/Select’ dial to set the hour (24hr format) and press
the ‘Tune/Select’ dial to conrm and move on to the minutes.
• Once on the minutes, use the ‘Tune/Select’ dial as before and
press the dial to conrm the minutes.
Alarm Mode
Setting the alarm
• To set the alarm press the ‘Alarm’ button and ‘Alarm 1’ will show
on the display. Turn the ‘Tune/Select’ dial to select either alarm 1 or
2 and press the ‘Tune/Select’ dial to conrm your selection.

DAB & FM Radio
• Once you’ve selected the alarm you wish to set turn the
‘Tune/Select’ dial to set it to either ‘OFF’, ‘DAILY’ or ‘ONCE’ and
press the ‘Tune/Select’ dial to conrm selection.
• After you’ve selected which mode you want to set the alarm in,
turn the ‘Tune/Select’ dial to set the hour (24hr format) and press
the ‘Tune/Select’ dial to conrm and move to the minutes and
repeat the process.
• Once you have conrmed your time you now need to select the
type of alarm alert. You can choose from buzz, DAB or FM
stations from turning then pressing the ‘Tune/Select’ dial. The alarm
will only use the last station tuned in with either DAB or FM and at
the same volume level you left the dial at.
• To turn the alarm alert off press the ‘Standby’ button or press the
‘Snoose’ button to activate the alarm snooze function.
• To disable the alarm, press ‘Alarm’, select which alarm you want to
disable and select ‘OFF’ instead of ‘DAILY’ or ‘ONCE’.
Snooze Function
• Pressing the ‘Snooze’ after the alarm goes off it will delay the alarm
for 5 minutes each time. The alarm duration is 1 hour

Sleep Function
Setting the sleep function
• Press ‘Info/Menu’ button till manual appears on the display the
press the ‘Info/Menu’ till ‘SLEEP’ is displayed and press the ‘Tune/
Select’ dial to select it.
• Turn the ‘Tune/Select’ dial to nd the duration of the sleep timer
required or to disable it by choosing ‘OFF’. The timer moves in
5 minute increments. Press the ‘Tune/Select’ dial to conrm the
selection.
• The radio will display a count down till it turns it’s self off.
System Reset
• Make sure the unit is in DAB mode by checking the display icon.
• Press and hold the ‘Info/Menu’ button till ‘MANUAL’ appears the
press it again till you see ‘RESET’ and then press ‘Tune/Select’ to
conrm.
• The unit will reset and retune it’s self as if it was the rst time.
Information Display
• Pressing the ‘Info/Menu’ button in any radio mode will display the
time, National or Local, Frequence and sleep mode.

DAB & FM Radio
FAQ
Signal not available
• Where the radio cannot receive a DAB signal it will display
‘OFF AIR’. This is either due to a weak signal or no coverage.
• Please make sure the aerial is fully extended.
• Try the reset function on page 10 or unplugging the unit for 4 hours
if you are sure you are receiving signal.
Radio didn’t auto tune for the rst time
• Make sure the radio is in DAB mode and press ‘Auto Tune’.
The clock didn’t automatically set
• See page 8, setting the clock manually.
DAB channel is stuck
• Try the reset function on page 10 or unplugging the unit for 4 hours.
How long do the batteries last?
• The 6 x AA batteries last between 4-5 hours.
My alarm didn’t go off
• The alarm will only go off if the radio is in standby by mode.
