GEBRAUCH
■Das Gerät darf nur zum Erhitzen von
Wasser verwendet werden, nicht
zum Erhitzen von Milch oder ande-
ren Flüssigkeiten. Das Gerät nicht
verwenden, um darin Tee oder Kaffee
zuzubereiten.
■Das Gerät ist ausschließlich für den
privaten Gebrauch geeignet, nicht für
eine gewerbliche oder haushaltsähn-
liche Nutzung z.B. in Hotels, Früh-
stückspensionen, Büros, Mitarbeiter-
küchen o.Ä.
■Das Gerät nur für den angegebenen
Zweck und nur wie in der Gebrauchs-
anleitung beschrieben nutzen. Jede
weitere Verwendung gilt als bestim-
mungswidrig.
■Von der Gewährleistung ausge-
schlossen sind alle Mängel, die durch
unsachgemäße Behandlung, Beschä-
digung, Verkalkung oder Reparatur-
versuche entstehen. Dies gilt auch für
den normalen Verschleiß.

den 5 einstellbaren Temperaturstufen ist das Wasser immer optimal temperiert.

SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
WARNUNG: Alle Sicherheitshinweise, Anweisungen, Bebil-
derungen und technischen Daten, mit denen dieses Gerät
versehen ist, beachten. Versäumnisse bei der Einhaltung
der Sicherheitshinweise und Anweisungen können elektri-
schen Schlag, Brand und/oder Verletzungen verursachen.
■Dieses Gerät kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren sowie von Perso-
nen mit reduzierten physischen, sensorischen oder mentalen
Fähigkeiten oder Mangel an Erfahrung und/oder Wissen
benutzt werden, wenn sie beaufsichtigt oder bezüglich des
sicheren Gebrauchs des Gerätes unterwiesen wurden und die
daraus resultierenden Gefahren verstanden haben.
■Kinder dürfen nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.
■Reinigung und Benutzer-Wartung dürfen nicht durch Kinder

VORSICHT HEIßE OBERFLÄCHEN!
Der Wasserkocher wird während des Gebrauchs sehr
heiß. Während und nach der Benutzung des Wasserko-
chers nicht mit aufgeheizten Teilen in Berührung kom-
men! Ausschließlich den Griff und das Bedienfeld berüh-
ren, wenn der Wasserkocher in Betrieb ist oder heißes
Wasser enthält.
■Nie über die maximale Füllmenge hinausgehen (MAX-Markie-
rung beachten). Ist der Wasserkocher überfüllt, könnte kochen-
des Wasser aus der Ausgusstülle austreten.
■Das Gerät ist nicht dazu bestimmt, mit einer externen Zeit-
schaltuhr oder einem separaten Fernwirksystem betrieben zu
werden.
■Den Wasserkocher, die Basisstation und die Anschlussleitung
niemals in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten eintauchen und
sicherstellen, dass diese nicht ins Wasser fallen oder nass wer-
den können.

■Die Basisstation ist bei nicht vorhandener Aufsicht und vor
dem Reinigen stets vom Netz zu trennen.
■Den Wasserkocher nur mit der mitgelieferten Basisstation ver-
wenden. Die Basisstation nicht mit anderen Geräten benutzen.
■Keine Veränderungen am Gerät vornehmen. Die Anschluss-
leitung nicht selbst austauschen. Wenn der Wasserkocher, die
Basisstation oder die Anschlussleitung beschädigt sind, müs-
sen diese durch den Hersteller, Kundenservice oder autorisier-
te Fachhändler ersetzt bzw. repariert werden, um Gefährdun-
gen zu vermeiden.
■Unbedingt die Hinweise im Kapitel „Pflege und Entkalken“
beachten.
GEFAHR – Stromschlaggefahr
■Das Gerät nur in geschlossenen Räu-
men verwenden.
■Das Gerät nicht in Räumen mit hoher
Luftfeuchtigkeit verwenden.
■Sollte die Basisstation ins Wasser fal-
len, sofort die Stromzufuhr unterbre-
chen. Nicht versuchen, sie aus dem
Wasser zu ziehen, während sie an das
Stromnetz angeschlossen ist!
■Die Basisstation und die Anschluss-
leitung niemals mit feuchten Händen
berühren, wenn die Basisstation an
das Stromnetz angeschlossen ist.
■Den Wasserkocher zum Befüllen,
Ausgießen oder Reinigen von der
Basisstation nehmen. Darauf achten,
dass kein Wasser in die Kontakte auf
der Unterseite des Wasserkochers
eindringt.
■Darauf achten, dass der austretende
Dampf nicht in Kontakt mit elektri-
schen Geräten und Einrichtungen,
die elektrische Bauteile enthalten,
kommt.
WARNUNG – Verletzungs-
gefahr
■Kinder und Tiere vom Verpackungs-
material fernhalten. Es besteht Ersti-
ckungsgefahr.
Verbrühungsgefahr durch Hitze, heißen
Dampf oder Kondenswasser!
■Kontakt mit dem aufsteigenden
Dampf aus der Ausgusstülle
vermeiden. Den Deckel nicht wäh-
rend des Kochvorgangs öffnen.
Das Gerät vor erneutem Befüllen
abkühlen lassen!
■Kochendes Wasser langsam und
vorsichtig ausgießen, ohne dass
das Gerät zu schnell gekippt wird.
■Das Gerät während des Brühvor-
ganges nicht bewegen.
■Darauf achten, dass die Anschluss-
leitung keine Stolpergefahr darstellt.
Das Netzkabel darf nicht von der
Aufstellfläche herabhängen, um
ein Herunterreißen des Gerätes zu
verhindern.
■Sicherstellen, dass die Anschluss-
leitung außer Reichweite von Klein-
kindern und Tieren ist. Es besteht
Strangulationsgefahr!

WARNUNG – Brandgefahr
■Das Gerät nicht in Räumen benutzen,
in denen sich leichtentzündliche oder
explosive Substanzen befinden.
■Das Gerät nicht zusammen mit ande-
ren Verbrauchern (mit hoher Watt-
leistung) an eine Mehrfachsteckdose
anschließen, um eine Überlastung
und ggf. einen Kurzschluss (Brand) zu
vermeiden.
■Das Gerät nicht in Verbindung mit
Verlängerungskabeln nutzen.
■Das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von
brennbarem Material betreiben.
Keine brennbaren Materialien (z.B.
Pappe, Papier, Holz, Kunststoff) in
oder auf das Gerät legen.
■Das Gerät während des Betriebes
nicht abdecken.
HINWEIS – Risiko von Material- und
Sachschäden
■Das Gerät ausschalten und den Netz-
stecker aus der Steckdose ziehen,
wenn während des Betriebes ein Feh-
ler auftritt oder vor einem Gewitter.
Beim Herausziehen aus der Steckdo-
se immer am Netzstecker und nie am
Netzkabel ziehen!
■Das Gerät niemals an der Anschluss-
leitung ziehen oder tragen.
■Das Gerät vor anderen Wärme-
quellen, offenem Feuer, Minustem-
peraturen und Stößen schützen.
Die Basisstation zusätzlich vor lang
anhaltender Feuchtigkeit und Nässe
schützen.
■Den Wasserkocher abkühlen lassen,
bevor er mit kaltem Wasser befüllt
wird, um Glasbruch zu vermeiden.
■Niemals schwere Gegenstände auf
die Basisstation oder die Anschluss-
leitung stellen.
■Nur Original-Zubehörteile des Her-
stellers verwenden, um die Funkti-
onsweise des Gerätes nicht zu beein-
trächtigen und eventuelle Schäden zu
verhindern.
VOR DEM ERSTEN
GEBRAUCH
1. Das Gerät wie im Kapitel „Pflege und
Entkalken“ beschrieben, reinigen.
2. Um eventuelle Produktionsrückstän-
de zu beseitigen, den Wasserkocher
vor dem ersten Gebrauch bis zur
MAX-Markierung (13) mit Trinkwasser
füllen und die 100 °C-Kochfunktion
einschalten. Dafür die Anweisungen
in den folgenden Kapiteln befolgen.
3. Diesen Vorgang zweimal durchfüh-
ren. Dieses Wasser nicht trinken!
AUFSTELLEN UND
ANSCHLIESSEN
Beachten!
■Die Basisstation nur an eine vor-
schriftsmäßig installierte Steckdose
anschließen. Die Netzspannung muss
mit den technischen Daten der Basis-
station übereinstimmen.
■Das Gerät nicht unter Küchenober-
schränke o.Ä. stellen. Durch den
aufsteigenden Dampf könnten diese
Schaden nehmen!
■Die Anschlussleitung so verlegen,
dass sie nicht gequetscht oder ge-
knickt wird und nicht mit heißen Flä-
chen in Berührung kommt (gilt auch
für die heißen Flächen des Gerätes!).
1. Die Anschlussleitung auf der Un-
terseite der Basisstation (9) auf die
gewünschte Länge abwickeln und in
die dafür vorgesehene Aussparung
am Rand legen.
2. Das Gerät immer mit einem Freiraum
zu den Seiten (mind. 20 cm) und nach

oben (mind. 30 cm) auf die Küchen-
arbeitsplatte oder einen anderen
ebenen, festen, wärmebeständigen
und gegen Wasserspritzer unemp-
findlichen Untergrund stellen.
3. Den Netzstecker in eine vorschrifts-
mäßig installierte Steckdose stecken.
Die Steckdose muss gut zugänglich
sein, damit die Netzverbindung
schnell getrennt werden kann.
 Steht der Wasserkocher (12) auf
der Basisstation erklingt beim
Anschließen an das Stromnetz
zweimal ein Signalton und die
LED-Beleuchtung (10) leuchtet in
allen Farben einmal auf.
WASSERKOCHER
BEFÜLLEN
Den Wasserkessel (12) mit mind. 0,5Li-
tern (MIN-Markierung 11) und max.
2,0Litern (MAX-Markierung 13) befüllen.
Zu wenig Wasser führt dazu, dass sich
das Gerät vorzeitig abschaltet. Beim
Überschreiten der MAX-Markierung
könnte Wasser beim Kochen heraussprit-
zen. Zum Befüllen gibt es zwei Möglich-
keiten:
a. Den Wasserstrahl direkt auf die
Einfüllöffnung (2) richten. Durch den
Druck klappt diese automatisch nach
unten und das Wasser kann in den
Wasserkessel fließen (Bild B).
b. Den Deckel (3) abnehmen und direkt
Wasser in den Wasserkessel füllen.
Den Deckel anschließend wieder
aufsetzen. Der Deckel muss hörbar
einrasten.
BENUTZUNG
Beachten!
■Den Wasserkocher nicht ohne Wasser
oder mit weniger Wasser als bis zur
MIN-Markierung betreiben. Das Ge-
rät könnte überhitzen. In diesem Fall
schaltet sich das Gerät aus. Abkühlen
lassen, bevor es erneut befüllt und
verwendet wird!
• Den Wasserkocher auf die Basisstati-
on (9) stellen. Es ertönen zwei Signal-
töne und die LED-Beleuchtung(10)
leuchtet in allen Farben einmal auf.
• Eine der nachfolgend beschriebenen
Funktionen (Wasser kochen, Wasser
erwärmen, Warmhaltefunktion) wäh-
len. Nach Beendigung der Funktion
den Wasserkocher von der Basisstati-
on nehmen und das Wasser vorsichtig
in ein Gefäß gießen.
• Das Gerät regelmäßig wie im Kapitel
„Pflege und Entkalken“ beschrieben
reinigen.
 Alle Funktionen können jederzeit
abgebrochen werden, indem die
Taste(7) gedrückt oder der
Wasserkocher von der Basisstati-
on genommen wird.
Wasser kochen
Die Taste (7) kurz drücken. Das Gerät
schaltet sich ein und heizt das Wasser
auf 100°C auf. Die LED-Beleuchtung (10)
leuchtet dauerhaft rot.
Das Gerät schaltet automatisch ab, wenn
das Wasser gekocht hat. Es ertönen zwei
Signaltöne und die LED-Beleuchtung
erlischt.
Wasser erwärmen (nicht kochen)
Zuerst kurz die Taste(7) und gleich
danach die +Taste(6) so oft drücken,

bis die Kontrollleuchte (5) der gewünsch-
ten Temperatur leuchtet.
Die LED-Beleuchtung(10) leuchtet je
nach Temperatur in folgender Farbe:
50°C grün
70 °C dunkelblau
80°C lila
90°C hellblau
100°C rot
Das Gerät schaltet automatisch ab, wenn
das Wasser die eingestellte Temperatur
erreicht hat. Es ertönen zwei Signaltöne
und die LED-Beleuchtung erlischt.
 Erklingen drei Signaltöne und das
Gerät schaltet sich direkt wieder
ab, ist die gewählte Temperatur
niedriger oder gleich der mo-
mentan im Wasserkocher vorherr-
schenden Temperatur.
Warmhaltefunktion
Wasser erhitzen und warm halten:
• Die Taste(7) kurz drücken.
• Gleich danach mit der +Taste(6) die
gewünschte Temperatur einstellen.
Die LED-Beleuchtung (10) leuchtet in
der entsprechenden Farbe.
• Die Taste ca. 3 Sekunden lang ge-
drückt halten, bis die entsprechende
Kontrollleuchte(5) blinkt und die LED-
Beleuchtung in der entsprechenden
Farbe leuchtet.
Wenn das Wasser die eingestellte
Temperatur erreicht hat, ertönen drei
Signaltöne´und die Heizfunktion schal-
tet ab. Sobald die Wassertemperatur
um 10°C fällt, wird das Wasser wieder
erhitzt.
Solange die Warmhaltefunktion aktiviert
ist, blinkt die entsprechende Kont-
rollleuchte und die LED-Beleuchtung
leuchtet. Nach 30 Minuten (2 Signaltöne
ertönen), wenn die Taste betätigt
oder wenn der Wasserkocher von der
Basisstation genommen wird, schaltet
sich das Gerät automatisch aus.
PFLEGE UND ENTKALKEN
Beachten!
■Das Gerät regelmäßig entkalken.
■Das Gerät ist nicht spülmaschinenge-
eignet!
■Zum Reinigen keine scharfen oder
scheuernden Reinigungsmittel oder
Reinigungspads verwenden. Diese
können die Oberflächen beschädigen.
1. Den Wasserkessel(12) vollständig
entleeren.
2. Den Deckel(3) vom Wasserkocher
abnehmen.
3. Den Wasserkocher und Deckel mit
etwas mildem Spülmittel und klarem
Wasser ausspülen. Darauf achten,
dass kein Wasser in die Kontakte
auf der Unterseite des Wasserko-
chers eindringt! Den Wasserkocher
nicht ins Wasser tauchen! Dies
könnte einen Kurzschluss verursa-
chen.
4. Alles gut abtrocknen.
5. Die Basisstation (9) bei Bedarf mit
einem trockenen Tuch abwischen.
 Der Wasserkocher kann bei
Nichtgebrauch auf der Basis-
station aufbewahrt werden. In
diesem Fall den Netzstecker aus
der Steckdose ziehen, da sich der
Wasserkocher im Stand-by-Modus
befindet, solange er an das
Stromnetz angeschlossen ist.

Entkalken
Das Gerät sollte regelmäßig entkalkt
werden. Zum Entkalken einen handels-
üblichen Entkalker für Wasserkocher
verwenden.
1. Ein Gemisch aus Wasser und Entkal-
kungsmittel in den Wasserkessel (12)
füllen und die 100 °C-Kochfunktion
einschalten. Dafür die Anweisungen
in den Kapiteln „Aufstellen und An-
schließen“, „Wasserkocher befüllen“
sowie „Benutzung“ befolgen.
 Zum Verhältnis von Wasser zu
Entkalkungsmittel die Gebrauchs-
anweisung des Entkalkungsmittels
beachten.
2. Nach dem Kochen den Wasserkes-
sel entleeren. Dieses Wasser nicht
trinken.
3. Den Wasserkessel mindestens einmal
erneut mit Trinkwasser befüllen und
aufkochen lassen, um eventuelle Res-
te des Entkalkungsmittels zu entfer-
nen. Dieses Wasser nicht trinken!
Kalkfilter reinigen
1. Den Kalkfilter (1) im Inneren des Was-
serkessel (12) nach oben ziehen (Bild
C) und herausnehmen.
2. Den Kalkfilter mit warmem Wasser
und ggf. etwas Spülmittel reinigen.
3. Den Kalkfilter wieder einsetzen. Er
muss hörbar einrasten.
AUFBEWAHRUNG
• Das Gerät vom Stromnetz trennen,
wenn es längere Zeit nicht benutzt
werden soll. Das Gerät ggf. noch
einmal reinigen (siehe Kapitel „Pflege
und Entkalken“) und vollständig
trocknen lassen.
• Das Gerät und alle Zubehörteile an
einem trockenen, sauberen, frostfrei-
en Ort aufbewahren, der vor direk-
tem Sonnenlicht und dem Zugriff
durch Kinder oder Tiere geschützt ist.
PROBLEMBEHEBUNG
Sollte das Gerät nicht ordnungsgemäß
funktionieren, überprüfen, ob ein Prob-
lem selbst behoben werden kann. Lässt
sich mit den nachfolgenden Schritten
das Problem nicht lösen, den Kundenser-
vice kontaktieren.
Nicht versuchen, ein elektrisches
Gerät selbst zu reparieren!
Das Gerät funktioniert nicht.
Der Netzstecker steckt nicht richtig in
der Steckdose.
►Den Sitz des Netzsteckers korrigieren.
Die Steckdose ist defekt.
►Eine andere Steckdose ausprobieren.
Es ist keine Netzspannung vorhanden.
►Die Sicherung des Netzanschlusses
überprüfen.
Die Taste(7) wurde nicht betätigt.
►Das Gerät mit der Taste einschal-
ten.
Die Sicherung im Sicherungskasten
wird ausgelöst.
Zu viele Geräte am selben Stromkreis
angeschlossen.
►Anzahl der Geräte im Stromkreis
reduzieren.

Es läuft Wasser aus dem Gerät.
Es befindet sich zu viel Wasser im Was-
serkessel (12).
►Den Wasserkessel nicht über die
MAX-Markierung (13) befüllen!
Das Gerät schaltet nicht ab.
Die Warmhaltefunktion ist aktiviert.
►Das Gerät mit der Taste(7)
ausschalten oder von der Basisstati-
on(9) nehmen.
Der Deckel (3) ist nicht geschlossen.
►Immer darauf achten, dass der De-
ckel korrekt geschlossen ist.
Das Gerät schaltet sich während des
Kochvorgangs aus.
Die Wassermenge hat die MIN-Markie-
rung (11) unterschritten.
►Wasser bis mind. zur MIN-Markie-
rung in den Wasserkessel (12) füllen.
Beim Kochvorgang entsteht starker
Dampf.
Das Gerät ist verkalkt.
►Das Gerät entkalken.
Während des Gebrauchs lässt sich ein
unangenehmer Geruch feststellen.
Das Gerät wird zum ersten Mal verwendet.
►Eine Geruchsentwicklung tritt bei
der ersten Benutzung neuer Ge-
räte häufig auf. Der Geruch sollte
verschwinden, nachdem das Gerät
mehrmals benutzt wurde.
Das Gerät wurde zuvor entkalkt.
►Das Gerät mit klarem Wasser aus-
spülen.
ENTSORGUNG
Das Verpackungsmaterial um-
weltgerecht entsorgen und der
Wertstoffsammlung zuführen.
Dieses Gerät unterliegt der euro-
päischen Richtlinie 2012/19/EU für
Elektro- und Elektronik-Altgeräte
(WEEE). Dieses Gerät nicht als
normalen Hausmüll, sondern um-
weltgerecht über einen behördlich
zugelassenen Entsorgungsbetrieb
entsorgen.

integral part of the device. The manufacturer and importer do not accept any liability if
the information in these operating instructions is not complied with.

SAFETY NOTICES
WARNING: Note all safety notices, instructions, illustra-
tions and technical data provided with this device. Failure
to follow the safety notices and instructions may result in
electric shock, fire and / or injuries.
■This device may be used by children aged 8 and over and by
people with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or a
lack of experience and/or knowledge if they are supervised or
have received instruction on how to use the device safely and
have understood the dangers resulting from failure to comply
with the relevant safety precautions.
■Children must not play with the device.
■Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by
children, unless they are older than 8 years of age and are
supervised.
■Children younger than 8 years of age and animals must be
kept away from the device and the connecting cable.
CAUTION: HOT SURFACES!
The kettle will get very hot during use. Do not come into
contact with heated parts while or after using the kettle!
Only ever touch the handle and the control panel when
the kettle is in operation or contains hot water.
■Never exceed the maximum fill level (note the MAX marking).
If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water could escape from the
pouring spout.
■The device is not designed to be operated with an external
timer or a separate remote control system.
■Never immerse the kettle, the base station and the connecting
cable in water or other liquids and ensure that these compo-
nents cannot fall into water or become wet.
■The base station must always be disconnected from the mains
power when left unattended and before cleaning it.
■Use the kettle only with the base station provided. Do not use
the base station with other devices.

■Do not make any modifications to the device. Do not replace
the connecting cable yourself. If the kettle, the base station or
the connecting cable are damaged, they must be replaced or
repaired by the manufacturer, customer service department or
an authorised distributor in order to avoid any hazards.
■It is essential to follow the instructions in the “Care and Des-
caling” chapter.
DANGER – Danger of Electric
Shock
■Use the device only in closed rooms.
■Do not use the device in rooms with
high humidity.
■If the base station does fall into water,
switch off the power supply immedi-
ately. Do not attempt to pull it out of
the water while it is connected to the
mains power!
■Never touch the base station and
the connecting cable with wet hands
when the base station is connected to
the mains power.
■Take the kettle off the base station to
fill it, pour water or clean it. Make sure
that no water gets into the contacts
on the bottom of the kettle.
■Make sure that the steam which
emerges does not come into contact
with electrical devices and equipment
containing electrical components.
WARNING – Danger of Injury
■Keep children and animals away from
the packaging material. There is a
danger of suffocation.
Danger of scalding from heat, hot steam
or condensation!
■Avoid coming into contact with
the steam rising from the pouring
spout. Do not open the lid during
the boiling process. Allow the
device to cool down before filling
it again!
■Pour out boiling water slowly
and carefully without tipping the
device too quickly.
■Do not move the device during
the brewing process.
■Make sure that the connecting cable
does not present a trip hazard. The
mains cable may not hang down from
the surface on which the device is
placed in order to prevent the device
from being pulled down.
■Make sure that the connecting cable
is kept out of the reach of small chil-
dren and animals. There is a danger of
strangulation!
WARNING – Danger of Fire
■Do not use the device in rooms con-
taining easily ignitable or explosive
substances.
■Do not connect the device along with
other consumers (with a high wattage)
to a multiple socket in order to pre-
vent overloading and a possible short
circuit (fire).
■Do not use the device in conjunction
with extension cables.
■Do not operate the device in the vi-
cinity of combustible material. Do not
place any combustible materials (e.g.
cardboard, paper, wood, plastic) in or
on the device.
■Do not cover the device during oper-
ation.

NOTICE – Risk of Damage to
Material and Property
■Switch off the device and pull the
mains plug out of the plug socket if
an error occurs during operation or
before a thunderstorm. When you pull
the mains plug out of the plug socket,
always pull on the mains plug and
never the mains cable!
■Never pull or carry the device by the
connecting cable.
■Protect the device from other heat
sources, naked flames, sub-zero tem-
peratures and impacts. Also protect
the base station from persistent mois-
ture and wet conditions.
■Allow the kettle to cool down before
it is filled with cold water to prevent
glass breakage.
■Never place heavy objects on the
base station or the connecting cable.
■Use only original accessories from the
manufacturer in order to guarantee
that there is no interference that may
prevent the device from working and
to avoid possible damage.
BEFORE INITIAL USE
1. Clean the device as described in the
“Care and Descaling” chapter.
2. To remove any possible production
residues, fill the kettle up to the MAX
marking (13) with drinking water
before you first use it and switch on
the 100°C boil function. To do this,
follow the instructions in the following
chapters.
3. Perform this process twice. Do not
drink this water!
SET-UP AND CONNECTION
Please Note!
■Only connect the base station to a
plug socket that is properly installed.
The mains voltage must be the same
as that stated in the technical data for
the base station.
■Do not place the device below kitch-
en wall units or similar cupboards. The
rising steam could cause damage to
them!
■Lay the connecting cable in such a
way that it is not squashed or bent
and does not come into contact with
hot surfaces (also applies to the hot
surfaces of the device!).
1. Unwind the connecting cable on the
bottom of the base station (9) to the
length you want and place it in the
slot which is provided for it on the
edge.
2. Always set up the device with a clear
space at the sides (at least 20 cm) and
clear space above it (at least 30 cm)
on the kitchen worktop or another
flat, solid and heat-resistant surface
that is resistant to splashing.
3. Plug the mains plug into a properly
installed plug socket. The plug socket
must be readily accessible so that the
connection to the mains can quickly
be isolated.
 If the kettle (12) is on the base
station, you will hear two beeps
and the LED lighting (10) will light
up once in all colours when it is
connected to the mains power.

FILLING THE KETTLE
Fill the kettle (12) with at least 0.5 litres
(MIN marking 11) and no more than
2.0litres (MAX marking 13). Insufficient
water will cause the device to switch
off prematurely. If the MAX marking is
exceeded, water could splash out during
the boiling process. There are two possi-
ble ways to fill the kettle:
a. Point the water jet directly at the filler
opening (2). The pressure will automat-
ically flip it down and the water can
then flow into the kettle (Picture B).
b. Take off the lid (3) and pour water into
the kettle directly. Then place the lid
back on. The lid must be heard to
engage.
USE
Please Note!
■Do not operate the kettle without wa-
ter or with less water than is required
to reach the MIN marking. The device
could overheat. In this case, the de-
vice switches off. Allow it to cool down
before it is filled and used again!
• Place the kettle (12) on the base sta-
tion (9). You will hear two beeps and
the LED lighting(10) will light up once
in all colours.
• Choose one of the functions de-
scribed below (boil water, heat up
water, keep-warm function). After the
end of the function, take the kettle off
the base station and carefully pour the
water into a vessel.
• Clean the device regularly as de-
scribed in the “Care and Descaling”
chapter.
 All functions can be cancelled at
any time by pressing the but-
ton(7) or taking the kettle off the
base station.
Boiling Water
Press the button (7) briefly. The device
switches on and heats the water up to
100°C. The LED lighting (10) lights up
constantly red.
The device switches off automatically
when the water has boiled. You will hear
two beeps and the LED lighting goes out.
Heating Up (Not Boiling) Water
First press the button(7) briefly and
immediately afterwards then press the
+button(6) until the control lamp (5) of
the temperature you want is lit up.
Depending on the temperature, the LED
lighting(10) is lit in the following colour:
50°C green
70°C dark blue
80°C purple
90°C light blue
100°C red
The device switches off automatically
when the water has reached the set tem-
perature. You will hear two beeps and the
LED lighting goes out.
 If you hear three beeps and the
device switches off again directly,
the chosen temperature is lower
 or equal to the temperature cur-
rently prevailing in the kettle.
Keep-Warm Function
Heating water and keeping it warm:
• Press the button (7) briefly.
• Then immediately press the +but-
ton(6) to set the temperature you
want. The LED lighting (10) lights up
in the corresponding colour.
• Keep the button pressed for ap-
prox. 3 seconds until the appropriate
control lamp(5) flashes and the LED
lighting lights up in the corresponding
colour.

Once the water has reached the set tem-
perature, three beeps are heard and the
heating function switches off. As soon as
the water temperature drops by 10°C, the
water is heated again.
As long as the keep-warm function is
activated, the corresponding control
lamp flashes and the LED lighting lights
up. After 30 minutes (2 beeps are heard),
when the button is pressed or when
the kettle is taken off the base station,
the device switches off automatically.
CARE AND DESCALING
Please Note!
■Regularly descale the device.
■The device is not dishwasher-safe!
■Do not use any sharp or abrasive
cleaning agents or cleaning pads to
clean the device. These may damage
the surfaces.
1. Completely empty the kettle(12).
2. Take the lid(3) off the kettle.
3. Rinse out the kettle and the lid with a
little mild detergent and clear water.
Make sure that no water gets into
the contacts on the bottom of the
kettle! Do not immerse the kettle
in water! This could cause a short
circuit.
4. Dry everything thoroughly.
5. Wipe down the base station (9) with a
dry cloth if necessary.
 The kettle can be stored on the
base station when it is not being
used. In this case, pull the mains
plug from the plug socket as the
kettle is in stand-by mode while it
is connected to the mains power.
Descaling
The device should regularly be descaled.
Use a standard descaling agent for kettles
for descaling.
1. Pour a mixture of water and descaling
agent into the kettle (12) and switch
on the 100°C boil function. To do this,
follow the instructions in the “Set-Up
and Connection”, “Filling the Kettle”
and “Use” chapters.
 Consult the instructions for using
the descaling agent with regard
to the ratio of water to descaling
agent.
2. Empty the kettle after boiling. Do not
drink this water.
3. Fill the kettle with drinking water and
bring it to the boil at least once more
to remove any residues of the descal-
ing agent. Do not drink this water!
Cleaning the Limescale Filter
1. Pull the limescale filter (1) inside the
kettle (12) up (Picture C) and take it out.
2. Clean the limescale filter with warm wa-
ter and a little detergent if necessary.
3. Reinsert the limescale filter. It must
engage audibly.
STORAGE
• Disconnect the device from the mains
power when it is not going to be used
for a prolonged period. Clean the de-
vice again if necessary (see the “Care
and Descaling” chapter) and let it dry
completely.
• Store the device and all accessories in
a dry, clean, frost-free place that is pro-
tected from direct sunlight and cannot
be accessed by children or animals.

TROUBLESHOOTING
If the device does not work properly,
check whether you are able to rectify the
problem yourself. If the problem cannot
be solved with the steps below, contact
the customer service department.
Do not attempt to repair an elec-
trical device yourself!
The device does not work.
The mains plug is not inserted in the plug
socket correctly.
►Correct the fit of the mains plug.
The plug socket is defective.
►Try another plug socket.
There is no mains voltage.
►Check the fuse of the mains connec-
tion.
The button(7) has not been pressed.
►Switch on the device with the but-
ton.
The fuse in the fuse box is triggered.
Too many devices connected to the same
circuit.
►Reduce the number of devices in the
circuit.
Water runs out of the device.
There is too much water in the kettle (12).
►Do not fill the kettle beyond the MAX
marking (13)!
The device does not switch off.
The keep-warm function is activated.
►Switch off the device with the
button(7) or take it off the base
station(9).
The lid (3) is not closed.
►Always make sure that the lid is
closed correctly.
The device switches off during the
boiling process.
The amount of water is below the MIN
marking (11).
►Pour water at least up to the MIN
marking in the kettle (12).
A large amount of steam is produced
in the boiling process.
The device is furred up.
►Descale the device.
During use, an unpleasant smell is
detected.
The device is being used for the first time.
►A smell often develops when new de-
vices are first used. The smell should
disappear once the device has been
used several times.
The device has previously been descaled.
►Rinse out the device with clear water.
DISPOSAL
Dispose of the packaging material
in an environmentally friendly man-
ner so that it can be recycled.

dispose of this device as normal
