GEBRAUCH
■Das Gerät darf nur zum Erhitzen von
Wasser verwendet werden, nicht
zum Erhitzen von Milch oder ande-
ren Flüssigkeiten. Das Gerät nicht
verwenden, um darin Tee oder Kaffee
zuzubereiten.
■Das Gerät ist ausschließlich für den
privaten Gebrauch geeignet, nicht für
eine gewerbliche oder haushaltsähn-
liche Nutzung z.B. in Hotels, Früh-
stückspensionen, Büros, Mitarbeiter-
küchen o.Ä.
■Das Gerät nur für den angegebenen
Zweck und nur wie in der Gebrauchs-
anleitung beschrieben nutzen. Jede
weitere Verwendung gilt als bestim-
mungswidrig.
■Von der Gewährleistung ausge-
schlossen sind alle Mängel, die durch
unsachgemäße Behandlung, Beschä-
digung, Verkalkung oder Reparatur-
versuche entstehen. Dies gilt auch für
den normalen Verschleiß.

dener Teesorten ist die Temperatur in 4 Stufen von 40 °C – 100 °C bequem per
Touch-Bedienfeld einstellbar – ideal auch zum Erwärmen von Babynahrung & Co.

WARNUNG: Alle Sicherheitshinweise, Anweisungen, Bebil-
derungen und technischen Daten, mit denen dieses Gerät
versehen ist, beachten. Versäumnisse bei der Einhaltung
der Sicherheitshinweise und Anweisungen können elektri-
schen Schlag, Brand und/oder Verletzungen verursachen.
■Dieses Gerät kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren sowie von Perso-
nen mit reduzierten physischen, sensorischen oder mentalen
Fähigkeiten oder Mangel an Erfahrung und/oder Wissen
benutzt werden, wenn sie beaufsichtigt oder bezüglich des
sicheren Gebrauchs des Gerätes unterwiesen wurden und die
daraus resultierenden Gefahren verstanden haben.
■Kinder dürfen nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.
■Reinigung und Benutzer-Wartung dürfen nicht durch Kinder

des Wasser aus der Ausgusstülle austreten.
■Das Gerät ist nicht dazu bestimmt, mit einer externen Zeit-
schaltuhr oder einem separaten Fernwirksystem betrieben zu
werden.
■Den Wasserkocher, die Basisstation und die Anschlussleitung
niemals in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten eintauchen und
sicherstellen, dass diese nicht ins Wasser fallen oder nass wer-
den können.
■Die Basisstation ist bei nicht vorhandener Aufsicht und vor
dem Reinigen stets vom Netz zu trennen.
■Den Wasserkocher nur mit der mitgelieferten Basisstation ver-
wenden. Die Basisstation nicht mit anderen Geräten benutzen.

■Keine Veränderungen am Gerät vornehmen. Die Anschluss-
leitung nicht selbst austauschen. Wenn der Wasserkocher, die
Basisstation oder die Anschlussleitung beschädigt sind, müs-
sen diese durch den Hersteller, Kundenservice oder autorisier-
te Fachhändler ersetzt bzw. repariert werden, um Gefährdun-
gen zu vermeiden.
■Unbedingt die Hinweise im Kapitel „Pflege und Entkalken“
beachten.
GEFAHR – Stromschlaggefahr
■Das Gerät nur in geschlossenen Räu-
men verwenden.
■Das Gerät nicht in Räumen mit hoher
Luftfeuchtigkeit verwenden.
■Sollte die Basisstation ins Wasser fal-
len, sofort die Stromzufuhr unterbre-
chen. Nicht versuchen, sie aus dem
Wasser zu ziehen, während sie an das
Stromnetz angeschlossen ist!
■Die Basisstation und die Anschluss-
leitung niemals mit feuchten Händen
berühren, wenn die Basisstation an
das Stromnetz angeschlossen ist.
■Den Wasserkessel zum Befüllen,
Ausgießen oder Reinigen von der
Basisstation nehmen. Darauf achten,
dass kein Wasser in die Kontakte auf
der Unterseite des Wasserkessels
eindringt.
■Darauf achten, dass der austretende
Dampf nicht in Kontakt mit elektri-
schen Geräten und Einrichtungen,
die elektrische Bauteile enthalten,
kommt.
WARNUNG – Verletzungs-
gefahr
■Kinder und Tiere vom Verpackungs-
material fernhalten. Es besteht Ersti-
ckungsgefahr.
Verbrühungsgefahr durch Hitze, heißen
Dampf oder Kondenswasser!
■Kontakt mit dem aufsteigenden
Dampf aus der Ausgusstülle
vermeiden. Den Deckel nicht wäh-
rend des Heizvorgangs öffnen.
Das Gerät vor erneutem Befüllen
abkühlen lassen!
■Die Edelstahl-Innenauskleidung
wird während der Benutzung
heiß. Nach der Benutzung nicht
in den Wasserkessel oder an die
Ausgusstülle greifen.
■Kochendes Wasser langsam und
vorsichtig ausgießen, ohne dass
das Gerät zu schnell gekippt wird.
■Das Gerät während des Brühvor-
ganges nicht bewegen.
■Darauf achten, dass die Anschluss-
leitung keine Stolpergefahr darstellt.
Das Netzkabel darf nicht von der
Aufstellfläche herabhängen, um
ein Herunterreißen des Gerätes zu
verhindern.

WARNUNG – Brandgefahr
■Das Gerät nicht in Räumen benutzen,
in denen sich leichtentzündliche oder
explosive Substanzen befinden.
■Das Gerät nicht zusammen mit ande-
ren Verbrauchern (mit hoher Watt-
leistung) an eine Mehrfachsteckdose
anschließen, um eine Überlastung
und ggf. einen Kurzschluss (Brand) zu
vermeiden.
■Das Gerät nicht in Verbindung mit
Verlängerungskabeln nutzen.
■Das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von
brennbarem Material betreiben.
Keine brennbaren Materialien (z.B.
Pappe, Papier, Holz, Kunststoff) in
oder auf das Gerät legen.
■Das Gerät während des Betriebes
nicht abdecken.
HINWEIS – Risiko von Material- und
Sachschäden
■Das Gerät ausschalten und den Netz-
stecker aus der Steckdose ziehen,
wenn während des Betriebes ein Feh-
ler auftritt oder vor einem Gewitter.
Beim Herausziehen aus der Steckdo-
se immer am Netzstecker und nie am
Netzkabel ziehen!
■Das Gerät niemals an der Anschluss-
leitung ziehen oder tragen.
■Das Gerät vor anderen Wärme-
quellen, offenem Feuer, Minustem-
peraturen und Stößen schützen.
Die Basisstation zusätzlich vor lang
anhaltender Feuchtigkeit und Nässe
schützen.
■Niemals schwere Gegenstände auf
die Basisstation oder die Anschluss-
leitung stellen.
■Nur Original-Zubehörteile des Her-
stellers verwenden, um die Funkti-
onsweise des Gerätes nicht zu beein-
trächtigen und eventuelle Schäden zu
verhindern.
VOR DEM ERSTEN
GEBRAUCH
1. Das Gerät wie im Kapitel „Pflege und
Entkalken“ beschrieben, reinigen.
2. Um eventuelle Produktionsrückstän-
de zu beseitigen, den Wasserkocher
vor dem ersten Gebrauch bis zur
MAX-Markierung (7) mit Trinkwasser
füllen und einschalten. Dafür die An-
weisungen in den folgenden Kapiteln
befolgen.
3. Diesen Vorgang zweimal durchführen.
Dieses Wasser nicht trinken!
FUNKTIONEN
Temperaturstufen
Das Gerät verfügt über vier verschiedene
Temperaturstufen:
40°C – z.B. für Babynahrung
60 °C – z.B.für grünen Tee
90 °C – z.B. für Früchtetee
100 °C – kochendes Wasser; z.B. für
schwarzen Tee, Kräutertee,
Kaffee
Diese werden mithilfe der Felder +(12)
und –(13) eingestellt. Die aktuell aus-
gewählte Gradzahl blinkt in der Tempe-
raturstufen-Anzeige(8) und erscheint
zusätzlich in der Temperaturanzeige (9).
Sobald der Heizvorgang gestartet wird,
leuchtet die eingestellte Temperaturstu-
fe dauerhaft und die anderen erlöschen.
Die Temperaturanzeige wechselt zur
aktuellen Temperatur des Wassers.

Warmhaltefunktion
Das Gerät verfügt über eine Warmhalte-
funktion. Diese wird über das Feld KEEP
WARM (15) aktiviert. Ist die Warmhalte-
funktion aktiv, blinkt nach dem Heizvor-
gang die eingestellte Temperaturstufe
in der entsprechenden Anzeige (8) im
Display (4).
Nach 30 Minuten, wenn das Feld
START/CANCEL (14) betätigt oder wenn
der Wasserkocher von der Basisstation
genommen wird, schaltet sich das Gerät
automatisch aus.
AUFSTELLEN UND
ANSCHLIEßEN
Beachten!
■Die Basisstation nur an eine vor-
schriftsmäßig installierte Steckdose
anschließen. Die Netzspannung muss
mit den technischen Daten der Basis-
station übereinstimmen.
■Das Gerät nicht unter Küchenober-
schränke o.Ä. stellen. Durch den
aufsteigenden Dampf könnten diese
Schaden nehmen!
■Die Anschlussleitung so verlegen,
dass sie nicht gequetscht oder
geknickt wird und nicht mit heißen
Flächen in Berührung kommt.
1. Die Anschlussleitung auf der Un-
terseite der Basisstation (6) auf die
gewünschte Länge abwickeln und in
die dafür vorgesehene Aussparung
am Rand legen.
2. Das Gerät immer mit einem Freiraum
zu den Seiten (mind. 20 cm) und nach
oben (mind. 30 cm) auf die Küchen-
arbeitsplatte oder einen anderen
ebenen, festen, wärmebeständigen
und gegen Wasserspritzer unemp-
findlichen Untergrund stellen.
3. Den Netzstecker in eine vorschrifts-
mäßig installierte Steckdose stecken.
Die Steckdose muss gut zugänglich
sein, damit die Netzverbindung
schnell getrennt werden kann.
BENUTZUNG
Beachten!
■Vor jedem Heizvorgang sicherstel-
len, dass der Ein-/Ausschalter nicht
blockiert wird. Der Wasserkocher
schaltet sich nur automatisch nach
Beendigung des Heizvorganges aus,
wenn der Ein-/Ausschalter nicht
blockiert wird.
■Den Wasserkocher nicht ohne Wasser
oder mit weniger Wasser als bis zur
MIN-Markierung betreiben. Das Ge-
rät könnte überhitzen. In diesem Fall
schaltet sich das Gerät aus. Abkühlen
lassen, bevor es erneut befüllt und
verwendet wird!
1. Den Deckelöffner(2) drücken, um
den Deckel(1) aufzuklappen.
2. Den Wasserkessel (10) mit mind.
0,5Litern (MIN-Markierung 7) und
max. 1,7Litern (MAX-Markierung 7)
befüllen. Zu wenig Wasser führt dazu,
dass sich das Gerät vorzeitig abschal-
tet. Beim Überschreiten der MAX-
Markierung könnte Wasser beim
Kochen herausspritzen.
3. Den Deckel zuklappen. Er muss
einrasten.
4. Den Wasserkessel auf die Basisstati-
on(6) stellen.
5. Das Feld START/CANCEL (14)
berühren. Ein Signalton erklingt und
die Temperaturstufen (8) sowie die
aktuelle Temperatur (9) des Wassers
erscheinen im Display (4).

6. Die gewünschte Temperaturstufe ein-
stellen (siehe „Funktionen“ – „Tem-
peraturstufen“) und den Heizvorgang
über das Feld START/ CANCEL
starten.
Beachten: Soll das Wasser nach dem
Heizvorgang auf der eingestellten
Temperatur gehalten werden, den
Heizvorgang über das Feld KEEP
WARM (15) starten (siehe „Funktio-
nen“ – „Warmhaltefunkion“).
 Der Heizvorgang kann jederzeit
über das Feld START/CANCEL
oder indem der Wasserkessel von
der Basisstation genommen wird,
abgebrochen werden.
7. Sobald das Wasser die eingestellte
Temperatur erreicht hat, erklingen
drei Signaltöne und das Gerät schal-
tet automatisch ab bzw. wechselt zur
Warmhaltefunktion.
8. Den Wasserkessel von der Basisstati-
on nehmen und das Wasser vorsichtig
in ein Gefäß gießen.
PFLEGE UND ENTKALKEN
Beachten!
■Das Gerät regelmäßig entkalken.
■Das Gerät ist nicht spülmaschinenge-
eignet!
■Zum Reinigen keine scharfen oder
scheuernden Reinigungsmittel oder
Reinigungspads verwenden. Diese
können die Oberflächen beschädigen.
1. Den Wasserkessel(10) vollständig
entleeren.
2. Den Wasserkessel mit etwas mil-
dem Spülmittel und klarem Wasser
ausspülen. Darauf achten, dass kein
Wasser in die Kontakte auf der
Unterseite des Wasserkessels ein-
dringt! Den Wasserkessel nicht ins
Wasser tauchen! Dies könnte einen
Kurzschluss verursachen.
3. Alles gut abtrocknen.
4. Die Basisstation (6) bei Bedarf mit
einem trockenen Tuch abwischen.
 Der Wasserkessel kann bei Nicht-
gebrauch auf der Basisstation
aufbewahrt werden.
Entkalken
Das Gerät sollte regelmäßig entkalkt
werden. Zum Entkalken einen handels-
üblichen Entkalker für Wasserkocher
verwenden.
1. Ein Gemisch aus Wasser und Entkal-
kungsmittel in den Wasserkessel(10)
füllen und das Wasser auf 100 °C er-
hitzen. Dafür die Anweisungen in den
Kapiteln „Aufstellen und Anschlie-
ßen“ sowie „Benutzung“ befolgen.
 Zum Verhältnis von Wasser zu
Entkalkungsmittel die Gebrauchs-
anweisung des Entkalkungsmittels
beachten.
2. Nach dem Erhitzen den Wasserkessel
entleeren. Dieses Wasser nicht trinken.
3. Den Wasserkessel mindestens einmal
erneut mit Trinkwasser befüllen und
aufkochen lassen, um eventuelle Res-
te des Entkalkungsmittels zu entfer-
nen. Dieses Wasser nicht trinken!
AUFBEWAHRUNG
• Das Gerät vom Stromnetz trennen,
wenn es längere Zeit nicht benutzt
werden soll. Das Gerät ggf. noch
einmal reinigen (siehe Kapitel „Pflege
und Entkalken“) und vollständig
trocknen lassen.
• Das Gerät und alle Zubehörteile an
einem trockenen, sauberen, frostfrei-
en Ort aufbewahren, der vor direk-
tem Sonnenlicht und dem Zugriff
durch Kinder oder Tiere geschützt ist.

PROBLEMBEHEBUNG
Sollte das Gerät nicht ordnungsgemäß
funktionieren, überprüfen, ob ein Prob-
lem selbst behoben werden kann. Lässt
sich mit den nachfolgenden Schritten
das Problem nicht lösen, den Kundenser-
vice kontaktieren.
Nicht versuchen, ein elektrisches
Gerät selbst zu reparieren!
Das Gerät funktioniert nicht.
Der Netzstecker steckt nicht richtig in
der Steckdose.
►Den Sitz des Netzsteckers korrigieren.
Die Steckdose ist defekt.
►Eine andere Steckdose ausprobieren.
Es ist keine Netzspannung vorhanden.
►Die Sicherung des Netzanschlusses
überprüfen.
Das Feld START/CANCEL(14) wurde
nicht berührt.
►Das Gerät durch Antippen des Fel-
des START/CANCEL einschalten.
Die Sicherung im Sicherungskasten
wird ausgelöst.
Zu viele Geräte am selben Stromkreis
angeschlossen.
►Anzahl der Geräte im Stromkreis
reduzieren.
Es läuft Wasser aus dem Gerät.
Es befindet sich zu viel Wasser im
Wasserkessel (10).
►Den Wasserkessel nicht über die
MAX-Markierung (7) befüllen!
Das Gerät schaltet nicht ab.
Der Deckel (1) ist nicht geschlossen.
►Immer darauf achten, dass der De-
ckel korrekt geschlossen ist.
Das Gerät schaltet sich während des
Heizvorgangs ab.
Die Wassermenge hat die MIN-Markie-
rung (7) unterschritten.
►Wasser bis mind. zur MIN-Markie-
rung in den Wasserkessel (10) füllen.
Beim Heizvorgang entsteht starker
Dampf.
Das Gerät ist verkalkt.
►Das Gerät entkalken.
Während des Gebrauchs lässt sich ein
unangenehmer Geruch feststellen.
Das Gerät wird zum ersten Mal verwendet.
►Eine Geruchsentwicklung tritt bei
der ersten Benutzung neuer Ge-
räte häufig auf. Der Geruch sollte
verschwinden, nachdem das Gerät
mehrmals benutzt wurde.
Das Gerät wurde zuvor entkalkt.
►Das Gerät mit klarem Wasser aus-
spülen.
ENTSORGUNG
Das Verpackungsmaterial um-
weltgerecht entsorgen und der
Wertstoffsammlung zuführen.
Dieses Gerät unterliegt der euro-
päischen Richtlinie 2012/19/EU für
Elektro- und Elektronik-Altgeräte
(WEEE). Dieses Gerät nicht als
normalen Hausmüll, sondern um-
weltgerecht über einen behördlich
zugelassenen Entsorgungsbetrieb
entsorgen.

DANGER – Danger of Electric
Shock
■Use the device only in closed rooms.
■Do not use the device in rooms with
high humidity.
■If the base station does fall into water,
switch off the power supply immedi-
ately. Do not attempt to pull it out of
the water while it is connected to the
mains power!
■Never touch the base station and
the connecting cable with wet hands
when the base station is connected to
the mains power.
■Take the kettle off the base station to
fill it, pour water or clean it. Make sure
that no water gets into the contacts
on the bottom of the kettle.
■Make sure that the steam which
emerges does not come into contact
with electrical devices and equipment
containing electrical components.
WARNING – Danger of Injury
■Keep children and animals away from
the packaging material. There is a
danger of suffocation.
Danger of scalding from heat, hot steam
or condensation!
■Avoid coming into contact with
the steam rising from the pouring
spout. Do not open the lid during
the heating process. Allow the
device to cool down before filling
it again!
■The stainless steel inner lining gets
hot during use. Do not reach into
the kettle or touch the pouring
spout after use.
■Pour out boiling water slowly
and carefully without tipping the
device too quickly.
■Do not move the device during
the brewing process.
■Make sure that the connecting cable
does not present a trip hazard. The
mains cable may not hang down from
the surface on which the device is
placed in order to prevent the device
from being pulled down.
WARNING – Danger of Fire
■Do not use the device in rooms con-
taining easily ignitable or explosive
substances.
■Do not connect the device along with
other consumers (with a high wattage)
to a multiple socket in order to pre-
vent overloading and a possible short
circuit (fire).
■Do not use the device in conjunction
with extension cables.
■Do not operate the device in the vi-
cinity of combustible material. Do not
place any combustible materials (e.g.
cardboard, paper, wood, plastic) in or
on the device.
■Do not cover the device during oper-
ation.
NOTICE – Risk of Damage to
Material and Property
■Switch off the device and pull the
mains plug out of the plug socket if
an error occurs during operation or
before a thunderstorm. When you pull
the mains plug out of the plug socket,
always pull on the mains plug and
never the mains cable!
■Never pull or carry the device by the
connecting cable.
■Protect the device from other heat
sources, naked flames, sub-zero tem-
peratures and impacts. Also protect
the base station from persistent mois-
ture and wet conditions.
■Never place heavy objects on the
base station or the connecting cable.

■Use only original accessories from the
manufacturer in order to guarantee
that there is no interference that may
prevent the device from working and
to avoid possible damage.
BEFORE INITIAL USE
1. Clean the device as described in the
“Care and Descaling” chapter.
2. To remove any possible production
residues, fill the kettle up to the MAX
marking (7) with drinking water before
you first use it and switch it on. To
do this, follow the instructions in the
following chapters.
3. Perform this process twice. Do not
drink this water!
FUNCTIONS
Temperature Levels
The device has four different temperature
levels:
40°C – e.g. for baby food
60°C – e.g. for green tea
90°C – e.g. for fruit tea
100°C – boiling water; e.g. for black tea,
herbal tea, coffee
They are set using the fields +(12) and
–(13). The number of degrees currently
selected flashes on the temperature level
indicator(8) and also appears on the tem-
perature display (9). As soon as the heat-
ing process is started, the set temperature
level lights up constantly and the others
go out. The temperature display switches
to the current temperature of the water.
Keep-Warm Function
The device has a keep-warm function. This
is activated via the field KEEP WARM(15).
When the keep-warm function is active,
after the heating process the set temper-
ature level flashes in the corresponding
indicator (8) on the display(4).
After 30 minutes, when the field
START/CANCEL (14) is pressed or when
the kettle is taken off the base station,
the device switches off automatically.
SET-UP AND CONNECTiON
Please Note!
■Only connect the base station to a
plug socket that is properly installed.
The mains voltage must be the same
as that stated in the technical data for
the base station.
■Do not place the device below kitch-
en wall units or similar cupboards. The
rising steam could cause damage to
them!
■Lay the connecting cable in such
a way that it does not become
squashed or bent and does not come
into contact with hot surfaces.
1. Unwind the connecting cable on the
bottom of the base station (6) to the
length you want and place it in the
slot which is provided for it on the
edge.
2. Always set up the device with a clear
space at the sides (at least 20 cm) and
clear space above it (at least 30 cm)
on the kitchen worktop or another
flat, solid and heat-resistant surface
that is resistant to splashing.
3. Plug the mains plug into a properly
installed plug socket. The plug socket
must be readily accessible so that the
connection to the mains can quickly
be isolated.

USE
Please Note!
■Before each heating process, ensure
that the On/Off switch is not blocked.
The kettle only switches off automat-
ically after the end of the heating
process if the On/ Off switch is not
blocked.
■Do not operate the kettle without
water or with less water than is re-
quired to reach the MIN marking. The
device could overheat. In this case,
the device switches off. Allow it to
cool down before it is filled and used
again!
1. Press the lid opener(2) to open up
the lid (1).
2. Fill the kettle (10) with at least 0.5
litres (MIN marking 7) and no more
than 1.7 litres (MAX marking 7).
Insufficient water will cause the device
to switch off prematurely. If the MAX
marking is exceeded, water could
splash out during the boiling process.
3. Flip the lid shut. It must engage.
4. Place the kettle on the base station(6).
5. Touch the field START/CANCEL (14).
A beep is heard and the temperature
levels (8) and the current tempera-
ture(9) of the water appear on the
display(4).
6. Set the temperature level you want
(see “Functions” – “Temperature
Levels”) and start the heating process
via the field START/CANCEL.
Please Note: If the water is to be
kept at the set temperature after the
heating process, start the heating
process via the field KEEP WARM(15)
(see “Functions” – “Keep-Warm
Function”).
 The heating process can be
cancelled at any time via the field
START/CANCEL or by taking the
kettle off the base station.
7. As soon as the water has reached the
set temperature, you will hear three
beeps and the device automatically
switches off or switches to the keep-
warm function.
8. Take the kettle off the base station
and carefully pour the water into a
vessel.
CARE AND DESCALING
Please Note!
■Regularly descale the device.
■The device is not dishwasher-safe!
■Do not use any sharp or abrasive
cleaning agents or cleaning pads to
clean the device. These may damage
the surfaces.
1. Completely empty the kettle(10).
2. Rinse out the kettle with a little mild
detergent and clear water. Make sure
that no water gets into the contacts
on the bottom of the kettle! Do not
immerse the kettle in water! This
could cause a short circuit.
3. Dry everything thoroughly.
4. Wipe down the base station (6) with a
dry cloth if necessary.
 The kettle can be stored on the
base station when it is not being
used.
Descaling
The device should regularly be descaled.
Use a standard descaling agent for kettles
for descaling.
1. Pour a mixture of water and descaling
agent into the kettle (10) and heat the
water to 100 °C. To do this, follow the
instructions in the “Set-Up and Con-
nection” and “Use” chapters.

 Consult the instructions for using
the descaling agent with regard
to the ratio of water to descaling
agent.
2. Empty the kettle after heating. Do not
drink this water.
3. Fill the kettle with drinking water and
bring it to the boil at least once more
to remove any residues of the descal-
ing agent. Do not drink this water!
STORAGE
• Disconnect the device from the mains
power when it is not going to be used
for a prolonged period. Clean the de-
vice again if necessary (see the “Care
and Descaling” chapter) and let it dry
completely.
• Store the device and all accessories
in a dry, clean, frost-free place that
is protected from direct sunlight and
cannot be accessed by children or
animals.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the device does not work properly,
check whether you are able to rectify the
problem yourself. If the problem cannot
be solved with the steps below, contact
the customer service department.
Do not attempt to repair an elec-
trical device yourself!
The device does not work.
The mains plug is not inserted in the plug
socket correctly.
►Correct the fit of the mains plug.
The plug socket is defective.
►Try another plug socket.
There is no mains voltage.
►Check the fuse of the mains connec-
tion.
The field START/CANCEL(14) has not
been touched.
►Switch on the device by tapping the
field START/CANCEL .
The fuse in the fuse box is triggered.
Too many devices connected to the same
circuit.
►Reduce the number of devices in the
circuit.
Water runs out of the device.
There is too much water in the kettle (10).
►Do not fill the kettle beyond the
MAXmarking (7)!
The device does not switch off.
The lid (1) is not closed.
►Always make sure that the lid is
closed correctly.
The device switches off during the
heating process.
The amount of water is below the
MINmarking (7).
►Pour water at least up to the
MINmarking in the kettle (10).
A large amount of steam is produced
in the heating process.
The device is furred up.
►Descale the device.
During use, an unpleasant smell is
detected.
The device is being used for the first time.
►A smell often develops when new de-
vices are first used. The smell should
disappear once the device has been
used several times.
The device has previously been descaled.
►Rinse out the device with clear water.
