carefully read all instructions and ut it onto available lace in order to it is accessible for all otential
users.
Attention
This manual contains general instructions for use, o eration and maintenance of this roduct.
Directions can not cover all the details, so safe and ro er use of this roduct is entirely on user.

should be under the a licable regulations. It is recommended arranging training about the correct

COMPATIBILITY WITH FASTENING SYSTEM
Integral art of the trolley EXTERO is also fastening system ROLFIX, fixing the trolley in ambulance car
and different ty es of MEDIROL stretchers. MEDIROL Com any Ltd. strongly recommended fastening
the trolley only using fastening system Medirol® ROLFIX F102, which with the trolley Medirol ®
EXTERO P113 com lies with Euro ean standard EN 1789 in section 4.5.9. Using roducts from other
manufactures greatly increases the risk of ersonal injury or risk of harm to the atient or stretcher.

The roducer MEDIROL Ltd. rovides a guarantee for each roduct against defects in materials and
workmanshi :

•wheels
This warranty does not cover:
•standard wear
•im ro er installation
•im ro er maintenance
•installation of arts or accessories which are not originally intended for this roduct (or are
not com atible with it)
•damage or failure due to accident, im ro er use, misuse or negligence
In case of any modification of frame or any arts of the roduct this warranty ex ires com letely.
Producer roceeds re air in guarantee time by roduct´s re air or exchange for another.
Producer does not cover the freight charge for defective roduct or its arts.
Production label and this confirmed guarantee certificate are documents for claiming the guarantee.

Positioning of rear legs
It is not allowed to brake the trolley during ositioning – rear swivel wheels have to find
their osition themselves.
Lift the trolley until the weight is off the latching
mechanism.
When the trolley locks into the new osition, release
the control handle and lift the trolley until all four wheels
are off the ground to ensure that legs lock into osition.
During trolley riding in any case do not mani ulate with lever for back legs release. With
forward riding might ha en unwanted folding of front legs.

Positioning of front legs
It is not allowed to brake the trolley during positioning – rear swivel wheels have to
find their position themselves.
Lift the trolley until the weight is off the latching mechanism.
When the trolley locks into the new osition, release the control handle and lift the trolley
until all four wheels are off the ground to ensure that legs lock into osition.

Using of brakes
Brake locks the rotation in both vertical and horizontal axes.
IMPORTANT: Brake can be used in to height osition only.

During drive into ambulance car and unlocking the locker for ositioning trolley always
u lift in order to reduce action of force at locker for ositioning.
During drive out from ambulance car is necessary hold lever of the lock off legs locker
during unfold rear legs. Es ecially care about right unfold of front legs which must be safely
secured in unfolded osition before front trolley wheels ride down from ambulance car´s
deck.

Maintenance
Maintenance schedule
The stretcher requires regular maintenance. Build your maintenance schedule and follow it. The
table below re resents the minimum maintenance intervals.

Revision
MEDIROL recommend doing revision regularly. First revision ins ection erforms after 2 years and
then regularly ones a year.
Cleaning
•wash all arts with warm water
•remove blood stains with brush or solvent
•blow the water with com ressed air and wi e with soft cloth
•surface treat with universal agent WD-40 and olish
isinfection
•common disinfectants based on active and hydrogen eroxide can be used to disinfect
•the roducer recommends to erform test on hidden unused lace if used disinfectant is
inert to the surface of the surface of the roduct cover
Warning
Long-term use of disinfectants in excessive concentration without neutralization may change color of
surface, or damage the surface. For cleaning and disinfection of surface do not use the products
containing organic solvents such as acetone, toluene and gasoline.
Oiling
Lubricate all hinged and sliding joints with the universal roduct WD-40. Disinfectant may cause
undesirable degreasing of moving joints. Therefore ay attention to correct lubrication..
