Using the device for the first time
Setting up the device
Place the device on a sturdy, level surface.
Connecting the headphones
− You can connect headphones with a 3.5 mm jack plug to the socket on the right side of the device. The speakers
switch off automatically whenever the headphones are connected.
CAUTION!
Loud volumes when using headphones or earphones generate excessive acoustic
pressure that can cause hearing loss.
− Before putting on headphones, set the volume to a minimum.
Connecting the power supply
− Once you have made all the connections, connect the plug to an easily accessible power socket (100-240 V ~
50/60 Hz.).
Switching the device on/off
− Switch the device on by turning the volume controller in a clockwise direction. The operating display will light up.
When the device has been switched off, it will continue to consume electricity. In order to switch it off completely,
please disconnect the plug.
If you do not need to use the device for a relatively long time, please take it out of operation. Disconnect the plug for
this purpose.
Connecting an external amplifier
You can optionally connect an external amplifier that takes over the sound output from the device.
