your veterinary care provider that you will be using the app, they will create a
code for you and you will receive that code via text message. Please use your
phone number and code to login to the app and follow the instructions.
3.1.Treatment Instructions
3.1.1.Treatment technique
Prior to using the Luma, watch the treatment overview video included in the
app or on the MedcoVet website. Make sure that the comb is gently
massaged into the fur and sits flush against the area to be treated, so that the
light exiting the comb reaches the skin. Also, be sure to apply slight pressure
with the comb to improve penetration depth.
For treatment areas larger than the device spot size, divide the treatment
area into sections and treat each section separately. Choose sections that do
not overlap and include both healthy and treatment skin in each treatment
section.
9

Treatment time will be prescribed by your veterinary care provider. Carefully
follow the protocol instructions for where, how long and how often to treat.
3.1.2.An example of laser irradiation:
1- Irradiation of a lick granuloma wound (the wound area is irradiated to
cover the entire wound including the edges with an effort not to
overlap)
2- Laser irradiation of a local lymph node.
